I don't understand the logic in having Margaux as an antagonist. I mean, character/motivation-wise, I get it, but why would the writers even put her in that position? It's not working for me at all, despite how much I like Karine Vanasse.
I love Emily telling Margaux who boss and I can't wait to see how it all goes down but I really think this should be the last season because I think it's lost it's edge
Id say it's more of problem that they have not done a good job writing a new facet of the story this season. Especially, with Margaux role not really being that believable in relation to Emily, and the the David story was mostly a fail on their part.
I loved the twist with the break and enter. Using a magnet to wipe the hard drive was clever. using the bracelet to have her wipe it herself was a stroke of pure genius!
I have to say I'm kind of disappointed in revenge lately, but on the bright side I had low expectations of this side, so I wouldn't be too disappointed when I watch it. Revenge seriously needs to step up it's game, cause these last 7 episodes could possibly be the last of the series. I don't want it to get remembered as the show that got canceled because it got bad. I want it to be a show that's remembered as one that ended with a bang.
It was a little better then the last one, but I was still kind of disappointed. I guess I expected more cause for most of this season revenge has had epic epidides
I'm starting to hate Emily and calling her a bitch for rejecting Jack! Ugh! He's like the only boyfriend who truly loves you and wants to be there for you and you say no?!?!?!
Meanwhile, ABC should think about making a Revenge sitcom based on Louise. It'll probably get better ratings and garner around a 1.5.
I LOVED the episode! it was amazing! I didn't expect most of the things...Just one thing that is not clear to me - what does Margo have as a story for Ben's wife? Is Ben a bad guy who did something to his wife?! Couldn't get this...
I voted great. The episode was really entertaining and full of unpredictable twists most of which i did not see coming-that's a definite plus!I loved the natalie reveal or the way the team took conned margaux-she needs to get killed ASAP.Same goes for Ben,which will most probably happen by the time finale strikes. Once again,i enjoyed this episode a lot and it felt like good old season 1 revenge takedown-Good stuff!
What I got from the convo between Margaux/Ben was that his wife did something so she had to run away, and Mar said someone else (bad I suppose) is looking for her for other intentions than to reunite with her, like Ben. My guess he's the long-haired guy in the promo?
I feel like the writers know that Margaux isn't a worthy adversary of Emily. Emily even said it in tonight's episode. "I'm just better" and "try to be smarter if you want to catch me."
Emily's goading Margaux and it's clear foreshadow that Emily will break Margaux, even with Margaux's more erratic attempts to catch Emily.
And as for the David storyline, sure — it's not the same juicy goodness as season 1 — but the thing with season 1 was that it was fresh and new; we never met David. Now that we have, personally, I loved Emily defending their father-daughter bond at all costs; even if it was to end with her life, which she indicating in Abduction when she screamed at Malcolm for him to not hurt David.
I understand the irritation with these seasons, I do, but at the same time — if you're looking for something that has to do with a great plot yet underdeveloped characters, there are plenty shows that don't provide as much substance as Revenge, characteristically speaking.
Again, I'm not mad — I'm just refuting what you said, because as as an avid television watcher, I've seen shows tank and I honestly don't see it happening with Revenge. People aren't going to remember Emily Thorne as someone who faced off against Margaux, or the person married to Daniel Grayson, or the person who faced The White Haired Man and the Initiative, as well as Malcolm Black. They're going to remember her as one of the many femme fatales who changed the game of television, and frankly, I'm glad and proud. There are many soaps that deal with crime lords and cheating husbands and they have nothing on Revenge. So, I'm going to keep watching. Because Emily Thorne has a place in my heart right next to Sydney Bristow, and there aren't words to describe how she's influenced and impacted my life.
If you don't like the show, don't watch. It's as simple as that, to be completely honest.
Just ok, very underwhelming. There were a few great bits like Emily breaking in and her face off with Margaux, and a bit more stuff, but I still feel like many things the writers are doing are just forced; I don't feel like the stakes are high enough and it certainly lacks the spark of intensity which I love on Revenge. The last two episodes has been a huge step down and I hope that gets fixed soon. The storylines have to start to connect, it feels they are just being pushed and plunged together instead of naturally developing
Not a fan of Margaux's vendetta against Emily. The logic doesn't hold up for me and I just don't care. But the one upmanship with regard to getting rid of that video was fun. I did like Victoria's taking crazy chick (blanking on the character's name sorry) brother under her wing. The lesson about grief and scinserity was fun to watch. Good that Jack got that off his chest. Hope they don't go all 'make Jack a jerk" on us again. Was worried that David was going to become wasted space but hopefully this new storyline will be fun.
I had fun with the ep. (I hope Nolan, his new wife and Emily turn into a fun team to reckon with. Superheros! )
I'm hoping that they did some really good brainstorming over the hiatus. They have some major paradigm shifts to contend with. (Most everyone knows who Emily really is. She and Victoria have nothing else to fight aobut. David is back.) I'm hoping they can take all that and get back to the over the top fun soap opera they started as.
I just rewatched ep 9 today and he says (to Emily) that she left him and that she never loved him and that she only wanted to use him or something like that. I kinda wanna know what's up with her tbh (even if I want Ben out ASAP lol).
For the first time i want the "bad" guys to win. I so want for Margaux to exposed Emily i want that Victoria takes the fortune from that useless lady and want Lyman to sleep with Nolan lol. For real. Its the firt time i feel like that. Ugh. Also im still loving Jack/Margaux they are so cute together. It's sad that Emily apparently ahs moved on but Jack still loves her. Go for something else man.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Ugh! I think I am done. It's just not the show it used to be
ReplyDeleteWell, it can't always stay in the season 1 mindset. A story has to evolve. That's the purpose of story-telling.
ReplyDelete(Not being rude, btw. Just stating logic).
I personally loved Emily telling Margaux who's boss. Emily will crush Margaux, and I personally cannot wait to see how it goes down. :)

ReplyDeleteWHY DID EMILY SAY NO TO JACK. WHO ELSE IS HEARTBROKEN.
ReplyDeletewww.itsforeverpotter.tumblr.com for more revenge
Seriously, you didnt see that coming? What show ARE you watching?

ReplyDeleteI love the twist of Victoria's new mother-in-law.
ReplyDeleteBummed about Jack and Emily. I knew it was coming, but it still hurts.

AIDEN is her true love, they were going to get married until that witch with a B ruined her life AGAIN
ReplyDeletei think was her true love as well.....they had similar stories and seem to understand each better than anyone .....
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible episode. It started out funny and full of drama but ended with so many emotions. It's the Revenge I love.
ReplyDeleteyep so it was horrible what the creator did to Emily

ReplyDeleteMargaux is super annoying lately

Jack was always her true love . And thank Victoria killed him , he was as bland as it gets

Good for me, better than ep 14.
ReplyDeleteJack was Amanda's true love not Emily....
ReplyDeleteyou got that right! Aiden knew everything and accepted Emily
ReplyDeleteMy guess, she was part of Ben's undercover mission. Something happened and she left.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I really liked it
