Cupid, I didn´t like that story at all. Ray doesn´t bother me, at least his acting is good enough. I see all the hate for Chase, but I don´t feel like I can judge him yet. I feel like there is more to know about his character and for right now he is just a insignificant character to me.
It has nothing to do with Olicity. It's because he is creepy and a stalker and pushy and has no boundaries whatsoever, these are the general reasons, and the personal reason is not Olicity it's that he stole Oliver's company and changed the name (the new logo is stupid by the way I don't understand why they were very impressed by it).
Most of these are too minor for me to feel anything. I don't particularly love the Hong Kong flashbacks but I don't have an individual problem with the characters either. Ray Palmer I still enjoy learning more about and I like Ted. Everyone hates the DJ and while he doesn't come across as likable, I don't care about him enough to dislike him. Ra is awesome so definitely no.
Okay here is my beef with Ray Palmer. As a character I don't specifically dislike him but I feel he was brought in for one purpose and one purpose only, to inject an unnecessary love triangle into the show. I actually like the actor and in general like the character but he's really only serving that purpose. Maybe if he interacted with more characters I would feel differently. I sort of feel like at a certain point he'll be conveniently written out when they inevitably get Felicity and Oliver together. He'll no longer be necessary since he'll have served his purpose. It's a bummer. I don't like Felicity and Ray's flirtation for the sole reason it seems forced and unnecessary. He's a fun character but we're trapped in that one situation instead of seeing him interact with the world as a whole (like Ted Grant).
The first time he entered the room it was a gut feeling. Too friendly, too enthusiastic, too... I don't know... just a gut feeling. Now that we saw a bit more of him it didn't change. I may be wrong, but he has to do a lot to make me change my mind about him.
DJ - just because we've only seen him as a dbag/Roy Part II. Ray Palmer has been a great addition to the show - keeping Queen Consolidated alive (in a different form), giving Felicity something different to do, etc.. Compared to S2's takeover artist (and I won't mention her or her character's name), this is a huge improvement.
Am I missing something on this DJ? I only remember like a 30 sec or so scene. Anyway, I don't dislike any of them. From this poll though, it appears I shouldn't like DJ. Maybe if I remembered him, I would.
I know what you mean he feels off and too much sometimes. Like you can praise him all you want and make Felicity say speeches about what a wonderful human being he is, but it doesn't make me like him actually quite the opposite it turns me off because I feel like you are pushing him down our throats. Plus his actions are not helping at all.
DJ Moron... Just because his screen time was one of them ost empty storylines ever on Arrow. He wasted screentime that could be used for Laurel and Ted training, Malcolm and Thea or even some Roy and Thea(I miss those two, who i think will become the focal romantic point of the show on Season 4).
I like Ray Palmer and his awkwardness. Not just because he will become The Atom or because there's a LOT of untold story there to make a third show, but because it gave Felicity something else to do beside been in the Arrow Cave or being Oliver's love interest.
The way it's been planned, i think they are using Palmer chosing Felicity as VP for when Oliver makes The Queen Foundation or they take Queen Industries back: Felicity will become CEO alongside Oliver, and there will be some background for that. Can you imagine if Felicity would come out of nowhere on Season 4 to run the company? That would've been awful.
She is the only character kind of prepared to be on that position now that Walter is gone. They could hire Laurel as the company's lawyer and Digg as Felicity's personal bodyguard as a front too.
I agree with you on the stalker part 100%. He does push boundaries and it can come off as creepy. However, I wholeheartedly disagree with what you said about Oliver's company. He didn't steal it. He placed a bid for it and won fairly. He was clearly the better man. He had vision and a coherent plan for the company. Oliver just wanted it because it belonged to his family. Honestly, do you think Oliver deserves his company? He hasn't done a single thing for it since the show started. Not only that but Ray is 1000x times smarter than Oliver.
I predict that the CW will spin Ray Palmer off into his own show "The Atom" ... and ... he'll end up taking Felicity Smoak with him ( its either that or killer her character off in the future as their will end up needing to be no obstacles keeping Oliver/Arrow and Laurel/Black Canary apart ) next season or the season after that.
Brandon Routh's Ray will be the new shows male lead of course well Emily Bett Rickards's Felicity will be the shows female lead, Ray's computer expert/partner in crime, as well as his love interest .
The thing keeping Oliver and Laurel apart always was bad character concept design and bad writing.
I read comics, i always liked Green Arrow... They have no need to do a relationship between Oliver and Laurel if they don't want to. This isn't a comic, this is a tv show.
You have comics, movies, tv shows and all of them do their own take on the universe. Most of the people that read comics don't care about that(especially since it was already done with Oliver and Sara). You ask me? Well, i have more problems with Oliver not being Oliver, for example... I think that is a worst problem. Or the fact that Ray Palmer actually is Ted Kord. Or that Laurel is no Dinah.
There's no freaking way Felicity is gonna go with The Atom xD Dying? Perhaps... I don't know. But she will remain on Arrow.
I would love an Atom show, but i would love to see him team up with Berlanti's take on Stargirl! :D
The writers struck gold with Felicity and they know that, there's no way they can write her off unless EBR wants to leave the show and move on to doing movies or something, but I don't think she will leave for another show not even Flash.
That is something people who don't read comics say, imho. When you have Oliver Queen ot being Oliver Queen, then every other change is just soooo minor(especially a romantic relationship).
People like that also may claim The Dark Knight is the best superheroe movie EVER. For me it is, but that doesn't change that Nolan's universe striped Batman of everything comicbooky.
The show has its own universe, sure it uses the comics as a guideline but that's it. It doesn't stick to it, they always say that they are telling THEIR GA story, so in their story GA and BC are just exes and friends and in the future they will be crime fighting partners, that's it. There's too much baggage for them to get over (and they should never get over it) and get back together.
Chase by a landslide, but that would all change if Chase turns out to be Joe Wilson....then even his lousy appearance in "Draw Back Your Bow" would make much more sense.
Honestly, this is my best guess as well as Brandon Routh has done an amazing job as Ray Palmer to the point where I already want a spin-off centered on Atom.
Well, I wouldn't called it a magnetic charm. He rubbed off the wrong way towards Thea early in the episode, but almost charmed her pants off again at the end of the episode, so it's mostly just a charm than anything.
I see Slade Wilson have used that mind-controlling drug on Joe during S2 and the plan is in play right now while Slade is in that prison.
How is Ra's so (relatively) high? He's badass, they got the whole paternal murderer vibe down, he's interesting and dude's over half a millennia old (which is just cool to me). And Matt Nable was great in The Climb. Chase though, sucks so much.
