Wow!! Super Sonic Boom Baby, that was incredible, another incredible special effects moment.
Another awesome episode. Such nice flashbacks with Joe, Barry and Iris. Lol at Eddie telling Barry to work on his speed, little does he know :)
Didn't expect Barry to reveal himself to Tony, that was a nice touch, he's not all that secretive.
Different to let Iris do the opening and closing titles. The Flash is born now! Something tells me it's going to catch on! OH MY GOD!! We are getting a Flash vs Arrow Sneak Peek next week!!!!!
I liked it. Nooo I loved it! (Surprise surprise right? Haha) I liked the little twist of Iris being the one to narrate the intro. And the dialog! Harrison: "what exactly are we debating?" Cisco: "The amount of bugs Barry swallows while he's running." Harrison: "I look forward to reading your Nobel." Hahahaha Also enjoyed the Boris scene on the roof..."You can't leave me...here." Hahahaha that was funny.
Joe Joe Joe. I love him, he's seriously a favorite of mine on this show. I enjoyed the flashbacks of him, Iris, and Barry. The sparring scene was just too cute and such a "Father/Son moment" And Barry smiling at the end remembering that was adorable. When Eddie said "C'mon Allen I need to hit something." (Barry turns to Joe) "What?" Joe: He's not gonna hit you, go." Hahahahaha. Joe having BOTH scenes with Harrison. Aw man! I was hoping Joe didn't believe him, I was yelling, "YOU'RE A COP YOU SHOULD KNOW WHEN HE'S LYING!" And he did!!! Btw, now more than ever, I believe Harrison is Professor Zoom. I needed proof before even thinking of the theory like everyone one, and his reaction to Nora's name, sealed it for me. But the second scene...INTENSE!! I loveddd it!
Introducing the sonic boom was awesome! And I quote...SUPER SONIC PUNCH BABY! WHOA!!! AHHHH!!! That was great!!! Hell yeah Cisco I was cheering with you!!! Liked the Eddie and Barry scene with them sparring as well. And I believe they'll introduce time travel by the mid season finale.
Seriously loved the dialog tonight Iris: "What should I call you?" Barry: "Anything but the streak."...especially Harrison saying.."Man of Steel." Hahahaha and "In a Flash!!!" YES!!!! It's official!!! Very nice writers.
AND ZOOM!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! THAT WAS SO EPIC!!!!! $%^&^%(@#$%^&#$%^*&^%$#
I really enjoyed it! Definitely getting better and better by the episode. The end was sad to me. Because I can only imagine that Joe will stop helping Barry try to free his father in order to protect his only child, Iris. It's almost like the writers are forcing Joe to pick which child he would protect over the other. Poor Barry. And Joe must be smart enough to not ignore the fact that the lightening murderer comes out of hiding RIGHT after he questions Wells about his possible involvement with the murder of Barry's mother.
Damn, that was one fun hour of television! I'am so damn happy with how this show is turning out.
The flashbacks were my favorite part of the episode. Loved the bit where Joe and Iris are teaching Barry how to fight. "If you do come up against somebody you know you can't beat, be smart. It's okay to run the other way" Awwww, I love how much Joe was such a big father figure to Barry when he was little. Makes my heart melt.
Wells referencing Superman was great. "Interesting, a man of steel" XD And the Firestorm reference. I continue to love all the little easter eggs the show keeps on dropping.
I oddly liked the Barry and Eddie dynamic this week. Their interactions were really fun to watch and even though I still believe that Eddie is really suspicious, it was nice seeing him encourage Barry to punch the punching bag as hard as he can.
The scene where Barry came running through the school at supersonic speed and punched Tony was so freaking awesome. But who's going to pay for all those windows that Barry broke as he zoomed passed them? XD "Supersonic punch, baby! Woooo!" Gotta love Cisco! Amazing special effects. Also, The Flash name is officially born! Yay!
Poor Joe at the end :( He was just trying to find out who killed Nora but it looks like "the man in yellow" wants him to stop or he'll kill Iris. Can't wait to find out the reveal of the Reverse Flash. Should be very exciting!
I believe we'll start seeing Ronnie in the present in December (so either The Flash/Arrow crossover or Episode 9) and we'll first see Martin Stein in the 12th episode.
