I HATE YOU SO MUCH 12 MONKEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRST YOU MAKE CASSIE DIE IN COLE'S ARMS AND THEN YOU DESTROY COLE AND RAMSE'S FRIENDSHIP, THEY'RE BROTHERS!!!!!! HOW COULD YOU?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jennifer is so f- crazy I LOVE IT. I'm just SO lost when it comes down to Elena's subplot. Jones killing everyone for the "greater good" reminded me a lot of Clarke in The 100. It was too sad and Jones looked a bit crazy. I'm also sad to see Cole and Remse's friendship shaken like that. Everyone made the mission so personal to them they stopped thinking of the greater good.
Cole is so madly in love with Cassie it's painful to watch. "A lot has happen to you and me" and "James"? Oh yeah, totally sexytimes (I'm 12). They definitely got VERY close and now it makes sense the producer said they'll end up the season as more than friends.
yeah she called him James, i think i actually freaked out!!!! but i was heartbroken with her you know..., so you think they definitely got together? but DAMN IT!!! Cassie was supposed to be immune!!!
Cassie dying in Cole's arms and him kissing her forehead broke me. Yes, I cried. Sobs and all.
And then the writers give us more heartbreak with Cole and Ramse fighting. Ramse come back! Cole was kind of a jerk in that scene but he just lost Cassie. I don't think he really knew what he was saying.
The role reversal - I didn't think Ramse had been the one who convinced Cole to take on the mission. That was a surprise. And now it's switched. He doesn't want anything to do with the mission and now Cole wants to complete the mission more now than ever.
Also want to say I knew the reason Jones wanted to change the past for her family since they first mentioned her husband and daughter. It only makes sense.
Positive: OMG Cassie said a lot had happened between her and Cole! *Sorry for the fangirling, because that's exactly what I'm doing right now.*
I've been waiting for those since Cassie took care of Cole when he was shot and the flashback where Cole looks at her photo and Jones says "she is not your mission". I knew she'd become a part of his mission.
I feel like I need to watch it again to process it all. Jones was ruthless. And Jennifer was fun to watch. I already thought Cole was with Cassie when she died, so that didn't surprise me. So glad we're getting season two so we can get the scenes she was talking about.
I definitely do think they go together (as "together" as they could be) and Cassie was never immune, Cole took her watch off her corpse, remember? ALSO SUPER NICE THROWBACK when Cassie says just before dying "see you soon" it was a the same thing Cole said when he found her watch in the pilot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKIpyEuIcHw
Oh yeah she'd definitely become his mission (maybe Jones knew something and wanted to prevent a repeat?) and Cole made her his mission so much that now he's doing everything to save her and the past/future.
yeah, it feels like Castle and Beckett's "Always" actually and Chuck and Sarah's "Don't Freak Out", i guess every couple needs one LOL except Cole and Cassie's is more tragic, God i NEEDED her to be immune, it's not fair to Cole or her
i think essentially the only thing he cares about now is saving Cassie, he lost his brother at least i HOPE for a while, but i don't think it's crazy to think that CASSIE is Cole's mission now. What do you think Cole felt when Cassie used "James" instead of his last name "Cole"
right?! but i kind of expected that it was Ramse because it's just who he is. Yeah when Cassie said that a lot happened between her and Cole i had an inkling but when called him "JAMES" i think it cemented it LOL
i don't know, i thought it moved forward but why would it be fixed? he scratched it in 2013 and it was still scratched in 2015 and 2016 it should still be scratched in 2017, what do you think that address leads to?
I have no idea where the address leads to. Since Cassie basically tells him to save himself, I wonder if it's a way to save him from being killed by the time jumps or maybe he gets injured later on and needs to go there for help. Or it's about saving the world. IDK
As for the watch, I just finished watching the episode again and saw the watch's scratch disappear when she died. I have no real idea what that means. I mean, it had to happen in order for Cole to find it later in the future (in the first episode) and to show Cassie that when something happens in the past the future is changed. (He scratched the 2013 watch and the 2043 version got scratched).
