EXCUSE YOU, SHE IS SKYE AND SHE WILL ALWAYS BE SKYE. NO.
ReplyDeleteSON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE IS SKYE, NOT DAISY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand this conniption fit that part of the fandom seams to be having. I thought we were suppose to "respect what she wanted to be called" (even though the "she" in this case is not a real person.) So the writers, who write the characters and decide what they want, have decided that now that Skye has met her birth parents and learned her birth name, she wants to be called Daisy. I'm sure she'll say that in the first episode of season 3. This isn't be thrust upon her. This is perfectly logical character development. So maybe some of you need to take a chill pill and step away from the caps lock button. M'kay?
ReplyDeleteIn other news... I think it would be great if Ward became Lash. I don't know very much about the comic character, but from the pics I've seen he's a big hunking dude with dark hair. Seems similar enough.
ReplyDeleteI'm mean, some of the fandom are desperate for him to be inhuman, right? And they haven't introduced him in the comics because they were waiting for one more thing, so I'm saying this is it.
ReplyDeleteI hope the blooper reel gets online soon, I really want to see that. Great news about the soundtracks (I've actually been looking for them recently). Looking forward to Season 3
ReplyDeleteYeah, for some of them I just don't see that happening, "It's an outrage" is all you are going to get. To me I get why she rejected Mary Sue and chose Skye, in the finale it's clear she had made her peace with Cal and cared for him, so I can see why she would want to take her name. Personnally I would have favoured a hybrid of "Skye Johnson" but I'm ok with this...
ReplyDeletePlease no. Ward has beef with SHIELD, his entire arc is centered on that, Lash is hunting inhumans, deciding who's worth and who isn't for whatever reason. I don't want to see Ward as Lash, he's already using up too much space unnecessarily and isn't he trying to revive Hydra and what's left of it?
ReplyDeleteCan someone post the comic con panel link for me please? :)
ReplyDeleteAnd this is a fictional TV show, so if you're going to allow your blood pressure to go to such dangerously high levels, there are probably more important things to allow to have that effect on you.
ReplyDeleteHow odd, I didn't realize you were the AoS showrunner. Such rude insubordination for them to make such decisions without your permission.
ReplyDeleteNo, it wouldn't. Enough with having Ward being this be-all, end-all nemesis, he's never been more than an annoyance to SHIELD and it's not now that that's going to change, even with the team he's assembling.
ReplyDeleteI don't like what they're doing to one of my favorite characters. They fail at dealing with brainwashing, abuse, and identity issues. I don't mind that Skye is Daisy but they're completely letting Daisy take over and no thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhy exactly would Skye use a name she has no emotional attachment to? Daisy is just as much as part of her as Mary Sue Poots is but Skye chose her own name and that's pretty important. Her mother literally tried to murder her. Why use that name?
You don't like what they are doing with any character at this stage I think, I love how you complain about victim blaming and then completely reject the idea that maybe Daisy can reach past what her mother became and what she was, the woman that helped run a clinic for people. She was able to make peace with Cal so it's not impossible for her.
ReplyDeleteAs to her choosing, a central theme of Skye since the pilot was her search for answers including her name/birthday etc. Rejecting Mary Sue and taking the name Skye was a rebellion against the system that had hurt her. Even in providence under questioning she made the point that she "had no family, no family name to inherit", and you could tell that hurt her, now she knows her family, knows her name, what makes you think she has no attachment to it?
Well of course, the Showrunners should ask the internet for permission for any growth in a character. I mean that they still aren't the exact same people that they were in the Pilot is completely unacceptable to me... (tempted to say and everyone else on the internet but I'll leave that to KG)
ReplyDeletePossible, in fact Ward's Fail Hydra may very well be a testament that 100% human enemies are are no longer enough to be credible threats to SHIELD now that they're setting up Secret Warriors, with every new enemy they face onwards pretty much having to have access to powers to be able to do any damage to them.
ReplyDeleteYou nailed it, that's pretty much it. She made her peace with her past and accepted Cal as her father, dropping 'Skye' in favor of 'Daisy Johnson' is how she honors the good man that he once was.
ReplyDeleteWhat? You mean her name isn't Skye Coulson-May?!?! IMPOSSIBLE!
ReplyDeleteNo no, you meant it's not Skye Coulson-May-Ward... I mean anything other than that is just the showrunners ruining the characters...
ReplyDelete