"So are Flash and Reverse Flash fighting while going trough time?"
*jaw drops. mind explodes.*
I would have never thought of this, but….holy crap, that question is a good one. What if the Reverse-Flash who fights Flash in the fall finale ISN'T the same yellow streak that killed Nora or harassed Joe tonight? What if that is indeed the future Flash and Reverse-Flash with the future Barry trying to fight off Reverse-Flash? If time is fluid, then what if there's an older Barry that sent himself back to grant his younger self those same abilities and there's still another older Barry fighting Reverse-Flash throughout time?
I feel like a broken record singing praises for this show every week. Such a fun hour of television with like able characters good plot movement and villain of the week.
First Girder was a jerk. How dare you hurt my baby Flash. I am glad Iris punched him it was so satisfying. Joe West and Jesse Martin is the treasure of this show. He elevates every scene he is in. I am in love with this man. How beautiful and lovely was the scene where he teaches little Barry to fight?
Team uber nerds FTW. They all had their own bullies growing up. I loved how Caitlin called Barry meeting Iris as The Flash creepy. They are such good friends it's really heartening to see. Caitlin is a worrier and Cisco is a devil in disguise.
Eddie and Barry team up. How cute and kind was Eddie. The thought of him going bad is making me sad. But the guy can do a great bad guy. Iris lying to Eddie was not cool. Why do ladies of superhero shows do that?
The scenes between Joe and Harrison Wells were great. It's wonderful to see two great actors verbally spar on screen. Joe is intuitive but Wells has some trick up his sleeve too. So he has a history at least on paper. That last scene of reverse Flash stealing Joe's research was awesome. My theory is Harrison Wells is the one who killed Nora. He came from the future before her death killed her, killed the then Harrison Wells and his wife, took his identity, started the STAR labs and waited for Barry to be ready to blast the particle accelerator.
I am really impressed with this show. This week was less about cgi and more about characters. Loved it.
Keep on getting Faster Flash! So much to achieve still! Can't wait for later on when he knows of all the things he can do, right now he is just coming in to believing it all.
But for now The Flash is born! I like that he basically named himself.
Firestorm Reference Yay! And the end RF appears it begins!
Yea I know Barry didn't come up with it. Even Cisco mentioned it. But it was nice he took the name in and used the opertunity with Iris to make it permanent.
I wonder what I would name myself if I was a meta... Kalastapu?
A small side note first: Why did they cut the leather line? I was looking forward to it.
I'll keep this short, Joe and Barry: I love your scenes together so much, both with the big version and the small version of Barry lol
Wells and Joe: Their scenes were really good, and Wells just keeps getting shadier and shadier, is he the reversed flash? he is the only one who knew about Joe's investigation, but why would he kill Barry's mother? I'm still convinced that he genuinely cares about Barry, my head is spinning, and before I forget, is Tess Morgan a character from the comics?
Barry and Eddie: I really liked Eddie in this episode, it's nice that we got to know more about him and I hope he and Barry can be friends, I enjoyed their scenes a lot, and they made a pretty good team.
Barry and team Flash: That super sonic punch was AWESOMEEEE, I was fangirling like Cisco while Barry was running but I felt bad for the people who will have to fix all the glass he broke lol the team's scenes were funny, the training dummy and Caitlin schooling Barry about talking to Iris as the Flash and them talking about their childhood bullies (btw I don't think it's a good idea to reveal yourself to the bad guys, Barry no matter how good it felt to gloat lol) and Cisco asking which one they should take down lol and I like how worried Caitlin was about Barry and the scene when Caitlin and Cisco went to rescue Barry reminded me of "the scientist" except Barry was conscious when they found him.
Barry and Iris: I'm officially starting to ship them, they are very adorable together, and the way Barry smiled when he realized that Iris ignored Eddie's call when she was talking to him, and she helped him take Down the bad guy so that was so cool, and that last scene was really sweet, and he's now officially called the Flash but I like to point out that it was Oliver who first referred to Barry as the Flash, and Iris doing the same voice over Barry did in the Pilot was nice although I liked GG's better.
Finally a Firestorm reference, I think we will see him in the crossover episode because Stephen said that they "yet to have a scene together" so they will be in the same episode but not interact.