I can only understand that people dislike Ray as much as they do because of his association with Felicity. Honestly, he's a good character with lots to contribute in future.
I like him... For me he just has poor social skills and doesn't know boundaries. But some people see him GPS tracking Felicity, telling her what dress to wear, etc kind of stalkerish or controlling.
Idk, like i said, for me he is just an awkward person...
No hate. I think it's more about the fact that he's a bit impalpable, at least for me. He says he want's to save the city, but... does he really want? We'll have to wait and see.
Felicity hacks everything and steals data literally all the time but nobody bats an eye. I just think it's somewhat hypocritical for people to be mad at Ray for doing the same and taking the company when he did it for a good reason (just like Oliver/Felicity do to protect the city and get information on criminals). Especially since Oliver was doing nothing with it. Just because it belongs to his family doesn't mean he deserves it. He's showed no interest in the company whatsoever, treated his mother like crap, consistently lies to Thea, hasn't even mentioned Malcolm since Moira died. There isn't one reason why he should have it. As far as Ray being arrogant, I think he has the right to show off a little. I mean he's not displaying any characteristics that Oliver hasn't shown...yet again people don't bat an eye when Oliver behaves like a jerk.
It's sad though, cuz I personally like Ray...I think he adds a new dynamic to the show. Sure he's a bit...strange...but he reminds me of a Felicity and Oliver's love child...quirky and techy like Felicity with all the charm and wit (plus billionaire playboyness) of Oliver Queen.
Felicity hacks everything to catch criminals not for her personal gain as for Ray he has enough qualifications to win the company without hacking into the company and stealing its data he did it to make Oliver look bad, just like when he said "these numbers show QC's performance under Mr Queen's management, I'm using that term extremely loosely BTW" what was that about? was it really necessary? Do you have to insult the competition to make yourself look good? And saying that he came in a helicopter was like "fine we get it you are rich". I agree that Oliver wasn't giving his full attention to the company last season and he admitted that in "The Calm" but we have to remember that he has no business experience and he didn't finish college and he had A LOT on his plate so let's cut him some slack. He only began treating Moira horribly after he found out about Malcolm, sure he over reacted and was being a little hypocritical but there was a good reason for that. I don't like that he had to lie to Thea a lot, he did that because he was trying to protect her, maybe he was wrong but his motivations were good, he didn't do it because he is an awful person. Why would he mention Malcolm at all?????? He was dead! And does any of this have anything to do with him not deserving to get the company? No, he doesn't have the right to show off. I hate when people show off, it's an unsavory character trait. It's why I was mad at Barry for few episodes. Really??? People criticize Oliver all the time, I do that myself a lot.
There is no way they put the character Felicity in another show, no way. But i think there is a possibility to kill her at some point (because it would shock everyone ) , however if they kill Felicity that would happen in the last episodes of the show(i predict) because if it would happen sooner people would go crazy.
Since I didn't see episode 6, I went with Ray Palmer. Being socially awkward does not excuse his actions in my opinion. He's not creepy, but he's crossed the line way too many times to be rewarded. Sorry :/ And I know Ray is going to become the Atom, but I still don't trust Ray for some reason. I think it's because Daniel Shaw forever ruined Brandon Routh for me :p
Don't forget he got that dress as a way to bribe Felicity into going on a 'work date' with him... And he does all this as her boss which makes it worse IMO :/ Like I said before, being socially awkward does not give you a free pass on crossing the line. Pretty sure if Ray wasn't good looking/ charming he would be getting a restraining order by now.
And he did all that after he was working out shirtless at his place of work and he didn't even put a shirt on after Felicity came to the office. Like you said people ignored that scene because you know "oh yeah a cute shirtless guy" but for I thought that scene was offensive on so many levels and if a situation like that happened in real life he should've been be reported.
That man is cursed lol for the second time he comes in a show's third season to be an obstacle between the show's main couple, his character is shady and unlikable, the woman he loves was killed and he is supposed to be a hero but people are not buying it. No disrespect to BR I'm sure he is a nice guy but I'm not a fan of his acting, his face is too wooden and he gets this crazy look in his eyes that really weirds me out.
Shit, I voted for Maseo by mistake. I though the poll was for favorite new character. The LEAST favorite is definitely Chase the DJ! What the hell was that?
Probably. But I'm Olicity and I love Ray anyway. He's great comedy relief and who can blame him for liking Felicity? Seriously, anyone would! Isn't that the point of wanting Oliver to fall in love with her for the last 2 seasons? Because he'd be stupid not to go for the amazing, smart, quirky, funny, sexy girl he fights crime with every night. Why wouldn't Ray go for it? They are both single.
I don't completely see the love triangle or rivalry for Felicirt's affections at all. She has no interest in Palmer at all romantically. But I have to disagree furthermore, the writers have brought in his fiancee's death, his motive and means to be a hero. They will explore that. Palmer is not just a love interest. He's another superhero to be. And I look forward to his journey whether it be seen here, The Flash or both.
Hey...I like Ray Palmer! He's genuine, sincere & always tries to lighten the mood with a joke. Plus he wants to save Starling City too, though at this point I am stupefied as to why anybody wants to save this stupid city. P.S. He is freaking Superman afterall..and I prefer his version to Henry Cavill's.
Well to fair Cupid is based on the comic character. But she really isn't that Harley Quinn -esque. Besides the obsession of course. Hell she lacks Quinn more sympathetic tendencies, her surprising humanity at times, and her odd sense of innocence. I get why you didn't like her though.
I would say Douche DJ & Ray are almost at the same level for me. But some people have been too willing to overlook Rays problematic (read creepy stalking) behavior just because he is supposed to be The Atom. So basically because comics. And yes Rays crazy eyes scare me.
From what I understand, many people didn't like her even in the comics. Just like Seth Gabel's Vertigo, I felt like Cupid was way OTT and 'comic-like' in a show trying to be more serious, the whole tone didn't work. And while I felt Gabel was doing a Joker-Scarecrow impersonation, I guess for me Cupid felt Harley-lite, her more annoying traits and not her positive ones.
OK, I'll blame the producers for ruining a comic book Royalty character and making him a Scarecrow knockoff. I'm still bitter about that and about a new count still not getting it right. How hard is it to be a Count from a made up country and a device to give you sonic powers? How hard, show?
You have a funny idea of stole. He bought queen consolidated fair and square. Oliver was bankrupt. He will be a much more interesting character once they finally put him in the atom suit and give him something to do.
I'm going to join everyone over at the D.J. Douche table. He was my only vote.
