  1. I am Very Happy with these Nominees and also Glad Ruth Wilson and Viola Davis are Nominated They have done Amazing This Year.

    ReplyDelete
  2. The TV comedy (Mens) could go to anyone since Jim Parsons isn't nominated

    ReplyDelete
  3. Jane the freakin Virgin???

    ReplyDelete
  4. I think Amy Pohler deserved a nomination, too

    ReplyDelete
  5. Lena Dunham is gross, why does she keep getting nominated?

    ReplyDelete
  6. I hope Viola Davis and Allison Janney both win, they deserve it.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Reign is DEAD. JTV getting nominated means CW WILL SAVE IT.

    ReplyDelete
  8. One is slightly excited so is there a category for Best Actress in a TV mini-series left? If so GO EVA GREEN.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Don't underestimate the power of accidental artificial insemination.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yeah, Viola Davis.
Disappointed the Allison Janney wasn't nominated in the comedy category.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Isn't she in supporting actress

    ReplyDelete
  12. It has already fallen below 1 million viewers and hasn't reached its 9th episode. I don't think so.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Jane the Virgin gets a nomination, but not The 100, Arrow or The Flash. Yeah, right, sure.

    ReplyDelete
  14. The CW has to be picking their jaws up off the floor. Last year it was The 100 for technical emmy, this year it's Jane for GG show and acting? Wow. Maybe I need to pick my jaw up.

    ReplyDelete
  15. She is overrated ans as is her show.

    ReplyDelete
  16. haha But the CW GOT A FRIGGIN GOLDEN GLOBE NOM. THAT HAPPENS NEVER.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I expect JTV to have a PRETTY BIG increase on Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  18. why not? Its not everyday a CW show gets a serious award nomination

    ReplyDelete
  19. Come on Eva Green. Please get a nomination for best actress in a mini-series. You can do this woman. You have been amazing and completely blew me away. This woman's performance was just outstanding.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Julianna Margulies again? Oh woman give it a rest for god sake.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Since when is Mom a drama? Golden Globes have gone mad this year?

    ReplyDelete
  22. It should have been drama, not mini series. Eva should have won for "Closer than sisters" but these award shows rarely recognize horror unless it's campy like AHS.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm just realizing that Kerry Washington is missing. Not that I'm complaining, It just seems those two go hand in hand at awards shows.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I didn't notice since I looked at the comedy and not drama. Since when is Mom a drama?

    ReplyDelete
  25. The only thing the Reign fans can hope is that The Messengers does horrible and Reign is this years BatB.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Does anyone share my frustration about Amy Poehler not being nominated?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Still better than Girls. That show is pure crap and it only gets nominated because it's on HBO.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I wish they had nominated Evan Green too but I'm happy with Viola or Ruth winning.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Go Viola Davis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Because her show is on HBO and she has connections. If her show was on any other channel the critics would rip it to shreds.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Allison Tolman got nominated too, Yeah!

    ReplyDelete
  32. If Eva Green is missed out then yes. Yes they have

    ReplyDelete
  33. Don't burst my bubble. This woman can do it. Plus it had a very mini-series feel. If not then Golden Globes people need to actually watch it and see that Green has out acted every woman on their TV drama list. Even Viola Davis.

    ReplyDelete
  34. NO JIM PARSONS? Wow, weird.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I wish somebody would smite Downton Abbey from all award shows.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm still holding out for you DT showing FOX are idiots for cancelling Gracepoint. Get that damn best actor in a mini-series award.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Penny Dreadful is one of my favorite tv shows but it's not a mini series. They can't cheat the rules like AHS or other tv shows do.

    ReplyDelete
  38. It's not. The Globes don't differentiate between comedy, drama and mini series in the supporting actor and actress categories.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Maybe they got it wrong and the nomination is for Masters of Sex.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wow a CW show nominated for best comedy. I am shocked. I don't watch the virgin and I am kind of rooting against it because I watch the cw's other bubble shows but good for it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Thanks for compiling the list for everyone Alex. Much appreciated.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Eva Green got robbed. BIG TIME.