Huh since I believe Barry saved his younger self the night his mom died. That or Zoom just wanted to ostracize and torture him for years. Which I can believe given he's gone back just to push Barry down a flight of stairs.
Kalastapu - it quickly drags a target to the spell caster disorienting them and close enough to unleash the final part of the spell that blast the target away with an electric blast.
Something like that a pull and push spell.
Aye man powes are cool. Even till this day when I'm driving to work I day dream of alternate worlds with powers and such.
I suspected as much, it would have been a big give away if there was a character named Tess Morgan associated with Reverse Flash or Professor Zoom or any other character people think Wells will turn out to be, that's why I asked. Thank you so much.
Cool spell lol too bad it wasn't in the books it would have helped a lot with killing Nagini.
I agree superpowers are awesome I've always wanted to be a witch actually, what I meant was that we were talking about what superpowers we would posses so casually like we are discussing favourite brands of chocolate or something lol
Pretty good assertion. Nora's Murder and the appearance at Joe's tonight could both be two different stops in the very same fight between the Flash and Reverse Flash
Both events involved the use of a dagger as well (dagger through Iris's photo on the wall, single stab wound to Nora). What if Barry runs some forensic stuff on the dagger
through Iris's photo and finds it's a 100% match to Nora's stab wound?
Haha yea I get you. Witch are cool they like mages have many possibilities power wise. Be it potions spells curse seals. And each categories had even more things you can do with.
Is reverse Flash's streak only yellow in color? Young Barry and today Joe only saw yellow suited man inside the blur. Wouldn't they see a red suited man too if future Barry was there with him. But if they go there it would be awesome.
Tess Morgan sounded so familiar I really thought there was a character by that name but I couldn't find it last night. I think I got hung up on Tess Mercer from Smallville but she was a cross between Eve Teschmacher and Mercy Graves,
The name sounded familiar to me too and immediately thought of Tess from Samllville as well, " Eve Teschmacher and Mercy Graves" I don't know who they are but I didn't like Tess so I probably wouldn't like them either lol
Actually, I think Harrison Wells is someone else working for someone from the future to make sure Barry will have one sure he's doing shady things but I see him being more of an antihero and Eddie is who I believe is Professor Zoom there were some moments tonight that make you wonder about him and focusing on Harrison for these past 6 episodes is just to throw us off.
He's both it's just he doesn't have as much red on him like Barry but he does have some and I don't think Barry was fighting him either time he showed up.
I don't think Barry visiting Iris is creepy I mean how else is he going to try to get her to stop? Not that anyone can stop her but he has to try and he warned her about getting hurt she just won't listen.
Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash's costume is usually the mirror image of Barry's. Yellow in the areas where Barry's is red. Red in the areas where Barry's is yellow
Since Barry in the show does not have near as much yellow details on his costume as the comic book version has (especially the boots) but is more pure red there is no reason for Reverse Flash to have any red details.
Look up the behind the scenes photos of Reverse Flash again. There is no red details there, only yellow and black.
Cmon Barry keeps visiting her because he loves her and like to see her admiration for The Flash. I agree his visit is to warn her off but he was clearly enjoying the time spend with her and was showing off for her and flirting with her. He will keep on visiting her knowing she is keeping secrets from Eddie.
Yeah, there's also that as well but he doesn't want to see her get hurt I just really enjoy them getting their flirt on it's hilarious and I like how she ignored Eddie's call and lied to him about it.
I'm not too familiar with the Flash-verse. I know Caitlin is Killer Frost and Wells is the yellow Reverse Flash, but who is Eddie? I didn't know he was a villain!
Actually Eddie Thawne is the Reverse Flash/Professor Zoom in Flash universe. There is no character with the name Harrison Wells in the comics. Since he is shady, mysterious and looks like he came from or visited the future people think they might be misguiding us with names and Harrison Wells could end up being reverse flash from future.
Just a slight correction. The name of Barry's Reverse Flash is Eobard Thawne, not Eddie. The character of Eddie Thawne, if they're playing it close to the comics, is more likely to be a version of Eobard's ancestor Malcolm Thawne (villain name Cobalt Blue). Who was also Barry's twin brother...