All I noticed was the watch becoming un-scratched again. I really want to know the reason behind that besides the fact that in 2043 when Cole finds Cassie's body and retrieves the watch that it isn't scratched and he needed to scratch it to explain to Cassie in "Splinter" how when something happens in the past the future is than affected after.
i think it's the character-centric episodes, i focus so much on the characters that i don't pay attention to time travel, like the watch i saw it happen and focused but then the scene with Cole and Ramse grabbed me. But then the headaches come in a million times worse LOL
still not enough data to support this theory imho - there could be a future where she's dead but the mankind survives minus the plague but we don't/can't see it like she's a doctor and somehow her work helps the 12 monkeys so they create a mere efficient plague and it is possible as she mentions in her message the monkeys were watching her - so eliminate her (like Goins) earlier and the plague is "worse", less effective or can't mutate in addition I'd like to create a petition "bring back Goines" 'cause he was a great character and was removed waaaay too early
The doctor lady is nuts they had a cure but she doesn't want a cure she wants to bring her daughter back to life. Einstein with his math say's yes time travel is possible but would you really want to go back in time and change something? Thinking about it sound like yes. This is what could happen say you, a 12 monkeys super virus happened and now it's 30 years in the future the virus has been stopped and now there is a cure all for it but you built yourself a time machine and want to go back and stop the virus because your wife or child died because of the virus you prevail and you stop the virus from every happening. Because of what you did a certain person didn't die from the virus this person becomes a leader of a nuclear power and launch's all of his nuclear weapons and kills everyone and everything on the planet except for the cockroaches. Because you wanted to save someone who had already died you gave cockroaches there own planet.
Yeah, like in the move "The Time Machine " he tells himself I can come back a thousand times and she will die a thousand different ways and in the end he learns that she doesn't belong in his time anymore because if she doesn't die then he never has a reason to build the time machine in the first place.
It was certainly implied at how she looked and talked to him. Cassie was never meant to be immune we all knew this is about when she was going to die but Cole can fix it I'm just curious what will happen if they do fix the virus but I also know that something bigger will happen than the virus.
Like you said it's like Castle at least a little bit because even on that show it means a lot more when she says his first name so it looks like they get a lot closer I just wonder what happened to Aaron not that I'm complaining about not seeing him.
I just think it was part of the loop I don't know how time made the scratch go away but it was supposed to do that so Cole can show Cassie he's not crazy.
I didn't know she was it ended so badly I didn't like it. You know they can't kill off Cole or Cassie they already killed her twice now and Cole I have a feeling he died probably from traveling through time and the note Cassie gave Cole is to save his life somehow maybe he'll be able to travel through time without the machine? That's what I wish would happen and wish he didn't have to worry about side effects.
i just saw the most horrible thing: Ramse is now officially a VILLAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the sneak peek for next week's episode, God it's horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah that's true and i DO get chills whenever she calls him"Rick" and yeah i don't hate Aaron i just don't want him with Cassie but i hope he didn't die
i don't understand the first part of your sentence but yeah it'd be so awesome if he could splinter as many times as he wants. They just can't kill them off AT ALL
Yes, that white streak. It's only been 2 years so maybe she just had it colored in? Unless having the virus gives you a Rogue effect (X-Men reference).
that is a good one the person she killed had the cure. The smart thing to do would be to use your ideal take the cure back along with a sample of the 2048 strain of the virus so the lab techs at the CDC can manufacture a antivirus To save all 7.5 billion humans who now over populate the planet
Cassie? I always wondered about that as well. It seems that no matter what they do, she still dies, and if they do change the past, then Cole's erased and back to being a child, which means they'll never meet anyway. So the end has to be a comprimise somewhere....
Yeah that's what I thought as well! If Cassie dying reset everything so Cole would find the watch and go back to the past, then maybe keeping Cassie alive may be the answer.
Cole is always splintering back and forth, in no linear timeline and with odd periods of time in between, so if Cassie and Cole started some sort of romantic relationship it'd be very shaky. How to tell your friends you have a boyfriend but oh he can't come to dinner because I don't know when he'll be around?
I agree so much! I didn't have a problem about Ramses changing his mind but his hypocrisy and his attack on Cole by acting like Cole was selfish when Cole was only there because Ramses forced him into it, really made me lose a lot of respect and liking for him. They just got done showing us Ramses forced Cole into this! I didn't appreciate Ramses at all.
About not thinking she was ever immune? I want those two to never die they're the leads and I know leads die but please not this show they technically already died enough times I believe from 2017 Cassie she saw Cole die and that's why he's not around so they each died twice for Cole he died in the alternate timeline and now probably because of splintering too much.
