It's that time of the year again where we try to gather feedback from all our readers to better understand how you use the site, what you like/dislike and your ideas for the future.

Really hard to think of something I dislike. But don't worry, I thought of something ;) haha. Seriously though, love this site! It's hard to believe that i've been coming here for years! It somehow still feels like a new website to me.

ReplyDeleteDo you do one of these polls for the apps and browser plugins? Both are options I tried and dismissed.
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion for a show you don't cover was my daytime soap (General Hospital) There have been episodes where I want a poll and comment box -- because of the discussion mechanism. I added that more as a way of illustrating what I love about the site. Hearing other people's opinions (ranting or cheering) and sharing mine.
We don't do separate ones for the browser or apps. The app has it's own feedback form built into it to send suggestions etc. The browser plugin you can use the Feedback link in either the menu at the top or the feedback link at the bottom of the page.
ReplyDeleteIf I was forced to chose one site and only one, this would be the it. Good job to those who run Spoiler TV and contribute through spoilers, reviews, previews, etc.

ReplyDeleteWow, didn't realize the hits were so high. My concern was that there are not nearly as many commenters as one of your competitors (I'm sure you know which one I mean), so it's easier to get into conversations there. But this site is more versatile and I've seen some educated opinions

ReplyDeleteThe only thing this site needs before i would consider it absolutely perfect, is a "favorites" list, that automatically excludes articles that are for what your looking for, like in the chrome extension. It should also have a quick on/off button in case you want to see the unfiltered site.

ReplyDeleteFinished. Does anyone else remember the old Question of the Day feature? Man, I loved that. I would sit in front of my computer and wait for it to load, dork that I am. I can't get enough of User Submitted posts, I guess. I couldn't think of any shows I watch that I would want added. Everything else that I watch is reality or stand-up, and that only occasionally. And sometimes SNL.

ReplyDeleteThis site has pretty much everything TV related. The only thing I could think of I'd like to add is the tagging of cancelled shows. There are times when I start watching a certain show after it's already over and I still want to read the then spoilers and casting info and the conversations people had about certain episodes as if I watched it in real time, and that's kind of impossible to do when all cancelled shows appear under the same tag.

ReplyDeleteAs for Cancelled shows, we recently changed slightly what we do.
Shows cancelled in their first season are still removed and marked as "Cancelled Shows".
Shows that lasted more that 1 Season are no longer removed, and they can be found via their label in the Show List in the sidebar. eg Psych, Boardwalk Empire, Nikita etc.
For all the older shows the best place to find Promo, Sneaks, Press, Photos and Polls etc is via the Episode Database. www.stvplus.com which has links to all those articles.
Or you can use the Search form to find anything else that might be missing or very old.

Done. i'm a little late, but i think that this is one of the be TV sites out there. it's hared to see what needs improvement because this site is just so perfect, that i check it multiple times a day on a daily basis. Unlike TVBTHN i love that we could have discussions about the fates of our favorite tv shows in friendly environment. keep up the good work, this site awesome.