Not too fond of Cupid, though, and while Ra's al Ghul hasn't had much screen time yet, I'm not thrilled with the casting choice. To me, he doesn't give off the sense of power and menace I expect from the character (I have the same problem with Cynthia Addai-Robinson a.k.a. Amanda Waller). In addition, I realize the race of a character can be changed, but with a name like that it's rather distracting when the actor can't pass off as Arabic/Mediterranean. Still wish they'd cast Oded Fehr, who looks the part and voiced Ra's in Young Justice.
True. Yeah Seth Gabel a like him, but his Vertigo too bad Joker-esque. His appearance in season two was better, but I really prefer the Werner Zytle Vertigo.
I liked Red Lincoln, Blue Lincoln not so much (Fringe) but he's doing fine on Salem, so I don't mind him. I don't like either Vertigos, because neither of them are close to the Comic character, they might as well give their version a different name. But if I had to choose between them? Zytle, for sure.
Well I've only ever actually seen him on Fringe so can't talk about Salem. Though technically he was only blue Lincoln for one ep, the rest he was gold Lincoln (but I get you're saying, I liked both, but red was cooler). Is Zytle at all like the New 52 one of the same name?
Well he is now at least base off the Werner Zytle one so it's a little better maybe. Plus in early season one they were still really committed to the whole realism and grounded aspect which thankfully they have moved away from in some aspects.
Blue/Gold Lincoln was boring and showed that Seth is a bit of a limited actor- he thrived when he played Red Lincoln, but Blue/Gold one was just so bland and the fact that he got to live and then "win" the prize and get Red!Olivia just pissed me off, because it was so predictable.
I'm not familiar with New 52 anything, I mostly know Count Vertigo from Young Justice and the bit I read up on him. I'm scared to sample anything from New 52, the way everyone hates on the reboot.
Whatever, I'll live with my disappointment. I need them to move further away from realism and let Laurel either have her Canary Cry (maybe she can go visit her mom in Central City and get caught up in something) or a device like her sis used.
I'd really like the canary cry but I don't need it. She didn't have it for a bit in the comics, plus this is the Arrow telling of Green Arrow so I can live with changes like that. But yeah I'd love her just happening by Central City and getting it. Who knows? What with Guggenheim's change of heart regarding superpowers she just might at some point.
I think with Laurel starting her vigilante journey so late, that having the Canary Cry or at least her sister's device would give her an advantage, until she becomes the expert martial artists she's meant to be. Especially with the writers talking about how Laurel will be the worst fighter right now and will fail and get hurt- that's nice and realistic, but I don't just want to see Laurel fail, I want to see her succeed as well, you know? It's definitely not something I'll lose sleep over if she doesn't get it, it's not a deal breaker, but it's be really cool and a great story line for her to try and figure out how to deal with it/having the Arrow world dealing with one of their superheroes having a power. We'll see, I guess.
Yeah Bats has been my favourite for a long time. The main problem I've heard with Batman, is that in the span of six years that superheroes like Batman have existed in the New 52 timeline, he's trained four male Robins. Though I find the regaining of the use of her legs by Barbara to be interesting. Don't actually know since everything I've read predates the New 52.
honestly they have to give Laurel the Canary Cry, they have to deal with the fact that The Black Canary is a superheroine with a superpower and there's no way around it this time no matter how much they try to ignore it
Yeah, I heard that they also erased characters' histories in order to fit into this ridiculous six year span. I'm not sure how to feel about Barbara who got her legs back, but I guess I'd have to read it to see how I feel about it. Dick's my favorite character, but I do love the Bat-family and their dynamics.
I dislike the DJ the most, but Ray freaks me out a little. I want to like him, because I think conceptually he's a cool character and Felicity deserves a romantic interest that isn't dating/in love with someone else for a second, but dude is real stalker-y and has crazy eyes. He needs to tone it down a little. Maybe stop pinging Felicity's cell phone, no more ridiculously priced gifts, and get the eye thing under control. I liked Brandon Routh a lot on Chuck ... although on that show, he did turn out to actually be crazy. So.
Sara had the sonic device. They might just give her that. And you are mixing up Black Canary in the comics with the one on the shows. Guggenheim doesnt even want to use the word hero where describing Laurel because she hasnt earned that. So no she isnt a superhero at all at this point.
Yeah, i think they will take Olicity's place as the will "they/won't they angst" on Season 4... Since probably Olicity will be an actual couple on Season 4 so they can develop a more open Oliver(I would love having a more comicbooky version of Oliver, tbh... and the nearer we got was on 3x01 and some scenes of the crossover with Barry("You're wrong to... When you said you can kick my ass")
Tricky, tricky. I vacillated on DJ Douche, horrid portrayal of women with lame lines Cupid, and irrational how dare you kill my hero Ra's...but I went with the "new" Count Vertigo. I simply can't get behind a villain who only got near the top of the ranks because Team Arrow took out all the better villains, and even when he got there had two terrible plans: revive vertigo (like I wanted to see that any way, but adding a kick that will nullify its use as a recreational drug is just asinine) and kill the Arrow. How lazy of a bad guy do you have to be to take someone else's name and idea and follow up it up with a crap plan? Terrible, just terrible. No more vertigo, find a new plot. Alas, it is coming back--so I picked the "new Count."
She wasn't upset that she stopped kissing him. She was upset that he kissed her and thus avoided him. Ray said that, Felicity never once affirmed such a thing. She's still really into Oliver.
either you missed that part where Felicity was finishing Palmer's thoughts which were wrong and the talk at Verdant where she thought he regretted the kiss and was completely wrong (by the way i really like that new part of Verdant, didn't really get into Buffy, i got more into Angel, but it reminds me of the table they were always going to) and you can't deny she's falling for him, just like i can't deny that she's still has feeling for Oliver
well Arrow does need more levity and they also need someone for Felicity to bounce off of and he can funny but also serious otherwise it would be too gloom and doom
that is true The Black Canary IS one of the best fighters, if not THE best, in comic history and in all honesty Sara fit that bill to a T and Laurel is nowhere near that but i still need this show to realize that they're in a comic-book world, being grounded is fine but at some point they can't keep coming up with ways for superpowers to be tech or personalities or drugs, most of the heroes and villains in DC have powers and they need to embrace that, tell me you at least agree with that
my sister doesn't like him JUST because he was Daniel Shaw and almost destroyed Chuck and Sarah, but i don't think that's a good excuse, he's still a great actor and shouldn't be discriminiated for that
That doesn't mean she's falling for him at the moment. She might in future episodes, but for now there's really nothing concretely saying that. Even if she was, Oliver's declaration of love really kills it for now.
True, but honestly if they ever do get rid of Bruce (which I hope never happens) Dick is the one who could become Batman and truly make it his own and be a more inspiring hero. Though yeah he probably shouldn't.