    ReplyDelete
  43. wow look at that
an actual cw show in this nomination.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I don't understand what qualifies you for being nominated. Its slightly dull when they become repetitive *cough* Good Wife *cough* but seriously Showtime should have pushed Penny Dreadful a lot more. I mean what more does John Logan need to do with that show to make it worthy? Its so good. Oh I can see the Orphan Black fans frustration now.

    ReplyDelete
  45. But seriously I don't see Julianna Margulies giving the level of performance Green did. Come back when she can act like she's been possessed.

    ReplyDelete
  46. and yes Viola Davis:)

and yes Best Foreign film "Ida"

    ReplyDelete
  47. Also for lead actress. Wow

    ReplyDelete
  48. thats it
tomorrow i m gonna check out jane the virgin
    (golden globe nominee)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Can i just say that i am excited to see how Marc Berman is gonna add the golden globe nominations for Jane the Virgin in his Monday reports.

    ReplyDelete
  50. cw must be pretty happy right now.

    ReplyDelete
  51. aha! Its working. The CW will be seeing an increase for Jane this Monday

    ReplyDelete
  52. CW will be like "We don't have to hide behind these People Choice Awards again!" seriously JTV is getting renewed now.

    ReplyDelete
  53. This makes me so sad.

    ReplyDelete
  54. its gonna be hilarious!

    ReplyDelete
  55. its sure.
they r gonna PR like *golden globe nominee*they never done before

    ReplyDelete
  56. sorry but Reign just isn't going to cut it now. If JTV hadn't got this then Reign had chances but now its pretty dead. Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Is Jane more CBS show or WB show?

    ReplyDelete
  58. This makes me sad. Green honestly deserved it so much.

    ReplyDelete
  59. How can they ignore the performances from Sons of Anarchy again? The show, Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, Theo Rossi, Kim Coates and Jimmy Smits were all fantastic this year. At least one of them deserved recognition.

    ReplyDelete
  60. CBS mostly. Hence its higher survival rate. CBS is actually contributing a good show with steam.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I know. I love both shows but Reign is my "little baby". I'm not prepared to let it go.

    ReplyDelete
  62. And what's wrong with JM getting a nomination?
As far as I'm concerned she's owns that category in her role as Alicia, and she's better than ever in seasons 5-6.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Because she was nominated last year and god knows how many times before that. What is CBS going to do when this thing eventually ends? They need to start putting their eggs in a few more baskets. That and she robbed Eva Green of the spot. Not that I hold a grudge......;P

    ReplyDelete
  64. No offense to any other fantastic actress out there (there are plenty in tv now that aren't getting their due notice in awards) but she earns every nomination she's gotten. And yeah, I don't know what CBS will do for awards season after TGW ends in season 7...lol

I'm going to guess that you don't watch the show, otherwise it wouldn't be such a surprise that she's coming back year after year with nominations. They also picked up a nomination for Best Drama (which I agree with, seasons 5-6 have been incredible...)

    ReplyDelete
  65. No matter how good lead actress are these days, most of these awards shows lose all credibility every time they don't nominate Tatiana Maslany at the very least.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I want TGW to win for Best Drama and either Viola or Julianna for best actress. Can't pick between them.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I am shocked and pleased that Gina Rodriguez was nominated. Speak the truth about it's ratings, criticize it's title, but that woman is amazing and truly carries that show. She won't win, but she just helped the CW get a Freaking GG nomination in an acting category....wow.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I don't even watch that show and I know that when they can't list all of the character's names an actress plays, something's up when they aren't on that ballot.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Very happy about Fargo and The Good Wife! Surprised by Clive Owen's nomination (but in a very positive way).
Very disappointed about Boardwalk Empire and Mad Men.