I guess it's some type of medical treatment to heal what the side effects of splintering is doing to him. I wish Cole knew what the cost was before he started but it's impressive that he's still going even though he knows he's slowly dying.
No it's just based the episode descriptions I read at IGN last month that's how I know and I had some theories about Ramse turning on Cole I just didn't know why if it was true except thinking Elena and Sam were killed because of Jones.
They both have some selfish motives and can't understand each other at this point. Ramse doesn't understand how much Cole has come to care about Cassie, and Cole doesn't understand why Ramse having a son changes things for him.
It is ironic that Ramse's suggestion for Cole to take the mission and too take a chance with Cassie has backfired for him in a way.
Yeah from the promo, he's just doing what he thinks is best. It doesn't make him a villain, I can't see him becoming a bad guy, he just will likely become an enemy of the project.
That episode was a rollercoaster of emotions... I nearly missed the slow pace of the 108. Three different stories, everything interconnected. That's really good writing there, because I was never lost, but it also never felt like the writers needed to over-explain things. We get clues and echoes, and it's all in the wrong order, but it still makes sense somehow. I loved that they hinted at West 7's origin, as well as the army. Could Jennifer be the Witness? I'm glad the show's renewed, because there is so much more to tell.
yep definitely i NEED Cassie and Cole both ALIVE and TOGETHER LOL and i'm still basically screaming at 12 Monkeys for turning Cole and Ramse's great friendship into basically turning them into arch-enemies ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
I don't think Cassie would ever agree to that, not without saving the world first. And the machine is only meant for one person who needs to take an injection before going through the machine.
I'm thinking that maybe Cole met Jones in the past and that's why she knows it's him? Because he was right if she just said Cole then anyone could be the person Cassie was trying to inform.
i really really hope not, and wow you're right i've been thinking who the comic relief is on the show and it's mostly Ramse, sure Aaron has funny moments but it's mostly Ramse
Yeah, but it seems to be the thing with sci-fi characters. And we haven't seen Cassie with any friends since Jeremy died. Even then, he wasn't someone she hung out with.
I have no idea who Aaron is to her right now. They seem to be stuck between friends and girlfriend/boyfriend since their break-up after Cole's first visit.
yeah like i said, it's sort of Cole, Aaron and Ramse but when i think of something funny that someone on the show said it's mostly Ramse. We get fish-out-of-water moments with Cole but not always and i miss that
I think for the movie and tv show this rule would apply. You can't belong in time you're not meant to be in. In the movie because of her death he builds the time machine and without her dying he has no reason to build it and in a way her timeline is no longer happening. She is always meant to die on that night. And on the tv show if Cole timeline doesn't begin until after Cassie timeline then she wouldn't be able to go any further then the day of her death. Sorta like a stop point in time and your time line no longer exists. Since Cole is in Cassie future every time Cole comes back time itself should be effected since in a way Cole doesn't belong in the past, Cassie present. I really don't know. I think thinking about this stuff.
Did they already mentionned that in the series? I don't remember... and if it's a "spoiler" from the movie, don't say anything, I plan on rewatching it when season one is over!
no it's not from the movie because apparently in the movie they didn't delve into the future. They mentioned The Daughters when the West 7 wanted to get into the compound and Deacon put a substance on Cole's wound and mentioned that The Daughters gave it to him, it's the episode called "Atari"
yeah especially since Cassie mentioned it to "James", it must be a real place, speaking of The Red Forest, i actually forgot about The Witness until Cole mentioned it LOL
Clearly Jones is so focused on her personal agenda she is not thinking logically. However, wouldn't it have been a much better plan to not murder the one man who actually had succeeded in finding a cure for the mutated strain in the hope he could eventually use his knowledge to find a cure for the original strain? Even with only the mutated strain cure, I would think their best hope would have been to have Cole bring that formula to the past so CDC scientists, both past and future, could all be working on it. Perhaps some great scientist of the past, who died from the virus so is not alive in the future, could have been the the key to developing the cure for the original strain.