Eve Teschmacher was Lex's assistant in Superman I and II. Mercy Graves was Lex's bodyguard in the 90s Animated Superman cartoon, she dressed in a chauffeur's outfit and kicked butt
Wouldn't that be freaking amazing? I never had this idea until that question was brought up….it would be such a stellar way to even introduce time travel into the series.
Someone took Barry out of his house... Time Travel and Parallel Universes are important things on the Flash universe.
Maybe by the end, Reverse Flash will realize(maybe on the final battle with Barry) that he must change things so he goes back in time trying to mess things up(tries to kill Kid Barry, but his elder version saves him and Nora becomes colateral damage), then he tries to stop Joe from investigating, etc. Then he returns to this timeline we are seeing(that for us is real time so we see the changes made by Prof. Zoom) to see if he manages to change something... One thing changed could be his way of winning.
Just a tought... Flash and time travel are kind of weird.
They definitely brought the geek this episode. Which I really enjoyed. And it let the team bond better. Even if the bad guy peaked in elementary school..haaha...he wanted someone to blog about him? Really? Hasn't he ever heard of reality TV? He should be aiming for Survivor, not a blog with 1000 readers.
Eddie: I've really started to warm up to him since his car convo with Joe and them giving him a personality. Him trying to make friends with Barry was nice and he has some really funny facial expressions.
I'm ignoring Iris until they give her at least one conversation with Barry that isn't all about her.
This might be the first CW show where the adults carry a majority of the enjoyable load. Wells and Joe are just fantastic.
Well, Stephen said that everyone finds out in about episode 7 at least the main characters so I don't think she knows his feelings for her until later but we'll see I hope she finds out next week.
I really hope she does find out because I don't think i can wait much longer even for the crossover and midseason finale I just wish i could watch them now. I'm really going to hate the hiatus for multiple shows because it's going to feel like it's taking forever.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Wow!! Super Sonic Boom Baby, that was incredible, another incredible special effects moment.

Why is my comment waiting to be approved? I didn't curse at all??? = /
ReplyDeleteGot to be honest for a second I was scared that Joe was going to die at the end
ReplyDelete#TheFlashHangover
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of funny because a lot of Iris' voiceover tonight was exactly what Barry did in the Pilot.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed it! Definitely getting better and better by the episode.

Damn, that was one fun hour of television! I'am so damn happy with how this show is turning out.

ReplyDeleteI laugh like an idiot with the Supes and Firestorm reference Jajaja
I believe we'll start seeing Ronnie in the present in December (so either The Flash/Arrow crossover or Episode 9) and we'll first see Martin Stein in the 12th episode.
ReplyDeleteIris will find Barry Allen is The Flash eventually........should be as soon as possible
ReplyDeleteLoved berry and iris scenes
ReplyDeleteLol I outright said Zoom you'd better not kill Joe.
ReplyDeleteAs they don't Smallville it I'm happy.

There was a yellow and red streak during Nora's death too. I just thought that's how the effects of reverse flash looks like.
ReplyDeleteKeep on getting Faster Flash! So much to achieve still! Can't wait for later on when he knows of all the things he can do, right now he is just coming in to believing it all.
ReplyDeleteBut for now The Flash is born! I like that he basically named himself.
Firestorm Reference Yay! And the end RF appears it begins!
I felt the same thing, when at Joe's there was a Red Flash first. I was like based on his costume it should be a different color. hmm interesting.
ReplyDeleteTechnically Oliver was the first one to say Flash in regards to Barry.
ReplyDeleteYea I know Barry didn't come up with it. Even Cisco mentioned it. But it was nice he took the name in and used the opertunity with Iris to make it permanent.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what I would name myself if I was a meta... Kalastapu?
A small side note first: Why did they cut the leather line? I was looking forward to it.

I swear I kept it short.
Huh since I believe Barry saved his younger self the night his mom died. That or Zoom just wanted to ostracize and torture him for years. Which I can believe given he's gone back just to push Barry down a flight of stairs.
ReplyDeleteA just remember how much it'll suck being Barry soon. Might be even worse than being Oliver Queen.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on your superpowers but we could definitely use Cisco's help lol
ReplyDeleteWhat does that word mean?
Something I came up with in 2001 during the time Harry Potter came out. I tried to create my own spell name and that's what I came up with.
