ReplyDeletethank you. took the cw long enough to release this and they made it a vague a possible
ReplyDeleteMalcolm offering team arrow again? hmm
ReplyDeleteThat's it? Except for the offer this synopsis is full of stuff everyone knows about already.
ReplyDeletethe less info the better CW press release already give too much away before
ReplyDeleteThat's not the point. If it was their intention to release such a spoiler-free synopsis then there was no point to holding it back.
ReplyDelete"Malcolm (John Barrowman) makes a surprising offer to Team Arrow"
ReplyDeleteis it me or did we get two other press releases featuring that EXACT line already?
maybe after episode 21
ReplyDeleteAbout time!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why the wait though? This description doesn't spoil anything.
Evil Ollie is going to be a blast to watch.
Malcolm will offer himself as Oliver's replacement? Laurel has improved, but it's nowhere the level of Oliver. And with Roy gone...
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's how Thea also enters the Team, as Malcolm's sidekick. I still think Malcolm either dies this Season or he becomes the next Ra's(so that they can keep Barrowman as a guest star now and then). I'm more inclined into him dying.
not sure where it says that in there.
ReplyDeleteit says Ra's delivers "shocking news" ( to Nyssa), "Sara is still alive"?
ReplyDeleteit would be a coup if he did die. I don't think anyone would see it coming.
ReplyDeleteWe saw how she looked at Sara and how she checked on Felicity in 3x23 when she presented herself. She's not bi, she's full on gay. AT least that's how i see her. She didn't do googly eyes to Oliver anytime, but totally checked on Felicity xD
ReplyDeleteNa, i think it's Thea and Roy. More of a "spoken" thing(they can't marry legally since he's "dead"). Guggenheim said they don't know if the wedding will carry over into Season 4. I only see that scenario that aplies.
ReplyDeleteAnd reveal the huge unknown secret that Oliver joined the league?
ReplyDeleteThe sarcasm is strong with you.
ReplyDeleteOh this is nothing.
ReplyDeleteMG said that Thea and Roy would be getting closure; that doesn't sound like a wedding to me. Two tasks to become Ra's and a shocking demand sounds like a wedding to me. A stupid wedding, but a wedding.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're right about Thea and Roy.
I wonder what Malcolm's offer is? Hopefully it's to aide them in defending the city, because I really enjoyed their little team up this past episode! It was really exciting to watch. And John Barrowman is so wonderful to see on screen, so him having MORE scenes would be amazing. Also, I can't wait to see what "shocking news" Ra's delivers!
ReplyDeleteThat would be amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't?
ReplyDeleteBut there's a wedding in 3x22, and Ra's giving Oliver two tasks to complete and delivering shocking news to Nyssa seems like it might involve a wedding. It's just spec.
Oh, i remember your early "opinion" on Ray Palmer. I've seen your sarcasm at it's best, i think LMFAO.
ReplyDeleteYou see, my problem with Oliver and Nyssa's wedding is that i'm really scared of popular opinion on this. They killed their only bi-sexual hero and are gonna force their only gay character to marry a man so that he could be considered a king.
ReplyDeleteThat's wrong. And the media backslash would be HUGE.
only this time....he'll be offering himself
ReplyDeletehttp://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx291/katfilan/Gifs/tumblr_limbaaSeqB1qgc5w6o1_400.gif
Yeah, I wouldn't like it for the very same reasons. The only way it would be okay with me is if Oliver and Nyssa willingly entered into it together with a plan to defeat Ra's...somehow.
ReplyDeleteI guess the shocking news Ra's delivers could be that Sara's alive.
Has a woman ever become Ra's in the comics? Is that why Nyssa wasn't chosen as heir??
ReplyDeletewell, no it says "shocking news" not a demand and it implies that it is direct at Nyssa.
ReplyDeleteWell, that i would be ok and it would make some sense as to how on hell will this story will end in 2 episode. Oliver marries Nyssa, he becomes Ra's and orders the League to capture Matt Nable's Ra's.
ReplyDeleteThen Oliver leaves and leaves Nyssa as his replacement to lead. He orders, as Ra's, that the League obey Nyssa.
