We have the first traditional pilot order of this pilot season. NBC has given the green light to Warrior, written/executive produced by Traveler creator David DiGilio and exec produced by Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald. The project, from Universal TV, is set in a grounded, contemporary multicultural and sometimes magical milieu where a damaged heroine works undercover with physical and spiritual guidance from a mysterious martial arts master to bring down an international crime lord. The premise makes Warrior a contender for NBC’s Friday genre block anchored by Grimm.

I think I will pass on this one.
ReplyDeleteAnd pilot season has started some time for exhaustion! LOL. And so here for this because the premise sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a good vibe from this, don't know why but somehow I feel this will work. Just think they are trying to keep the main plot hidden till the casting and production and the pick up season.
ReplyDeleteI think this is the most ridiculous plot i've heard ever!
ReplyDeleteIf NBC passes up a second season on Constantine for this I hope it premieres with a .5 rating.
ReplyDeleteI voe for Shannon ( Sabine Laurent / Celeste Dubois - The Originals ) Kane as the 'damaged' crime solving 'warrior'.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the worst log lines I've ever read...
ReplyDeleteexecution is everything , if thats like magic it will work. A good plot with bad execution equals a bad show.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't mutually exclusive. Constantine will be cancelled because it is getting bad ratings.
ReplyDeleteNBC already has Constantine's replace.
ReplyDeleteThis doesn't sound all that good, though.
Which have been improving, and if it manages to go up a little more I think NBC execs would at least have serious discussions about renewing it if they haven't already. It's DVR numbers are pretty good, and steady. Plus creatively it's one of their strongest shows. So. That being said I hope this pilot goes nowhere.
ReplyDeleteYou go girl
ReplyDeleteHa!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds pretty bad.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look good, but not necessarily dire. For one thing, Constantine was now moved to 8pm, if it does well there, they might keep it there and have this new show at 10pm after Grimm. Or they might decide to give Constantine only 13 episodes S2 (I prefer a shorter season) and it'll be a midseason show and not a fall show. So like I said, not great, but Constantine isn't quite dead yet.
ReplyDeleteNot quite sure about the plot but I always like a show with a leading lady
ReplyDeleteWell, let's see how it does 8.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a summary of a Disney Channel Original Movie. I'll pass.