I know Jones has convinced herself all of the murders and terrible things she has done are not really real, do not count, since all will be erased *when* she succeeds. However, since all prior attempts at stopping the virus from getting out have failed, even when Cole thought he had succeeded, it seems like getting that cure info to the past CDC would have at least been a good back up plan.
i have wondered, though, if information and interaction from the future could be exactly what causes the creation of the virus in the past. In other words, Jones/ Cole meddling in the past could ironically be what causes the creation of the virus and/ or the pandemic. I have wondered if Cole himself is 'patient zero'. He may be immune to the effects of the virus but he was directly exposed to it. Does his immunity prevent him from being a carrier of the virus?
Plus as Cole said it leads to a world where people revert to basically being animals, scavenging, etc. How's that really better than the crimes of today? Unless you're into the "let everyone human die so animals can take back the Earth" thing.
Hmmm I guess I should check them out. The only one I saw was the doctors partying when they thought it would be their last night. I didn't think the webisodes held important details.
I'm doubting that this would be the case, but we can't rule things out with this show.
The only time Cole's been directly hit by the virus so far in the past was when the briefcase was opened in episode 7. When people reached him in 2017 the plague was already out.
And while Cole has been exposed in his time, each time he and Ramse enter the building where the machine is kept they're checked to make sure the virus isn't on them (episode 2, the scene where Ramse tells Cole he's different).
Everyone should check out the 12Monkeys website ProjectSplinter.com they just put up a forum for us all to get together, talk and share fanfics, fanvids and fanart. It's really cool.
All the ones with the scientists' logs are nice, but don't provide a lot of info. The other ones are pretty confusing, though (the one with Jennifer, and the one featuring the nameless woman affiliated with the Army).
Not yet. Another episode with him would be great. With the same actor, I mean. The same character minus 30 years could mean a younger actor. Or a bad wig.
The Paradox in place here is so apparent. I'd be surprised if no one sees it. Cole is Cassandras son and therefore Cole is Cassandras father dude to the fact that Cassandra is his mother who turns out to be his lover and they have a kid who turns out to be Cassandra and Cassandra and that other guy she used to be married to have a kid who turns out to be Ramsie and Ramsies son is really cole, who sometime in the near future will be erased from this timeline and magically put into the new one and then cole gets disfigured and has to shave his head and he becomes Ramsie and the time travel device splits Ramsie who is now Cole into two people and cole becomes katrina jones and goes back to the original cole. He therefore sends himself back in time to interact with himself. ITS SO fukin OBVIOUS. just kiddin. if people were buying into this shite, theres only one thing i can say LOL.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I HATE YOU SO MUCH 12 MONKEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ReplyDeleteHa! Yes sexy times.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm going to watch again at 11pm and get the episode online tomorrow. I'm going to be watching some of these scenes quite often.
ReplyDeleteI definitely do think they go together (as "together" as they could be) and Cassie was never immune, Cole took her watch off her corpse, remember? ALSO SUPER NICE THROWBACK when Cassie says just before dying "see you soon" it was a the same thing Cole said when he found her watch in the pilot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKIpyEuIcHw
ReplyDeleteOh yeah she'd definitely become his mission (maybe Jones knew something and wanted to prevent a repeat?) and Cole made her his mission so much that now he's doing everything to save her and the past/future.
ReplyDeleteYes! He also said it in one other episode to her before he splintered. I don't remember which episode. Maybe the 2nd.
ReplyDeletei know, i just NEEDED her to be
ReplyDeleteyeah int Bookstore when they officially teamed up
ReplyDeleteHa, I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteyeah, it feels like Castle and Beckett's "Always" actually and Chuck and Sarah's "Don't Freak Out", i guess every couple needs one LOL except Cole and Cassie's is more tragic, God i NEEDED her to be immune, it's not fair to Cole or her
ReplyDeletethanks LOL
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling it's going to be quite a romantic tragedy. Already is. So much in their way. Limited time jumps, destined deaths, oh my.
ReplyDeletei think essentially the only thing he cares about now is saving Cassie, he lost his brother at least i HOPE for a while, but i don't think it's crazy to think that CASSIE is Cole's mission now. What do you think Cole felt when Cassie used "James" instead of his last name "Cole"
ReplyDeleteoof, you know i never saw it because well it's not my thing but isn't it sort of The Time Traveler's Wife?