    ReplyDelete
  70. i didnt take this show seriously till now considering the title.
now i just gotta see what is all this hype abt this show

    ReplyDelete
  71. its like the golden globes folkes just copy and paste the same nominations every year for goodness sake who watches downton abbey and julianna margules has won this award so many times give other people a chance for example tatiana maslany. thank God they did not snub viola davis

    ReplyDelete
  72. Where is :
Jim Parson - Big Bang Theory
    Hayden Panetierre - Nashville

    Super pissed about that...

    ReplyDelete
  73. While i am very happy for nominations like Transparent, Fargo and The Affair, it's insane that Eva Green, The Americans and Masters of Sex (and both their leads) weren't nominated.

    ReplyDelete
  74. i m rooting for jeffrey tambor (transparent)
    totally underrated actor/show

    ReplyDelete
  75. "But seriously I don't see Julianna Margulies giving the level of performance Green did."

    You have to be kidding...

    http://33.media.tumblr.com/bd77977c0ba888a6ad728438b141437f/tumblr_mvo0s0ONPG1qke7z9o1_500.gif

    ReplyDelete
  76. Congrats JtV!!

    ReplyDelete
  77. I'm sensing a stronger Midseason push for JTV on the horizon. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't schedule a whole week of JTV repeats over the holiday now. "Catch up on the golden globe nominated show everyone is talking about!" "Catch up on all the reasons to love Golden Globe nominated Actress Gina Rodriguez in the CW's Jane the Virgin"

    ReplyDelete
  78. For best drama I'd pick House of Cards

For best comedy I'd pick Orange is the New Black.

    ReplyDelete
  79. The nominations are pretty different this year compared to last. The Globes are pretty good about highlighting newer shows (B99 won comedy last year and it's not on the list this year).

The Emmy's on the other hand do more copy and pasting year after year.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Viola hands down IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I really wanted HTGAWM to get nominated for best drama but if I had to choose I'll pick Game Of Thrones. I agree with you on OITNB, I watched and fell in live with it this year.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I actually like these noms. Just a few changes: HTGAWM should've been nominated for best drama instead of The Affair. Why is AHS not nominated for best miniseries? Where the hell is Sara Paulson? Why is Lena Dunham still getting nominated?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Game of Thrones is good, but the performances aren't as nuanced as House of Cards. I enjoy both dramas though.

Orange is the New Black is an amazing and heart wrenching show that deserves all the recognition it can get.

I have a feeling the Globes will pick Transparent for comedy though, since its the "new kid on the block" and it addresses a transgender character without cliches and stereotypes.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I agree with that, but at least Viola Davis was nominated, and she'll probably win IMO.

Sara Paulson's performance last season on AHS was so much better than Lange's but hopefully Paulson gets recognition next year.

Agreed on Lena. I would rather see Pohler nominated again over Dunham.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Go Gina so proud
Cw guys might be doing cartwheels now have their shows been nominated ever?

    ReplyDelete
  86. OMG Jane The Virgin and Gina getting Noms. That's fantastic. CW must be jumping on one foot right now.
Jim Parsons isnt on the list that's a first xD.
Only one Nom for Interstellar i thougth it was gonna be on the best motion picture category.
Big Eyes deserves that awards for best soundtrack.
And happy to see The Grand Budapest Hotel there. Certainly it was so underrated.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Sorry Julianna Margulies, you got network competition this year with the fantastic Viola Davis.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I think you are spot on with that

    ReplyDelete
  89. The more the merrier. Network tv hasn't had anything make a big splash in awards shows in the last few years. Outside of TGW, it's all cable dramas. More competition makes everyone step up their game. :) Hopefully, shows like Hannibal start populating these ballots soon as well.

    ReplyDelete
  90. It's actually really good. As surprising as that is.

    ReplyDelete
  91. ItS both WB/CBS

    ReplyDelete
  92. Normally Id say no, but since I'm pretty sure this is the first Golden Globe nom ever for the CW, I could see it.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Happy Viola,Jabe,Gina are nominated,

    ReplyDelete
  94. Fair, but it is quite good.