LOL, they're never getting rid of Bruce. Dick would be the best choice to replace him and he'd do a good job, but for his own sake, he shouldn't. Nightwing is an identity he carved for himself, it allows him more freedom and independence. With Batman he'll always be trying to live up to Bruce, even if he goes about it his own way, it's a burden I don't want him to have.
Not with a show whose focus is Oliver Queen and his path to the Green Arrow, who as things stand has no super powers. He worked his body to a point where it can be used as a weapon. I mean Roy was pumped with Mirakiru and even though he got the strength he wasnt much of a fighter, (but Mirakiru was used as an enhanced drugs similar to steroids, so they can use science excuse), Sara got kick-ass due to her time with the League and she built her own devices just like Oliver with his trick arrows, Diggle got bad-ass through his military training. All they basically stayed in the grounded territory with them. And if they gonna use the superpower angle just for Laurel, now thats gonna feel like pandering to the comic book fanboys. On the Flash it wouldnt be so obvious, since Central City seems to be full of meta-humans, but these powers also have some serious side-effects. So i dont think it would be that easy even if she got the Cry and i dont trust the writers to really dig into the consequences.
I have a problem with how the writers use the DC characters as the shiny new toys & completely ignore character development. I rather have more focus on that, than the easter eggs, because it just takes away from the story. But since the EPs think the only reason Laurel wasnt working was because she didnt know Olivers secret & wasnt BC, i dont have that much faith in handling the DC properties.
Now i keep wondering if the fact that Laurel suits up and starts using the Canary name means that it will be brought to Ras and Nyssas attention. And they will step up and visit Starling once again.
if they give Laurel The Cry i would trust that they could handle it right and i guess i knew what i was getting into when i decided to watch Arrow, don't get me wrong i still love it completely but i don't think that thought will ever leave me, geez if Ra's and Nyssa do that it would be adding salt to the wound, i mean haven't they caused enough damage they just killed Oliver and Thea just lost her brother for the second time, i mean we all know he's not dead but when she hears the news she'll think she lost him again and i don't want that for her
Well i think if there was a mention of a blonde girl appearing in Starling who fights criminals and calls herself Canary and wears a costume similar to Saras they would want to investigate. The reason why i dont have faith in them handling it, its because what i got to see from Laurels addiction storyline. Some stuff was just buried under a rug and it was especially jarring with the cop being killed. Even if they say it was self-defense, emptying an entire magazine run into a cop should at least been adressed. Taking a life always leaves a mark but apparently not in that case. And then we had Laurel almost emptying bullets in Komodo this season also because she believed him to be Saras killer.
True without Bruce it would be a sad day. Agreed, Dick is an excellent hero as Nightwing and shouldn't do so (not that I would' t mind if it was a temporary thing like last time if need be, though I feel Tim could also fill in if it was needed- but again only if temporary). Though I do feel he shouldn't feel said burden as he's pretty much (this is kinda messed) Bruce's favourite and has more than lived up to Bruce as a hero.
I just can't imagine a world without Bruce Wayne in it, baring any temporary death. If it's temporary, I don't mind Dick stepping in. Give Tim a few more years and I'm sure he'd do a good job as well, he's a bit of a mini-Bruce as is (erm, dunno about reboot!Tim and what he's like nowadays). Yeah, Dick is a bit the golden son and while I definitely think he's lived up to being a hero just as much as Bruce (if not more so), I feel like on some level it would always weigh on him, he'd always compare his Batman to Bruce's and I don't want that for Dick. He's earned the right to be his own hero, more than any other former sidekick. I just love my messed up Bat family so much, LOL.
Me too, I only discovered the shows because of the Nostalgia Critic's Vlogs while watching them, so my brother and I watched along and we both love the shows. I even got an Appa plushie, which is beyond adorable and fluffy.
Sure it's not a good reason to not like him. Good thing I have other reasons why I don't like him. The ghost of Daniel Shaw is just the cherry on top of a shifty sundae.
Ray Palmer. Because he is not bringing anything fresh to this third season. He has the company of Oliver, he seems like a stalker... And I don't understand why there has to be another hero to save the city, when the protagonist of this show is Oliver Queen and he is the hero. And I start to get bored of having to see the beginnings of so many heroes.
Chase. He didn't bring anything new or good to the show too. His character and his acting is ridiculous. I would not mind not seeing him again. It's such a fictional character that he does not work even in a show of comics.
He also hacked into QC to gain access to data that would help him protect the city and build the atom suit. Not personal gain 100%. As for the helicopter comment,..he was about to go into a meeting with a group of millionaires to make a bid on a company. He needed to demonstrate a little bit of confidence. Plus Oliver shows off all the time....again double standards. Actually yes, the way he treated Moira and Thea demonstrate how he really continuously makes bad decisions when it comes to his family (which is why he shouldn't be running the family company). I wrote "hasn't mentioned Malcolm since Moira died" by accident. I meant to write Walter. He couldn't care less about Walter and I find that infuriating. Honestly, I feel like Oliver needs some major character revision. I'm glad Ra's beat him senselessly.
LOL, yeah, we saw he had a review for 'The Last Airbender', after he marathoned the show, so we marathoned the show and saw the movie, before watching the review. The movie was terrible, but there were some moments that were so bad they were hilarious, especially Commander Zhao, who had some really WTF lines.
hmm yeah they haven't handled Laurel very well have they? maybe you're right, which is weird since she's the female lead(which at this point Felicity's the female lead isn't she?)
well it would kind of make her more mad at Oliver because i don't think he actually thought as much as he said it that he would be able to beat Ra's so he kind of said it to make her feel good not so worried for him when he knew he would walking to his "death" and make her get closer to Palmer
He said it because that's how he feels, and given he's about to face one of the world's greatest killers he just wanted to express how he feels in case he dies. I don't think Palmer had anything to do with it though. Yes he saw their kiss, but it just seems like he wanted her to know in case we'll he lol got stabbed and kicked off a cliff. Can't wait to see Felicity's, Diggle's, Roy's and Laurel's reactions in Left Behind.