ReplyDelete"She is not your mission. She's just a puzzle piece." Not to Cole. #12Monkeys @12MonkeysTVF @hanko9 @12MonkeysTV pic.twitter.com/5nkvhb11M7— CP (@BlueStar22X) March 14, 2015
ReplyDeleteright?! but i kind of expected that it was Ramse because it's just who he is. Yeah when Cassie said that a lot happened between her and Cole i had an inkling but when called him "JAMES" i think it cemented it LOL
ReplyDeletenow she's the only thing that matters to Cole
ReplyDeletewhat do you think the watch meant?
ReplyDeleteIt was fixed wasn't it? I was live tweeting so I missed it and only saw it on a tweet after the show.
ReplyDeleteBetter not be the end of Cole and Ramse's friendship. Ramsey's funny and their friend is/was great.
ReplyDeletei don't know, i thought it moved forward but why would it be fixed? he scratched it in 2013 and it was still scratched in 2015 and 2016 it should still be scratched in 2017, what do you think that address leads to?
ReplyDeleteOne of my fave episodes this season. I loved all the year jumping.
ReplyDeleteWhat was that weird scene with THE watch? Was it slowing or something? Was it repairing itself? 'Cause it means they changed timeline again. Right?
ReplyDeleteI guess. Sort of.
ReplyDelete(I'll admit I've seen it. lol Hated the ending. Secretly when I'm not watching badass sci-fi shows I sometimes watch sappy romances. Shhhhh….)
I have no idea where the address leads to. Since Cassie basically tells him to save himself, I wonder if it's a way to save him from being killed by the time jumps or maybe he gets injured later on and needs to go there for help. Or it's about saving the world. IDK

Time travel loop headache.

ReplyDeletei think it's very cool :
ReplyDeletehttp://adf.ly/158Jj3
ha! it's cool
ReplyDeleteyeah i think we'll ALL need aspirins because you just confused me LOL
ReplyDeleteyou know part of me forgets that this is a time travel show, i know it's weird
ReplyDeletelike saving Cassie saves the world?
ReplyDeleteLOL Sorry. I didn't want to be the only one in pain. :P
ReplyDeleteYes. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteAt least that's my dream scenario.
What? How? My time travel headaches never let me forget.
ReplyDeletei get that LOL
ReplyDeletei think it's the character-centric episodes, i focus so much on the characters that i don't pay attention to time travel, like the watch i saw it happen and focused but then the scene with Cole and Ramse grabbed me. But then the headaches come in a million times worse LOL

in addition I'd like to create a petition "bring back Goines" 'cause he was a great character and was removed waaaay too early
it kind of makes sense, everything went to hell when Cassie died after The Night Room aftermath and it created an alternate future
ReplyDeletehis character WAS great but i think he had served his purpose
ReplyDeleteI get getting lost in the scenes. I was too busy crying when Cassie died to notice the watch the first time I saw the episode.
ReplyDeleteBut that was because her message to Cole was never made. So the whole time travel thing never happened.
ReplyDeleteAnd now my headache's worst cause how then, did Cole go into the past the very first time? lol
yeah and the fact the we see her alive and well in the next episode and seasons makes it all the more heartbreaking
ReplyDeletegeez we all need to give the creator of time travel a good smack in the head for giving us headaches LOL
ReplyDeleteI will have hope until the end that some way some how they can both live and be together. Very unrealistic but I want it! *pouts*
ReplyDeleteWell I can't blame them too much. I just want to understand why I love time travel so much when it hurts?
ReplyDeleteWe'll see Goines again surely. Cole hasn't gone to 1987 yet. Now they have the shiny new core maybe it will happen soon.
ReplyDeleteThere isn't enough data to support the theory, but it's just a theory. We never said it must be what happens.
ReplyDeleteYes, adding it to my favorites list alongside "Splinter" and "The Keys".
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for heartbreaking scenes so if she doesn't actually die in the end I'm good.
ReplyDeleteyeah me too, i don't like using the term "destiny" here because it' tragic and unchangeable but maybe Cole and Cassie are destined to be together
ReplyDeleteyeah it's amazing, mine's the same as yours LOL
ReplyDeleteThe doctor lady is nuts they had a cure but she doesn't want a cure she wants to bring her daughter back to life. Einstein with his math say's yes time travel is possible but would you really want to go back in time and change something? Thinking about it sound like yes. ReplyDeletehuh, deep very deep LOL
ReplyDeletedid you notice Cassie's hair?