    ReplyDelete
  95. The win will probably go to Jeffrey Tambor

    ReplyDelete
  96. Oh yes. Definitely. :)

    ReplyDelete
  97. I'm not happy that Silicion Valley was nominated over Mom for Best Comedy. #Smh

    ReplyDelete
  98. But is it really a comedy?

I wish they had an additional award show for broadcast-only. It's hard for me to watch these when I've never seen any of the shows.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Well now I'm really interested in the CW's midseason schedule. And the race against cancellation just got a lot more interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  100. My TV Picks:
Hope Fargo wins over True Detectives.
Best actor comedy - William H. Macey - Shameless
Best actress comedy - Julia Louis Dreyfus - Veep
Best actor drama - Kevin Spacey - House of Cards
    Best
actress drama - Julianna Margulies or Robin Wright. Pretty Sure Viola
will win this one. Because A/ HTGAWM is a big hit B/ Viola will prob be
the only black winner of the night and C/ Claire Danes, Julianna and
    Robin have already won.
Also rooting for Billi Bob Thorntan (Fargo), Allison Tolman (Fargo), Kathy Bates (AHS) and Alаn Сummings(TGW)!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Julianna Margulies is an amazing actress and The Good Wife is the best show on network TV right now.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Interesting nominations!

I am a bit surprised that despite its many nominations True Detective did not get a nomination for Best Drama Series.

I'm glad to see The Affair, The Missing, and Transparent get some love. Ruth Wilson and Jeffrey Tambor were nice surprises, but both nominations are well deserved!

Not many surprises in the movie categories, but I must say...
Quvenzhané Wallis is racking up quite an impressive resume for an 11-year old! XD

First Beasts of the Southern Wild, 12 Years a Slave and now Annie!

    ReplyDelete
  103. So much for the people who said The CW would never get nominated for a major award

    ReplyDelete
  104. Wow for Jane the Virgin and Gina ... I really hope they can win ... it's beyond a long shot though! But this is still huge!!
I hope Matthew Mcconaughey wins for True Detective! He was phenomenal in it!

Also kind of surprised that Interstellar didn't get any nominations :(

    ReplyDelete
  105. Doesn't everyone say that Emmy's or Golden Globes don't don "genre shows"?

    ReplyDelete
  106. I completely agree with you. Watched the first season and the first episode of the second season and I just couldn't anymore ... argh!

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'd choose William H. Macy out of those nominees.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I trust your opinion Babar! I watched the pilot and it was terrible! Did it improve? Does it deserve a nomination?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Yes, it'll be interesting. But, now, JtV is practically renewed. All the buzz the show is having, now the nomination for a GG; CW must be very proud. So, even with low ratings, the show will come back for a second season.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I was hoping the GG would recognize Megan Follows extremely great work last season but no! Sadly her performance will be unnoticed!

The GG's are mostly recycling stuff, I mean most awards are doing lately. They didn't deliver a big new thing excepts JTV which I don't watch.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Yes, The 100. The Originals had a tecnical Emmy nomination too, but I agree, Cw and Mark Pedowitz must be really happy :)

    ReplyDelete
  112. Wow. I can't believe a CW shows was nominated! I'll have to check out Jane the Virgin again. I watched the first 2 episodes but wasn't that into it. It must have improved a lot.

I think a lot of good shows/actresses are missing from the list, like Tatiana Maslany and Eva Green, I wonder why they keep snubbing The Americans, which is such a terrific show with a superb cast. This year, I watched a lot more Network shows than Cable shows, so most of my shows aren't on the list. I'm also sad (but not surprised) that they didn't nominate Black-ish. It's such a smart, well-written and underrated comedy. It has a style of humour that's very relatable and also hits close to home.

