I really like Harvey Dent when he's not scaring the hell out of me. Alfred, on the other hand? I really hate him because Bruce clearly needs some help and he's never going to get it. But Bruce and Selina were adorable.
And whoa at the end. Didn't see that coming but I love it.
Didn't like the end and Barbara whoring herself out like that. No reason she shouldn't be with Jim. He's done everything to protect her. Hope they don't end up together after that.
Excellent episode as always! The introduction to Harvey Dent or (he who will one day be "Two - Face") was great, especially his scenes with Jim Gordon............more Nicholas D'Agosto! Penguin and Fish Mooney can do no wrong in this series (my two biggest reasons for watching). I like how we (viewers) get small amounts of Edward Nygma, because it leaves us wanting more. The Bruce/Selina scenes were very good, but thankfully not over done for this early in the series. Barbara...............now you know why I don't like her...........she's a mess and Gordon doesn't need the trouble with the future he has ahead of him in Gotham. 4 THE DARKEST KNIGHT, I am Nobody!!!
He can't get help. If he did then there would most likely be no Batman. I doubt it would help much anyway (not doubting the legitimacy of psychology or psychiatry). He's just Bruce Wayne.
Probably one of the weakest episodes so far. Sorry but young Bruce and young Selena are jsut not intersting. They could ahev cut half of their scenes and it would have made for more interesting viewing.
For me the most riveting part was Harvey Dent, the way he flipped just like flipping the coin, hell he scared me, Selena bringing life into Wayne manor, was that the first time little Wayne actually laughed, I'm happy Selina and Bruce are friends, however by no means am I shipping them, they're still just kids, and as for Barbara I hope Gordon lets her stay where she is he really don't need that pain in the butt, he has his hands full trying to clean Gotham up, Robin Lord Taylor continues to kill it week after week, Fish Is going down, I wouldn't want penguin as an enemy, he's ruthless, the future riddler I'm loving him as well!!
Replay that didn't even show me the full press release it was just a description. On every shows home page it used to be a single designated update. Now a bunch of shows are all together for the "week of nov 14th" etc..
Do Gordon and Harvey ever call for reinforcements? Man they are the superheroes of this series! Beside that, was the inmate the antisystem guy from PoI? Do not guess in what his character is going to develop from Arkham on...
I don't want to seem sexist, but the clichés are extreme when speaking of the female accompanying our main character. The portrait of Barbara is a crazy up&down barbie-girl who overreacts or completely misunderstands his husband either in love or job matters. If it wasn't enough, the girl turned out to had a lesbian affaire. She continues on it, but the last scene shows us that she is not quite decided yet...so...the rollercoaster will continue in the following episodes...
If I should be asked for deciding the next steps concerning Barbara, all my parallel fanfics would lead to a cruel end for her
I agree with you, I don't see the point in getting Bruce so much screen-time, he is far too young to develop some Batman-looking skills or enter into scene in a dramatic way, besides of the opening. The series should take his own path and try not to follow Smallville's, cause it is clear to me young Bruce and Gordon cannot sustain the series as good as the baddies as a whole are doing.
Cringey? Wow. Bruce's relationship with Selina is a defining trait of his character, and it seems the overwhelming majority of people online seem to find their interactions absolutely adorable. Sad to see that the internet has made some people so jaded.
This reminds me of when Dark Knight Rises came out and almost everyone loved that café ending with Bruce and Selina together. Yet a few people were grumbling about how it was too sugary and cute and they cringed at the cuteness and wanted Bruce to die because depressing things are cool. LOL.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Selina is just so awesome! Great that she waa teaching Bruce to be mean and ruthless. I felt bad for hear when Bruce brought up her family.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see more Nygma, he's is a great character.
I really like Bruce and selena. They are clearly going down the destined lovers road with them although ALfred isn't wrong about her.
ReplyDeleteGood take on harvery dent. And what a twist on ending.