ReplyDeleteYeah, like in the move "The Time Machine " he tells himself I can come back a thousand times and she will die a thousand different ways and in the end he learns that she doesn't belong in his time anymore because if she doesn't die then he never has a reason to build the time machine in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI kept waiting for Cole to tell Ramse to back off and remind him that he wanted him to take on the mission.
ReplyDeletewhat if he takes her with him to the future?
ReplyDeleteoh throw everything back in his face?
ReplyDeleteTrue You can't change the past
ReplyDeleteIt was certainly implied at how she looked and talked to him. Cassie was never meant to be immune we all knew this is about when she was going to die but Cole can fix it I'm just curious what will happen if they do fix the virus but I also know that something bigger will happen than the virus.
ReplyDeleteAnd Chuck and Sarah wasn't tragic? Especially the final season.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that Cole dies before Cassie and that's kind of what she meant of not wanting to be alone.
ReplyDeleteLike you said it's like Castle at least a little bit because even on that show it means a lot more when she says his first name so it looks like they get a lot closer I just wonder what happened to Aaron not that I'm complaining about not seeing him.
ReplyDeleteI just think it was part of the loop I don't know how time made the scratch go away but it was supposed to do that so Cole can show Cassie he's not crazy.
ReplyDeleteyeah but you know she was getting her memories back that's tragic either way but THIS one: this is the definition of tragic
ReplyDeleteThat's episode 11 where we see Leland with the Amell wig. Okay, it's not as bad as that but I mean it's close.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know she was it ended so badly I didn't like it. You know they can't kill off Cole or Cassie they already killed her twice now and Cole I have a feeling he died probably from traveling through time and the note Cassie gave Cole is to save his life somehow maybe he'll be able to travel through time without the machine? ReplyDeleteyeah that's true and i DO get chills whenever she calls him"Rick" and yeah i don't hate Aaron i just don't want him with Cassie but i hope he didn't die
ReplyDeleteand i think it's pretty much confirmed that Jennifer created The Daughters
ReplyDeletei don't understand the first part of your sentence but yeah it'd be so awesome if he could splinter as many times as he wants. They just can't kill them off AT ALL
ReplyDeleteCouldn't she just take the cure back to the past and inject everyone before the virus is released?
ReplyDeleteI just followed you. Always good to have more fans!
ReplyDeleteAh, yes. That makes sense. And the address that can save his life. There are so many questions to be answered.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I like Aaron, just not with Cassie.
ReplyDeleteCool.
ReplyDeleteI have the feeling we have similar favorite scenes. All those with Cole/Cassie right? :P
ReplyDeleteI can't get enough of them. (And Cole and Ramse's friendship - sigh)
Yes, that white streak. It's only been 2 years so maybe she just had it colored in? Unless having the virus gives you a Rogue effect (X-Men reference).
ReplyDeleteWas their promotional photos I missed?
ReplyDeleteYeah that might not have been very nice for him to do. Things change. Ramsey didn't know much about Jones then.
ReplyDeleteOh no! I don't want to see it. I don't want to see it. (Okay, I need to see it, but still.) Why writers? :(
ReplyDeleteI don't remember who the Daughters are?
ReplyDeletethat is a good one the person she killed had the cure. The smart thing to do would be to use your ideal take the cure back along with a sample of the 2048 strain of the virus so the lab techs at the CDC can manufacture a antivirus To save all 7.5 billion humans who now over populate the planet
ReplyDeletewhat;s the point of these polls? the answer is allways "awsome" for every show, I suppose all the tv shows are awsome!
ReplyDeleteProbably the promo. I don't see him as a villain because he's doing what Jones is doing, except he's playing for his own team.
ReplyDeleteOh so your ideal is to just let eveyrone die because they're overpopulating the planet? I wouldn't watch your show, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteCassie? I always wondered about that as well. It seems that no matter what they do, she still dies, and if they do change the past, then Cole's erased and back to being a child, which means they'll never meet anyway. So the end has to be a comprimise somewhere....
ReplyDeleteIt seems like they're stuck in a loop. Cassie dies, everything starts all over. So maybe the answer is to keep her alive?
