Minority Report - Receives Pilot Order from FOX

One of the highest profile pitches this season, Minority Report, continues to sail through the development season with an early pilot order. Fox has given the green light to the project, from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and Godzilla writer Max Borenstein, which the network bought preemptively in September with a big put pilot commitment that had a $1 million penalty attached.

Minority Report hails from 20th TV and Paramount TV, whose feature siblings produced the Tom Cruise-starring film. The series is envisioned as a sequel to the movie. It is set 10 years after the end of Precrime in DC. One of the three Precogs struggles to lead a “normal” human life, but remains haunted by visions of the future, when he meets a detective haunted by her past who just may help him find a purpose to his gift. Borenstein and Falls executive produce with Amblin TV’s Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. Spielberg was involved in developing the series take.

  18. Well, with Glee ending and Red Band Society having been cancelled, couldn't Minority Report take the place of these two in next years schedule? Or even The Following, the new season looks decent, but that show has been a mess for a while, so I would not be against them getting rid of that to make way for this. Don't see why Sleepy Hollow would be in danger. Plus they may even make it a limited episode order, like a few of their other shows.