So the mistery set, the plane, in wich Oliver, Ra's and Nyssa interact could be Oliver and Nyssa taking Ra's to Lian Yu with Slade and Boomerang.
don't really see Nyssa agreeing to that. and how would being married be a requirement after Ra's whole speech bout giving up what you love (or entanglements) to take on the mantle of the Demon?
ReplyDeleteDamn, I miss Captain Jack.
ReplyDeleteOne reason could be she always viewed Ollie as the enemy.
ReplyDeleteyes, his daughter Thalia is current leader of the LOA.
ReplyDeleteOnly if Sara is her normal self. Maybe he put her in the pit and she's really, really off because she was already dead instead of mostly dead like Thea? Although I'm not at all sure why Ra's would try to save Sara considering he didn't approve of Nyssa's attachment to her - I thought if anyone would've pitted her it'd be Nyssa.
ReplyDeleteWe're going to Roy already?
ReplyDeleteright, I get that but he has other kids (though they haven't been brought up in this universe) it just seem out of character for Ra's as he has shown little interest in his own daughter why that of a grandchild?
ReplyDeleteI could maybe see it as a way to legitimize Oliver's claim and cement his power base, especially if there are enough people loyal to Nyssa.
I was so cheering on Batarrow in the last episode...:)..Seriously though...I was really happy that he joined LOA.Now for some serious dark stuff.
ReplyDeleteWell, it hasn't been well explained, but isn't the only reason Nyssa isn't the heir because of this stupid prophecy? Ra's took issue with Nyssa's relationship with Sara but he didn't oust her as heir until Oliver didn't die after he was kicked off that cliff. Doesn't seem like Ra's can just choose someone who isn't a descendent. Maybe he wants to make sure the line is shored up?
ReplyDeleteF**k Moffat for not using Capt. Jack on the 50th Anniversary...
ReplyDeletepossibly, but being leader of the LOA was never about genetics, it wasn't an aristocracy. (at least not in the comics as to who can cannot be the head) and Nyssa was never really the heir, in even the comics, Thalia always outshone her (was also crazy and used the pit, a lot and had a son with Batman) and is now the head.
ReplyDeleteSo, whatever logic they got going in this show seems to be their own.
can we also just F**k Moffat in general for what he has done to the series?
ReplyDeleteIs that just in the comics - I didn't think she was been introduced into the show? Maybe I missed this but what's the reason that Nyssa can't be the heir? Because she and Sara were in a relationship and that isn't something that Ra's would tolerate in the new heir?
ReplyDeleteI think I've said this before but it still is an issue for me with this season as a whole. I need a baddie to balance the good and drive the narrative. On the good Oliver identifies Diggle as his brother; he is in love with Felicity and he wants to protect his sister. I don't get Ra's motivation for wanting Oliver to take his place. One is a killer the other doesn't believe in doing that anymore. And Matt Nable is underwhelming as Ra's.
Yes, in the comics.
ReplyDeleteI think, though I may have missed it fully, that there was some bullshit prophecy that both Ra's and Malcolm talked about. It sounded thin when they mentioned it and even more so in execution.
I agree he is a very subdued Ra's for my liking. He is less scary/threatening and more annoying then anything. He doesn't exactly radiant power and the cray pit zealot that is in the comics.
I think those are good turning point for Oliver, hopefully it sticks for s4.
they could of gone more vague than this, id barely call vague at all conpared to others I've read.
ReplyDeleteThat's true.
ReplyDeletehopefully, he goes, as I see know reason to keep him around or why he isbstill here. Thea is jot a good enough reason.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry are you talking about Malcolm? we are talking about Steven Moffat the head writer of Doctor Who.
ReplyDeleteI'm just interested how this works out in the terms of timeline. This should happen after 1x22 of The Flash.
ReplyDeleteIntrigued !
This all sounds neat.
well a evil oliver will be interesting........similar to captain Picard become a Borg....which was concluded in 3 episode. I expect the same thing here
ReplyDeleteThe actor just doesn't have enough presence for the role. Ra's should dominate any scene he is in.