ReplyDeleteI would probably want something to do with wind. Wind elemental. With sub rapid regeneration.
Really? Noo.. My poor baby face hero!!
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing at you hahahahahahahahaha, it's fun when it's not me lol
ReplyDeleteAnd what does that spell do?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds cool, I'm still not sure what my superpowers be, and I just realized that we are talking about superpowers, we are so far gone.
Kalastapu - it quickly drags a target to the spell caster disorienting them and close enough to unleash the final part of the spell that blast the target away with an electric blast.
ReplyDeleteSomething like that a pull and push spell.
Aye man powes are cool. Even till this day when I'm driving to work I day dream of alternate worlds with powers and such.
" is Tess Morgan a character from the comics?"
ReplyDeleteNo, there does not appear to be any character named Tess Morgan in the comics, classic or new 52 continuity.
I suspected as much, it would have been a big give away if there was a character named Tess Morgan associated with Reverse Flash or Professor Zoom or any other character people think Wells will turn out to be, that's why I asked. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteCool spell lol too bad it wasn't in the books it would have helped a lot with killing Nagini.

ReplyDeleteHe's both it's just he doesn't have as much red on him like Barry but he does have some and I don't think Barry was fighting him either time he showed up.

ReplyDeleteThanks! Can't wait to see how it all turns out!
ReplyDeleteOh and I enjoyed your review. "My baby Flash!" 😅
I would bet Harrison is from the future as well.
ReplyDeleteThe H Wells name is just too similar to HG Wells (Author of The Time Machine) to be a coincidence in my opinion.
Add to it the secret lair we have seen and Wells looking at news stories from the future... and yeah. XD
ReplyDeleteEve Teschmacher was Lex's assistant in Superman I and II. Mercy Graves was Lex's bodyguard in the 90s Animated Superman cartoon, she dressed in a chauffeur's outfit and kicked butt
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be freaking amazing? I never had this idea until that question was brought up….it would be such a stellar way to even introduce time travel into the series.
ReplyDeleteI don't think his costume has red on it... at least based on the set pictures of Reverse Flash.
ReplyDeleteSomeone took Barry out of his house... Time Travel and Parallel Universes are important things on the Flash universe.
ReplyDeleteMaybe by the end, Reverse Flash will realize(maybe on the final battle with Barry) that he must change things so he goes back in time trying to mess things up(tries to kill Kid Barry, but his elder version saves him and Nora becomes colateral damage), then he tries to stop Joe from investigating, etc. Then he returns to this timeline we are seeing(that for us is real time so we see the changes made by Prof. Zoom) to see if he manages to change something... One thing changed could be his way of winning.
Just a tought... Flash and time travel are kind of weird.
I heard she finds out in episode 7 but she might not find out until the midseason finale.
ReplyDeleteGB said she will either find out Barry is the Flash or Barry has feelings for her soon. I hope it is the former.
ReplyDeleteThey definitely brought the geek this episode. Which I really enjoyed. And it let the team bond better. Even if the bad guy peaked in elementary school..haaha...he wanted someone to blog about him? Really? Hasn't he ever heard of reality TV? He should be aiming for Survivor, not a blog with 1000 readers.
ReplyDeleteEddie: I've really started to warm up to him since his car convo with Joe and them giving him a personality.
They cut the line! I wait. I even rewound. Nope, gone.
ReplyDeleteI loved that line.
ReplyDeleteWell, Stephen said that everyone finds out in about episode 7 at least the main characters so I don't think she knows his feelings for her until later but we'll see I hope she finds out next week.
ReplyDeleteStephen said that... Was it in after show with John Campea. I have to go watch it again.
ReplyDeleteI really hope she does find out because I don't think i can wait much longer even for the crossover and midseason finale I just wish i could watch them now. I'm really going to hate the hiatus for multiple shows because it's going to feel like it's taking forever.
ReplyDeleteRemember prior to Barry's mom being attacked, that gravity was off. I didn't see that with Joe in last night's episode.
ReplyDeleteBarry visiting Iris is like Green Arrow meeting up with lois alot on Smallville lol
ReplyDeleteYeah Joe is hilarious..."Man this particle Aclerator is the Gift that keeps on giving" LOL