Apparently you can, start by white-washing everyone with poor actors, changing their personalities to really bland, change story lines and try and condense a whole season into an hour and a half movie. Walla.
do you think, i mean with all that's going that they'll actually have baddies-of-the-week, i know Count Vertigo's returning and Roy's stepping up as the Archer protector of Starling during Olver's absence but it would seem like they would be moving on like when Sara... and they still went and fought them, it still doesn't feel right the way handled Sara's... i still say she deserved better
I liked Sara (knew she would die though), but honestly I don't feel there is any better way. It's character death, it'll always suck. Her death means something, they mourned her, she even got a burial in a sense. With characters that's all I ask, hers, Tommy's, Moira's, and Oliver's (temporary) death all have meaning to the characters. Oliver's will be similar, it'll damn near break these characters (except even more, well besides Laurel) and push them to be better. Whether it be Roy and Diggle sand Felicity continuing Oliver's crusade (even though the next three episodes are mainly about Laurel and Sara so you'll probably get more closure over her death), or Laurel becoming Black Canary in her honour they all mean something. Personally that's enough for me. They have to move on, it's what Oliver would want.
it would be wouldn't, plus i should've known i was getting into when i got invested in Sara where i knew Laurel is the Black Canary and the superheroine was never a mantle i just wish the city would know The Canary helped save the city from The Siege but i hope you're right
I'd say Zuko's whole story line (in the show) is one of the best redemption arcs I've seen period, not just in a cartoon, he's one of my absolute favorite characters because of how complex he is. The less we talk of what Shyamalan and what he did to Avatar, the better.
This was too easy. The DJ gave us nothing in his 1 & only appearance so far to win us over. MAYBE after a 2nd or 3rd appearance I'll have a better read on him, but so far hes just a cocky punk that I would be thrilled if he got taken down by someone to advance a storyline/plot.
Tales of Ba Sing Se so many feels. I miss Iroh. I loved that episode where hero gets mugged, and he characteristically offers his sage wisdom and advice to the mugger, giving him confidence to do what he wants to. Not to mention even correct his mugging stance. Lol. Yeah Zuzu's betrayal saddened me, but I loved how in the beach episode he began to feel guilty and strove for redemption by finally turning on his father and going Team Avatar. I wish his time with them was longer.
Yup, I loved Iroh giving the mugger tips, LOL. I also really enjoyed the beach episode and liked Zuko/Mai (thank God I wasn't there for shipping wars). I knew spoilers going in, so I knew Zuko would have a redemption arc and I just kept waiting for it to happen- he really didn't spend enough time (for me) with Team Avatar. Haven't read the comics.
LOL, no, I don't quite get Zuko/Katara, but to each their own. I'm really not a shipper, there are ships I can get behind and those I don't like. I enjoyed Zuko/Mai, thought Aang/Katara was a bit weird, but thankfully it was mostly just in the end. I really liked Sokka/Suki as well. For me it's more about dynamics than it is about actual romance and whether two characters I enjoy together actually get together or remain platonic.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Chase. He's more annoying than Laurel. But I know that Ray will likely win this poll.
ReplyDeleteHow on Earth does Ray Palmer have almost as many votes as the freaking DJ.
ReplyDeleteDJ Douchebag.
ReplyDeletejoe wilson
ReplyDeleteWho?
ReplyDeleteAlmost certainly the Olicity shippers.
ReplyDeleteSlade's son. I think people have been saying that the DJ is him, but I could be mistaken about that (it may be another character).
ReplyDeleteMy sister thinks he's a creeper. Maybe other girl thinks that way.
ReplyDeleteyou're wrong, the DJ is leading this poll by far
ReplyDeleteI have to go with Chase and Cupid-it was a disaster.
ReplyDeleteyou don't need to be a olicity shipper to not appreciate Ray.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't wrong when I posted my comment thanks buddy. The DJ was only winning by one vote when I posted my comment.
ReplyDeleteChase followed really closely by creepy stalker Ray.
ReplyDeleteI don't like most people in that list but the DJ is really something else.
ReplyDeleteCupid, I didn´t like that story at all. Ray doesn´t bother me, at least his acting is good enough.
ReplyDeleteI see all the hate for Chase, but I don´t feel like I can judge him yet.
ReplyDeleteDJ!!!
ReplyDeleteI still don't know who/what the hell was that!? Irritating character + unexplainable bad acting.
ReplyDeleteThe DJ. But maybe I'm judging too soon, since we haven't seen that much of him.
ReplyDeleteThe douchey DJ, hands down. Nobody gets me homicidal like he did in his 1 appearance so far.
ReplyDeleteChase followed by Cupid for me too. I don't consider Ray a creepy stalker either.
ReplyDeleteOkay here is my beef with Ray Palmer.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. Some article mentioned it. And I think our comic experts on here share this view, at least some of them.
ReplyDeleteYep, I second that.
ReplyDeleteThe first time he entered the room it was a gut feeling.
ReplyDeleteAm I missing something on this DJ? I only remember like a 30 sec or so scene. Anyway, I don't dislike any of them. From this poll though, it appears I shouldn't like DJ. Maybe if I remembered him, I would.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean he feels off and too much sometimes. Like you can praise him all you want and make Felicity say speeches about what a wonderful human being he is, but it doesn't make me like him actually quite the opposite it turns me off because I feel like you are pushing him down our throats. Plus his actions are not helping at all.
ReplyDeleteDJ Moron... Just because his screen time was one of them ost empty storylines ever on Arrow. He wasted screentime that could be used for Laurel and Ted training, Malcolm and Thea or even some Roy and Thea(I miss those two, who i think will become the focal romantic point of the show on Season 4).
ReplyDeleteI like Ray Palmer and his awkwardness. Not just because he will become The Atom or because there's a LOT of untold story there to make a third show, but because it gave Felicity something else to do beside been in the Arrow Cave or being Oliver's love interest.
ReplyDeleteThe way it's been planned, i think they are using Palmer chosing Felicity as VP for when Oliver makes The Queen Foundation or they take Queen Industries back: Felicity will become CEO alongside Oliver, and there will be some background for that.
He should be a meta-human... Actually is quite posible. They said that the way 3x13 ends makes the return of Slade a MUST.
ReplyDeleteAnd talking about his powers, the show was trying to sell he has this magnetic "charm".
Lol I thought the DJ would win by a lot more. I forgot about the Ray- haters though.
ReplyDeleteAnd oops at my typo lol.
Chase the DJ i just don't like him.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the stalker part 100%.
ReplyDeleteD.J, Who.
ReplyDeleteI predict that the CW will spin Ray Palmer off into his own show "The Atom" ... and ... he'll end up taking Felicity Smoak with him ( its either that or killer her character off in the future as their will end up needing to be no obstacles keeping Oliver/Arrow and Laurel/Black Canary apart ) next season or the season after that.
Brandon Routh's Ray will be the new shows male lead of course well Emily Bett Rickards's Felicity will be the shows female lead, Ray's computer expert/partner in crime, as well as his love interest .
That's right lol I didn't notice until you pointed it out :D
ReplyDeleteThe thing keeping Oliver and Laurel apart always was bad character concept design and bad writing.
ReplyDeleteI read comics, i always liked Green Arrow...