ReplyDeleteThat's it. I thought it would be more spoilery. Hmm. Last two tasks. Let me guess kill someone and marry Nyssa. That must be the shocking news Ra's delivers to Nyssa. If that is the case I hope Nyssa and Oliver make a pact and overthrow Ra's.
ReplyDeleteNow Malcolm's offer to TA. Maybe he wants to be next Arrow.
knowing the league it will probably be some sort of f*cking handfasting with a lot of scented candles. because who needs electricity or consent force your lesbian daughter to marry a man, like the magic water god intended!
ReplyDeleteno mentioning of Diggle - not good. Could he really bite the dust next week?
ReplyDeletethe Flash/Arrow timeline is really confusing, I can't tell anymore. I wonder if they ever actually put the thought into it or if they map out the two shows seperately.
ReplyDeleteIt is really not working especially with those major arcs for their main characters.
ReplyDeleteI mean Oliver is meant to appear in The Flash in 1x22 but it airs before 3x23 what is the Arrow finale. If we got a small cliffhanger on 3x22 it would throw everything out of balance. A really bad move by the CW to mess with all this.
Maybe one of the tasks is to kill Barry lol (sarcastic lol)
ReplyDeleteNothing makes sense anymore!!! I freaking hate that SL with passion.
Which SL? AlSahim? It has to be done so Evil Oliver will never get mention again.
ReplyDeleteThat's not stopped Arrow writers from putting stuff in the show this season.
ReplyDeleteThat won't help with the backlash really. Nyssa still had to marry a man to become Ra's and then only because he ordered the league to let it happen. That's just plain bad.
ReplyDeleteIt was a blond woman with glasses that was seen driving off with Oliver to parts unknown. Oliver marrying Nyssa would be too disturbing for me. Just picture Thanksgiving dinner with the family *shudders*
ReplyDeleteYes Oliver joining the league. I just hate everything about it. And seeing him in that suit and him potentially harming Dig or maybe Felicity is JUST NO! All of this happened because of Malcolm and no one punished him and even worse he is now a free man and he's trying to be a good father?! Are you kidding me?!!
ReplyDelete(thanks for using the correct spelling, I love you guys for that :D)
I think he will realize that he can't be the Demon's head and will break it off before anything drastic happens. But as said better we get Dark Oliver now and get over it.
ReplyDeleteI really hope something happens with Malcolm by season ends. Maybe Laurel or Nyssa abduct him and torture over the summer. Him getting out of this bump free is a to long stretch.
(I'll tried to spell it right, glad I was successful ^^)
funny how opinions can be so completely the opposite. I absolutely love everything LoA related. If it were up to me Oliver would be in the league for half a season rather than two or three episodes. Not that I want Oliver to harm Diggle or Felicity (and I don't think he will), but some badassness is almost always great to watch. White knight kind of heroes are boring.
ReplyDeleteBeing gay doesn't mean she can't get married to a man though. Depends on how much she's willing to sacrifice to be on the throne.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to have Talia though
He lacks the strenght and most of all a moral core to be Ra's. He's impulsive, egoistical and covardly.
ReplyDeleteamen to that, the character was major enough...hell....they even used his vortex manipulator
ReplyDeleteYES, I get that DW is all about change but ever since he's running it I'm tired of his "Oh, I'm sosmaaaart" writing.
ReplyDeleteA. I disagree, Malcolm rocks
ReplyDeleteB. we're not talking about Malcolm
C. contextual reading, lean it
Yeah, you're right. Agree.
ReplyDeletealso, his destruction of basic canon, making it very tween and lets be honest the writing not that great and even the doctor, example #11, is much dumbed down.
ReplyDeletebut his eyes were SOOOOOOOO dreamy <3<3<3<3 me shipppzzz hmmm w/ amy
ReplyDeletehold my knickers tiny dancer, and by tiny I mean Dalek because i would rather see a Dalek mate.
ReplyDeleteglad I'm not the only one that isn't too hot on DW since Moffat took over though, it seems like the fanbase is pretty....ecstatic about him
ReplyDeleteyes, and believe me I tried to watch it but it was just too awful.
ReplyDelete
