  1. Thrilling premiere. Chayton Littlestone is a badass with that bow and arrow, and the action scenes are stellar as always. What makes this show so impressive is that aside from the violence, we also get some interesting themes--identity and the past in particular--explored through interesting characters. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

  2. Chayton is going to be hard to stop this season I think, he didn't even break a sweat during the heist. Great scene, only lasted 2 minutes but I'm sure it took a few days to film in order to look so effortless. I love the bow and arrow addition too, seems right that he would be using it.

  3. Cracking start to the season I thought. Carrie's struggle is interesting, her life is hardly where she saw herself being. Gordon rescued her last time she was a waitress, what will happen this time round. Will she be able to stick with it, or will the call of the carefree lifestyle of Ana be too strong?

Hood's face when he saw the money, it was like all his Christmas' came at once, haha. I'm looking forward to seeing if/how they manage to pull that one off, seems to be a bit of an impossible task if you ask me!

  4. A lot of great stuff happend in this episode: Nola is back, Indians starts a war against the military, Deva join the family business, Siobhan and Hood are still together. I love this show.

  5. So much fun as usual.. I missed this show!

There were a lot of great moments and scenes, but I think Job was once again the scene-stealer of the episode! His snarky delivery of lines jumps out at the viewer, but somehow he even manages to make quiet reflection seem almost noisy as he struggles with whether or not to take the new job! XD

I was happy to see Nola return! Her appetite for destruction fits into the show and this season's plots so nicely! With Hood so busy dealing with "Just Chayton" and the heist, she will be making mayhem in Kai's business I'm sure!

One of the highlights of the night for me was Hood giving Deva fatherly advise about being a criminal! Maybe a little ironic or tragic at its root, but so appropriate to the story and characters that it ended up being a touching moment!

  6. Chayton is a force of nature!

Aside from fitting the Thunder Man persona better than Longshadow ever did - both in physical and spiritual form - he also is a chaotic wreckingball on feet!

We know he won't kill other Kinaho, but how will he react to the new deputy? XD

As if living up to Emmett's very big shoes is not enough he may also have to deal with Chayton's wrath later. Yikes!

  8. Oh yeah, the Colonel relationship...well fuck buddy really, considering the way she just walked out on him afterwards XD That's gonna make life tricky, he's not one to mess about with I'd imagine!

  9. YAY!! Finally watched it. Awesome premiere.

I love this show. This show is batshit crazy and completely unapologetic about it - Case in point - gloriously naked Rebecca rising beside Proctor on his bed and looking at Burton. It's like the show is making a visual statement. See? This is Banshee. Fucking deal with it.

Speaking of Rebecca - so great to see her go over to the dark side - both on the criminal front and her taboo sexual relationship with Proctor. The way she checked out the bound and injured man and then laughed in his face was chilling. But she hasn't completely gone over. Chayton's personal warning rattled her to the core. I am interested in seeing how she copes with the threats moving forward.

Kai - not featured that prominently but I love how he trades sass with Lucas. I wonder were the writers are going with the meetings that he is having with his mother.

We didn't get to see Burton torture the guy :( ........but at least we see him remove his glasses. :)

So Carrie is still thieving. There's no way she doesn't end up being a part of Hood's audacious plan to rob the base.

Quick Question: The man Carrie is having sex with, in the opening scenes, is he the same Colonel Stowe from Camp Genoa? I think so. Correct me if I am wrong.

Looking forward to where all the side stories go - Brock and his ex wife, Deva and Gordon, new Deputy, Raven. I know that these aren't the central focus but I like all the characters on the show, so I am happy with these side plots.

Very happy to see Nola in the final scene. I love her character and I hope she continues to be a part of the show.

Lastly, the most magnificent part of the premiere? Chayton, who else? Honestly speaking, he terrifies me. He is brawn and brains put together. He is the Banshee version of Bane.

  12. It's much more than just a nature vs nurture storyline. I enjoy all aspects of that complicated family dynamic!

Agreed. It's all very twisted twisted and I feel for all the characters involved. Especially Carrie and Gordon with a little bit more sympathy for Gordon. After all, he has treated Deva as his own and did good by her. It's not so easy as a cliche story where he is an evil douche and the real father (Hood) comes along at a conveniently good time to rescue Deva.

  13. I love the way he says "I hate you" all the while meaning the opposite.

  14. Rebecca's journey has been a fascinating one over the series so far. She's toughened up in some respects, but like you say she is still very vulnerable in others ways - I do love the stylised edits we get which show inner emotions/thoughts in situations like her with Chayton. In many ways she is still the weak link in the family business, even after her killing of Longshadow last season was pretty much down to pure luck really, that was one hell of a messy fight!

Yep, the guy Carrie was will is the Colonel from Camp Genoa, which should make things interesting if she does join the team in the planned heist on the base.

I personally dont feel as bad for Gordon as everyone else seems to. Yes his world has been turned upside down but he was the one who chose to go the extra bit further & completely destroy it. He obviously wouldn't leave it alone when Carrie/Anna wouldn't tell him about Lucas, he chose to not understand that those secrets are not hers to be telling. As for Gordon pretty much begging Lucas to stay away from Deva, I was just like "c'mon seriously? Like that's gonna happen". I totally agree with Sandi, Lucas seems far better equiped to handle Deva right now than Gordon. I adore how well the character is written, she really is this tiny sassy combination of Lucas & Anna.