ReplyDeleteThat is something people who don't read comics say, imho. When you have Oliver Queen ot being Oliver Queen, then every other change is just soooo minor(especially a romantic relationship).
ReplyDeletePeople like that also may claim The Dark Knight is the best superheroe movie EVER. For me it is, but that doesn't change that Nolan's universe striped Batman of everything comicbooky.
You just learn to accept the Multiverse...
People STILL think Felicity is just an obstacle? LOL wow.
ReplyDeleteThe show has its own universe, sure it uses the comics as a guideline but that's it. It doesn't stick to it, they always say that they are telling THEIR GA story, so in their story GA and BC are just exes and friends and in the future they will be crime fighting partners, that's it. There's too much baggage for them to get over (and they should never get over it) and get back together.
ReplyDeleteRay Palmer is great! WTF is up with him being in 2nd place on this list. Chase the DJ is indeed horrible. he got my vote.
ReplyDeleteChase by a landslide, but that would all change if Chase turns out to be Joe Wilson....then even his lousy appearance in "Draw Back Your Bow" would make much more sense.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, this is my best guess as well as Brandon Routh has done an amazing job as Ray Palmer to the point where I already want a spin-off centered on Atom.
ReplyDeleteWell, I wouldn't called it a magnetic charm. He rubbed off the wrong way towards Thea early in the episode, but almost charmed her pants off again at the end of the episode, so it's mostly just a charm than anything.
ReplyDeleteI see Slade Wilson have used that mind-controlling drug on Joe during S2 and the plan is in play right now while Slade is in that prison.
How is Ra's so (relatively) high? He's badass, they got the whole paternal murderer vibe down, he's interesting and dude's over half a millennia old (which is just cool to me). And Matt Nable was great in The Climb. Chase though, sucks so much.
ReplyDeleteI doubt it. A lot of people just plain find him creepy, and a dick for taking QC.
ReplyDeleteI can only understand that people dislike Ray as much as they do because of his association with Felicity. Honestly, he's a good character with lots to contribute in future.
ReplyDeleteI like him... For me he just has poor social skills and doesn't know boundaries. But some people see him GPS tracking Felicity, telling her what dress to wear, etc kind of stalkerish or controlling.
ReplyDeleteIdk, like i said, for me he is just an awkward person...
i could not choose between five out of nine wow
ReplyDeleteNo hate. I think it's more about the fact that he's a bit impalpable, at least for me. He says he want's to save the city, but... does he really want? We'll have to wait and see.
ReplyDeleteFelicity hacks everything and steals data literally all the time but nobody bats an eye.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad though, cuz I personally like Ray...I think he adds a new dynamic to the show. Sure he's a bit...strange...but he reminds me of a Felicity and Oliver's love child...quirky and techy like Felicity with all the charm and wit (plus billionaire playboyness) of Oliver Queen.
ReplyDeleteFelicity hacks everything to catch criminals not for her personal gain as for Ray he has enough qualifications to win the company without hacking into the company and stealing its data he did it to make Oliver look bad, just like when he said "these numbers show QC's performance under Mr Queen's management, I'm using that term extremely loosely BTW" what was that about? was it really necessary?
ReplyDeleteNo, he doesn't have the right to show off. I hate when people show off, it's an unsavory character trait. It's why I was mad at Barry for few episodes. Really??? People criticize Oliver all the time, I do that myself a lot.
The Dj!
ReplyDeleteC'mon WTF how is Ray an unpopular character? the guy is kinda stalker but he is a good guy. If any Ted is just as annoying.
they never killed Chloe on Smallville, they will know they are not for each other at some point.
ReplyDeleteI think that is kind of stalkerish and controlling.
ReplyDeletewow, people disliked the new count? How is this even possible? Anyway, i voted tatsu !
ReplyDeletewow that would be unexpected, i like this theory...
ReplyDeleteThere is no way they put the character Felicity in another show, no way. But i think there is a possibility to kill her at some point (because it would shock everyone ) , however if they kill Felicity that would happen in the last episodes of the show(i predict) because if it would happen sooner people would go crazy.
ReplyDeleteI said chase because I only remember seeing him in one episode.
ReplyDelete^This and I hate all characters Brandon Routh plays with a passion. There's just something about him I just don't like.
ReplyDeleteI just had to interject, I especially disliked his character on Chuck, yuck!!! Wooden Superman, an even worse intersect, if you know Chuck!!!
ReplyDeleteSince I didn't see episode 6, I went with Ray Palmer.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget he got that dress as a way to bribe Felicity into going on a 'work date' with him... And he does all this as her boss which makes it worse IMO :/ Like I said before, being socially awkward does not give you a free pass on crossing the line. Pretty sure if Ray wasn't good looking/ charming he would be getting a restraining order by now.
ReplyDeleteApparently it's a fad to blame the shippers nowadays. smh (on a side note: I haven't used the word 'fad' in about 503493049 years. :p)
ReplyDeleteAnd he did all that after he was working out shirtless at his place of work and he didn't even put a shirt on after Felicity came to the office. Like you said people ignored that scene because you know "oh yeah a cute shirtless guy" but for I thought that scene was offensive on so many levels and if a situation like that happened in real life he should've been be reported.
ReplyDeleteThat man is cursed lol for the second time he comes in a show's third season to be an obstacle between the show's main couple, his character is shady and unlikable, the woman he loves was killed and he is supposed to be a hero but people are not buying it. No disrespect to BR I'm sure he is a nice guy but I'm not a fan of his acting, his face is too wooden and he gets this crazy look in his eyes that really weirds me out.
ReplyDeleteShit, I voted for Maseo by mistake. I though the poll was for favorite new character. The LEAST favorite is definitely Chase the DJ! What the hell was that?
ReplyDeleteProbably.
ReplyDeleteI don't completely see the love triangle or rivalry for Felicirt's affections at all.
ReplyDeleteHey...I like Ray Palmer! He's genuine, sincere & always tries to lighten the mood with a joke. Plus he wants to save Starling City too, though at this point I am stupefied as to why anybody wants to save this stupid city.
ReplyDeleteP.S. He is freaking Superman afterall..and I prefer his version to Henry Cavill's.
Different character dude.
ReplyDeleteWell to fair Cupid is based on the comic character. But she really isn't that Harley Quinn -esque. Besides the obsession of course. Hell she lacks Quinn more sympathetic tendencies, her surprising humanity at times, and her odd sense of innocence. I get why you didn't like her though.
ReplyDeleteI would say Douche DJ & Ray are almost at the same level for me. But some people
ReplyDeletehave been too willing to overlook Rays problematic (read creepy stalking) behavior just because
he is supposed to be The Atom.