I'm also surprised that Downton Abbey keeps getting nominated. I don't think these later seasons are as good as the earlier ones. I really can't object to the good wife. I think it's one of the best TV dramas, and for all of its nominations, it really doesn't get half the wins it deserves. Congrats to Julianne Margoulis and Alan Cummings and of course Viola Davis for her awesome performance in HTGAWM

    ReplyDelete
  113. No disrespect to Jane The Virgin, I haven't watched it. But if this is an awards show willing to show the CW some love, where is the nomination for The 100? Possibly one of the best written shows in years on TV as a whole, never mind the CW. Also Eliza Taylor kills it on every episode. But I'm at least glad the Globes aren't being total snobs towards the CW like other award shows.

And I really hope Julianne Moore wins both Best Actress awards, because she was genuinely brilliant in both, she's had a really good year. She definitely has to win for Still Alice for sure though.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Claire Danes or Viola Davis for Best Drama Actress, Spader for Actor.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Well, I only watched the pilot. Gina acting was good, but the show as a whole did not grab my interest. It's this year's critic darling. I won't be surprised if it gets an Emmy nom, too

    ReplyDelete
  116. Rosamund Pike better win!!! And are The Affair and Jane the Virgin that good?

    ReplyDelete
  117. How can Peter Dinklage not get a nomination? He probably gave the best acting performance all year.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Thanks I agree. Gina's performance in the pilot was quite solid enjozlyed it but overall they were trying to hard and the voiceovers were annoying.
The Emmy nom is a possibility, nothing surprises me anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Ahh okay..
    I misunderstood.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Christopher DeBono11 December 2014 at 19:33

For what it's worth, I felt it did improve. It's by no means amazing, but it's different and has a weird charm to it.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Not nessicarily ,Pedowitz said in an interview to that Janes ratings aren't where they should be and if they go lower in spring-9.2-0.3 critucal acclaim won't save it.Its already gone below a million Viewrs once and is just barely improving its timeslot.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I didn't like the pilot but the episodes after improved

    ReplyDelete
  123. JTV just scored itself a renewal. Wonder if it will benefit from the exposure or if we'll be seeing it hit lows come spring?

    ReplyDelete
  124. The Affair is my favorite new show it is stellar and Jane the Virgin is close behind.

    ReplyDelete
  125. because they do not look for nina dobrev of action? She plays with the performance, deserved at least an indication! :(

    ReplyDelete
  126. I watched Jane the Virgin's pilot to see what all the hype was about and didn't like it. I think I will like The Affair though, and I'll probably give Jane another 2 episode try. Does it get better after the pilot?

    ReplyDelete
  127. The part that worries me the most about its (JAne The Virgin) nomination is that now The 100 has a smaller chance of renewal :(

    ReplyDelete
  128. Couldn't Agree with you anymore. Eva Green has done an Amazing job playing Vanessa Ives on Penny Dreadful.

    ReplyDelete
  129. It depends on what fails12 December 2014 at 13:54

    Yes, it does.

Give a try to The Affair too.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Rosmund Pike was so amazing and sexy in Gone Girl. I hope she wins!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Wow, i was shocked about JTV, but having a great laugh to not see the annoying Modern Family again. That was great! JTV It's for sure getting renewed now! CW must be partying a lot for this

    ReplyDelete
  132. I can't Belive everyone thnks Jane is shoo in for renewal cause of this-*its not.Jane is tying a show in its second season-Reign-meaning if it gets a second season,it's ratings then will be lower than Reigns.Jane is basically neck & neck with Reign as CW lowest rated show.If Jsnes ratings fall in spring, which is Likley,I'm not sure this will save it especially as The 100 has better ratings & Reigns closer to syndication and Janes already gone under a million Viewrs once in EO 6 and even Pedowitz admitted its ratings aren't where CW wants and needs them.I think it's unlikely to win the GG too.For a freshman show,0.4-9.5. In the fall really isn't good and I won't be suprised if it hits 0.2-o.3 in spring.I'm happy it and Viola were nominated though.