ReplyDeleteYeah that's what I thought as well! If Cassie dying reset everything so Cole would find the watch and go back to the past, then maybe keeping Cassie alive may be the answer.
ReplyDeleteCole is always splintering back and forth, in no linear timeline and with odd periods of time in between, so if Cassie and Cole started some sort of romantic relationship it'd be very shaky. How to tell your friends you have a boyfriend but oh he can't come to dinner because I don't know when he'll be around?
ReplyDeleteNo they aren't.
ReplyDeleteI agree so much!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't tell if it was just a cool visual they used for effect or if it actually meant something...
ReplyDeleteAbout not thinking she was ever immune? I want those two to never die they're the leads and I know leads die but please not this show they technically already died enough times I believe from 2017 Cassie she saw Cole die and that's why he's not around so they each died twice for Cole he died in the alternate timeline and now probably because of splintering too much.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's some type of medical treatment to heal what the side effects of splintering is doing to him. I wish Cole knew what the cost was before he started but it's impressive that he's still going even though he knows he's slowly dying.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of like time is a actually character in this show so it's kind of like it's own their side and it was always meant for them to meet.
ReplyDeleteNo it's just based the episode descriptions I read at IGN last month that's how I know and I had some theories about Ramse turning on Cole I just didn't know why if it was true except thinking Elena and Sam were killed because of Jones.
ReplyDeleteI thought Jennifer's scene was so random though, and I almost forgot her about her at this point.
ReplyDeleteThey both have some selfish motives and can't understand each other at this point. Ramse doesn't understand how much Cole has come to care about Cassie, and Cole doesn't understand why Ramse having a son changes things for him.
ReplyDeleteIt is ironic that Ramse's suggestion for Cole to take the mission and too take a chance with Cassie has backfired for him in a way.
Yeah from the promo, he's just doing what he thinks is best. It doesn't make him a villain, I can't see him becoming a bad guy, he just will likely become an enemy of the project.
ReplyDeleteNot always. This is basing it on how good the episode was for the show. Some episodes get more okays and goods and dislikes depending on an episode.
ReplyDeleteAnd this thread is more for discussion of the episode than the poll, really.
That episode was a rollercoaster of emotions... I nearly missed the slow pace of the 108.
ReplyDeleteThree different stories, everything interconnected.
KAITY...
ReplyDeletehey all relationships have their quirks LOL theirs just happen to be time travel ha!
ReplyDeleteif you go to the site, there's a word that she said that's very big in the mytho of 12 Monkeys: "Daughters"
ReplyDeleteAfter being in 2017, seeing what people went through and Cassie dying, I think Cole may be prepared to sacrifice himself now.
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me Cassie doesn't have much close friends or family besides Aaron so problem solved. There won't be any dinners.
ReplyDeleteYeah as ivan said her speech is going to become important.
ReplyDeleteJones keeps saying that Cole was fated to be the one to time travel.
ReplyDeleteyep definitely i NEED Cassie and Cole both ALIVE and TOGETHER LOL and i'm still basically screaming at 12 Monkeys for turning Cole and Ramse's great friendship into basically turning them into arch-enemies ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hate it too because their friendship was one half of the reason I love this show and Ramse gave us a lot of comic relief.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the writers won't make Ramse the enemy for too long.
It's my leading theory right now.
ReplyDeleteEverything means something on this show.
ReplyDeleteis it far-fetched to say that Jennifer created The Daughters?
ReplyDeletewell that's sad LOL
ReplyDeleteI don't think Cassie would ever agree to that, not without saving the world first. And the machine is only meant for one person who needs to take an injection before going through the machine.
ReplyDeleteAfter the sneak peek for the next episode I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that maybe Cole met Jones in the past and that's why she knows it's him? Because he was right if she just said Cole then anyone could be the person Cassie was trying to inform.
ReplyDeletei really really hope not, and wow you're right i've been thinking who the comic relief is on the show and it's mostly Ramse, sure Aaron has funny moments but it's mostly Ramse
ReplyDeleteYeah, but it seems to be the thing with sci-fi characters. And we haven't seen Cassie with any friends since Jeremy died. Even then, he wasn't someone she hung out with.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who Aaron is to her right now. They seem to be stuck between friends and girlfriend/boyfriend since their break-up after Cole's first visit.
Cole can be funny too. But yeah exactly, it's mainly Ramse.