ReplyDeleteWell to be fair that is what Arrow producers wanted from Gabel. A scarecrow like Count. Seth talked about it a while ago.
ReplyDeleteOK, I'll blame the producers for ruining a comic book Royalty character and making him a Scarecrow knockoff. I'm still bitter about that and about a new count still not getting it right. How hard is it to be a Count from a made up country and a device to give you sonic powers? How hard, show?
ReplyDeleteWell, i mean Green Arrow started as a Batman rip-off, so why not rip off Batmn characters in the show too...
ReplyDeleteYou have a funny idea of stole. He bought queen consolidated fair and square. Oliver was bankrupt. He will be a much more interesting character once they finally put him in the atom suit and give him something to do.
ReplyDeleteLOL, true enough.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to join everyone over at the D.J. Douche table. He was my only vote.
ReplyDeleteNot too fond of Cupid, though, and while Ra's al Ghul hasn't had much screen time yet, I'm not thrilled with the casting choice.
Looks like everyone beat me to this post LMAO but yes. Stop generalizing the entire fandom. UGH.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I personally like the character and can't wait to see where they take him too.
ReplyDeleteTrue. Yeah Seth Gabel a like him, but his Vertigo too bad Joker-esque. His appearance in season two was better, but I really prefer the Werner Zytle Vertigo.
ReplyDeleteI liked Red Lincoln, Blue Lincoln not so much (Fringe) but he's doing fine on Salem, so I don't mind him. I don't like either Vertigos, because neither of them are close to the Comic character, they might as well give their version a different name. But if I had to choose between them? Zytle, for sure.
ReplyDeleteWell I've only ever actually seen him on Fringe so can't talk about Salem. Though technically he was only blue Lincoln for one ep, the rest he was gold Lincoln (but I get you're saying, I liked both, but red was cooler). Is Zytle at all like the New 52 one of the same name?
ReplyDeleteWell he is now at least base off the Werner Zytle one so it's a little better maybe. Plus in early season one they were still really committed to the whole realism and grounded aspect which thankfully they have moved away from in some aspects.
ReplyDeleteBlue/Gold Lincoln was boring and showed that Seth is a bit of a limited actor- he thrived when he played Red Lincoln, but Blue/Gold one was just so bland and the fact that he got to live and then "win" the prize and get Red!Olivia just pissed me off, because it was so predictable.
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with New 52 anything, I mostly know Count Vertigo from Young Justice and the bit I read up on him.
ReplyDeleteI'd really like the canary cry but I don't need it. She didn't have it for a bit in the comics, plus this is the Arrow telling of Green Arrow so I can live with changes like that. But yeah I'd love her just happening by Central City and getting it. Who knows? What with Guggenheim's change of heart regarding superpowers she just might at some point.
ReplyDeleteI've heard relatively good things about 52 GA compared to Captain Marvel (I will never call him Shazam) or Wally West.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a comic GA fan, so that's good to know at least. I've always loved the Bat family the most, dunno if I'll try anything in the new 52.
ReplyDeleteI think with Laurel starting her vigilante journey so late, that having the Canary Cry or at least her sister's device would give her an advantage, until she becomes the expert martial artists she's meant to be.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything you just said. Couldn't have said it better. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah Bats has been my favourite for a long time. The main problem I've heard with Batman, is that in the span of six years that superheroes like Batman have existed in the New 52 timeline, he's trained four male Robins. Though I find the regaining of the use of her legs by Barbara to be interesting. Don't actually know since everything I've read predates the New 52.
ReplyDeleteRay. That's all. DJ douche would be next.
ReplyDeleteDidnt Guggenheim tweeted a no to the cry.
ReplyDeletehonestly they have to give Laurel the Canary Cry, they have to deal with the fact that The Black Canary is a superheroine with a superpower and there's no way around it this time no matter how much they try to ignore it
ReplyDeleteLOL, it has to happen sometimes. ;) Glad you agree.
ReplyDeleteHow recent? Since post Flash vs. Arrow he has had a pretty big change of heart regarding Arrow and powers.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I heard that they also erased characters' histories in order to fit into this ridiculous six year span. I'm not sure how to feel about Barbara who got her legs back, but I guess I'd have to read it to see how I feel about it. Dick's my favorite character, but I do love the Bat-family and their dynamics.
ReplyDeleteI dislike the DJ the most, but Ray freaks me out a little. So.
ReplyDeleteSo you liked his period as Batman I take it?
ReplyDeleteI prefer him as Nightwing, but I didn't hate him as Batman.
ReplyDeleteso you think there's still hope for Roy and Thea? because i really, really miss them
ReplyDeleteHope dies last, so yes, there IS hope unless TPTB definitely say no.
ReplyDeleteand they haven't right? please tell me they haven't
ReplyDeletea fan asked him after that article about him being open to powers on Arrow after the Flarrow screening. And he replied with no.
ReplyDeleteSara had the sonic device. They might just give her that. And you are mixing up Black Canary in the comics with the one on the shows. Guggenheim doesnt even want to use the word hero where describing Laurel because she hasnt earned that. So no she isnt a superhero at all at this point.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read or heard anything, that's all I can say. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteYeah, i think they will take Olicity's place as the will "they/won't they angst" on Season 4...
ReplyDeleteI just feels like he doesn't belong to a dark show like arrow, i think flash would've been better show for his character.
ReplyDeleteWeird, because there are several articles and even Guggenheim himself admitting that he's changed that policy. Hell it's even on the Arrow wiki.
ReplyDeleteI liked the whole light Batman (though no one will ever be better than Bruce) to Damian's dark murderous Robin. But yeah he is great as Nightwing.
ReplyDeleteTricky, tricky.
ReplyDeleteWell i think he is not opposed to powers, but as of things stand i dont think they want Canary Cry be part of it.
ReplyDeleteGabel was more Joker than Scarecrow
ReplyDeletebut Sara was The Canary not The Black Canary and the character is known for her Cry
ReplyDeleteit'd be a great storyline that's for sure
ReplyDeleteum then why was she upset that he stopped the kiss and avoiding him?
ReplyDeletedamn i was hoping they would be the stable couple for the series and not the will-they-won't-they couple
ReplyDeleteSo you are basically saying she needs the cry because comics.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so either, but I hope maybe one day.
ReplyDeleteShe wasn't upset that she stopped kissing him. She was upset that he kissed her and thus avoided him. Ray said that, Felicity never once affirmed such a thing. She's still really into Oliver.
ReplyDeleteeither you missed that part where Felicity was finishing Palmer's thoughts which were wrong and the talk at Verdant where she thought he regretted the kiss and was completely wrong (by the way i really like that new part of Verdant, didn't really get into Buffy, i got more into Angel, but it reminds me of the table they were always going to) and you can't deny she's falling for him, just like i can't deny that she's still has feeling for Oliver
ReplyDeletewell Arrow does need more levity and they also need someone for Felicity to bounce off of and he can funny but also serious otherwise it would be too gloom and doom
ReplyDeletethat is true The Black Canary IS one of the best fighters, if not THE best, in comic history and in all honesty Sara fit that bill to a T and Laurel is nowhere near that but i still need this show to realize that they're in a comic-book world, being grounded is fine but at some point they can't keep coming up with ways for superpowers to be tech or personalities or drugs, most of the heroes and villains in DC have powers and they need to embrace that, tell me you at least agree with that
ReplyDeletemy sister doesn't like him JUST because he was Daniel Shaw and almost destroyed Chuck and Sarah, but i don't think that's a good excuse, he's still a great actor and shouldn't be discriminiated for that
ReplyDeleteYeah, the dynamic between him and Damien as Batman and Robin was nice, but Dick is the best when he's Nightwing and not filling in for anyone.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't mean she's falling for him at the moment. She might in future episodes, but for now there's really nothing concretely saying that. Even if she was, Oliver's declaration of love really kills it for now.
ReplyDeleteTrue, but honestly if they ever do get rid of Bruce (which I hope never happens) Dick is the one who could become Batman and truly make it his own and be a more inspiring hero. Though yeah he probably shouldn't.
ReplyDeleteLOL, they're never getting rid of Bruce.
ReplyDeleteNot with a show whose focus is Oliver Queen and his path to the Green Arrow, who as things stand has no super powers.
ReplyDeleteAnd if they gonna use the superpower angle just for Laurel, now thats gonna feel like pandering to the comic book fanboys.
And they will step up and visit Starling once again.
if they give Laurel The Cry i would trust that they could handle it right and i guess i knew what i was getting into when i decided to watch Arrow, don't get me wrong i still love it completely but i don't think that thought will ever leave me, geez if Ra's and Nyssa do that it would be adding salt to the wound, i mean haven't they caused enough damage they just killed Oliver and Thea just lost her brother for the second time, i mean we all know he's not dead but when she hears the news she'll think she lost him again and i don't want that for her
ReplyDeleteWell i think if there was a mention of a blonde girl appearing in Starling who fights criminals and calls herself Canary and wears a costume similar to Saras they would want to investigate.
ReplyDeleteThe reason why i dont have faith in them handling it, its because what i got to see from Laurels addiction storyline.
ReplyDeleteI just can't imagine a world without Bruce Wayne in it, baring any temporary death.
ReplyDeleteI love the Batfamily (even Jason) they're so great. From Bruce to Tim to Alfred to Dick to Barabara and (arguably) Selina they're awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I love Avatar and the Legend of Korra both so very awesome.
ReplyDeleteMe too, I only discovered the shows because of the Nostalgia Critic's Vlogs while watching them, so my brother and I watched along and we both love the shows. I even got an Appa plushie, which is beyond adorable and fluffy.
ReplyDeleteSure it's not a good reason to not like him. Good thing I have other reasons why I don't like him. The ghost of Daniel Shaw is just the cherry on top of a shifty sundae.
ReplyDeleteRay Palmer.
ReplyDeleteChase.
ReplyDeleteCool, I found them though my friends. Started with Korra then Avatar. Have you seen his review of Shyamalan's The Last Airbender? It's pretty great.
ReplyDeleteEasiest decision ever. DJ Douchebag by a mile and a half.
ReplyDeleteLOL, yeah, we saw he had a review for 'The Last Airbender', after he marathoned the show, so we marathoned the show and saw the movie, before watching the review. The movie was terrible, but there were some moments that were so bad they were hilarious, especially Commander Zhao, who had some really WTF lines.
ReplyDeletehmm yeah they haven't handled Laurel very well have they? maybe you're right, which is weird since she's the female lead(which at this point Felicity's the female lead isn't she?)
ReplyDeletewell it would kind of make her more mad at Oliver because i don't think he actually thought as much as he said it that he would be able to beat Ra's so he kind of said it to make her feel good not so worried for him when he knew he would walking to his "death" and make her get closer to Palmer
ReplyDeletepoor guy
ReplyDeleteHe said it because that's how he feels, and given he's about to face one of the world's greatest killers he just wanted to express how he feels in case he dies.
ReplyDeleteHow do you mess up Avatar though? It's one of the best kids shows (and cartoons) ever. And Shyamalan just produced that piece of crap.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to answer. Thanks for putting my thoughts into words. :)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to answer. Thanks for putting my thoughts into words. :)
ReplyDeleteApparently you can, start by white-washing everyone with poor actors, changing their personalities to really bland, change story lines and try and condense a whole season into an hour and a half movie. Walla.
ReplyDeletedo you think, i mean with all that's going that they'll actually have baddies-of-the-week, i know Count Vertigo's returning and Roy's stepping up as the Archer protector of Starling during Olver's absence but it would seem like they would be moving on like when Sara... and they still went and fought them, it still doesn't feel right the way handled Sara's... i still say she deserved better
ReplyDeleteeverything crossed LOL
ReplyDeleteI liked Sara (knew she would die though), but honestly I don't feel there is any better way.
ReplyDeleteNo problem :)
ReplyDeleteAnd making Zuko one of the most complex, sympathetic and best characters of the franchise boring. Damn Shyamalan.
ReplyDeleteit would be wouldn't, plus i should've known i was getting into when i got invested in Sara where i knew Laurel is the Black Canary and the superheroine was never a mantle i just wish the city would know The Canary helped save the city from The Siege but i hope you're right
ReplyDeleteShe should get that recognition, she was (despite what she thought) a hero.
ReplyDeleteI'd say Zuko's whole story line (in the show) is one of the best redemption arcs I've seen period, not just in a cartoon, he's one of my absolute favorite characters because of how complex he is. The less we talk of what Shyamalan and what he did to Avatar, the better.
ReplyDeleteThat and his and Iroh's relationship. So awesome.
ReplyDeleteThis was too easy. The DJ gave us nothing in his 1 & only appearance so far to win us over.
ReplyDeleteMAYBE after a 2nd or 3rd appearance I'll have a better read on him, but so far hes just a cocky punk that I would be thrilled if he got taken down by someone to advance a storyline/plot.
ReplyDeleteYup, I loved Iroh giving the mugger tips, LOL.
ReplyDeleteLOL, no, I don't quite get Zuko/Katara, but to each their own.
ReplyDeleteI've read the promise and most of the search. They're pretty good. Hope we get LoK ones.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty great.
ReplyDeleteOK, thanks.