ReplyDeleteCould be.
ReplyDeletewhy not, especially since it seems like they're aligned with the 12 Mon keys
ReplyDeleteNo I mean it's not far-fetched. I think she could have.
ReplyDeleteohh my bad LOL, kind of sucks though doesn't it? i mean i know she's lost whole toolbox in her head but i kind of saw her as an ally
ReplyDeleteyeah like i said, it's sort of Cole, Aaron and Ramse but when i think of something funny that someone on the show said it's mostly Ramse. We get fish-out-of-water moments with Cole but not always and i miss that
ReplyDeleteespecially when they focus on it
ReplyDeleteyeah i guess
ReplyDeletei sort of meant both, the girl in the movie AND Cassie
ReplyDeleteyeah they have haven't they? he's the one that told Cole to take the risk of connecting with her AND to take Jones' deal
ReplyDeletethe sneak peek basically showed him doing everything a villain does, talking like Cole and him weren't even best firends
ReplyDeleteyeah that's exactly what i thought, it's like she's 60 all of a sudden so it's weird
ReplyDeletei think they were hinting at Jennifer creating The Daughters
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely not a natural thing. Not sure why she'd color it like that though.
ReplyDeleteMe too. The funny quotes that come to my mind are usually Ramse's.
ReplyDeleteIDK
ReplyDeleteI know, it was just an hypothetical situation.
ReplyDeleteOf course we wouldn't see Cassie with any friends. After Cole kidnapped her she pretty much isolated herself from everyone.
ReplyDeletethey're herbalists and they also gave Deacon a substance to drug Cole into telling them where the Splinter compound was
ReplyDeleteI think for the movie and tv show this rule would apply.
ReplyDeleteDid they already mentionned that in the series? I don't remember... and if it's a "spoiler" from the movie, don't say anything, I plan on rewatching it when season one is over!
ReplyDeleteno The Time Machine movie LOL not the 12 Monkeys, orry i should've specified
ReplyDeleteno it's not from the movie because apparently in the movie they didn't delve into the future. They mentioned The Daughters when the West 7 wanted to get into the compound and Deacon put a substance on Cole's wound and mentioned that The Daughters gave it to him, it's the episode called "Atari"
ReplyDeleteOh riiight. I didn't get that, that's a great echo then. They still have to explain the red forest too.
ReplyDeleteyeah especially since Cassie mentioned it to "James", it must be a real place, speaking of The Red Forest, i actually forgot about The Witness until Cole mentioned it LOL
ReplyDeleteDid you watch the webisodes? There are some puzzling things in them too.
ReplyDeleteno not really it doesn't really interest me, i just listen to the 12 Monkeys Uncaged Podcast and they explain it so i'm not that lost on the webisodes
ReplyDeleteClearly Jones is so focused on her personal agenda she is not thinking logically.
ReplyDeleteI know Jones has convinced herself all of the murders and terrible things she has done are not really real, do not count, since all will be erased *when* she succeeds.
ReplyDeleteYeah I was just saying it's just not one she'd ever have to worry about.
ReplyDeletePlus as Cole said it leads to a world where people revert to basically being animals, scavenging, etc. How's that really better than the crimes of today? Unless you're into the "let everyone human die so animals can take back the Earth" thing.
ReplyDeleteAh. I haven't watched Atari much compared to other episodes so I forgot. I'm not really that interested in the West 7 plot.
ReplyDeleteHmmm I guess I should check them out. The only one I saw was the doctors partying when they thought it would be their last night. I didn't think the webisodes held important details.
ReplyDeleteI'm doubting that this would be the case, but we can't rule things out with this show.
ReplyDeleteThe only time Cole's been directly hit by the virus so far in the past was when the briefcase was opened in episode 7.
ReplyDeleteAll the ones with the scientists' logs are nice, but don't provide a lot of info. The other ones are pretty confusing, though (the one with Jennifer, and the one featuring the nameless woman affiliated with the Army).
ReplyDeleteNot yet. Another episode with him would be great. With the same actor, I mean. The same character minus 30 years could mean a younger actor. Or a bad wig.
ReplyDeleteit's a cool site
ReplyDeletei forgot to say that Jones shooting Foster wasn't surprising, i saw it coming from a mile
ReplyDeleteThe Paradox in place here is so apparent.
