POLL: Favorite Scene from The 100 - The 48
24 Oct 2014
The 100And we're back. What did you think about the season 2 premiere? What was your favorite scene? Just a reminder, you can only vote for 1 option and "other" will always be a choice in case your favorite does not make the cut. Feel free to comment on your choice below and keep the conversation going until next week.
Torn between Clarke kicking butt, Lincoln's heroics, and Monty and Jasper lifting the mood over chocolate cake.
ReplyDeleteYay it's finally back! I voted for that end scene with Jaha and he hears a baby crying.
ReplyDeleteI liked that scene with the weird mutant guy too though, can't wait to see more of that kind of thing. There were lots of great scenes though and it was a great episode. Hugely let down by its ratings though :/
I picked Clarke breaking out and taking a hostage. My least favorite was adding a baby to this mess. I'm glad Jaha is still kickin' around up there but no babies, please.
ReplyDeleteThis one is so hard. There were so many moments that stood out. Clarke the entire episode because she never quit. Kane's intro was great until he ruined it by opening his mouth. Honestly, I like the dynamic of Finn/Bellamy working together and everything Lincoln. He's going to be better utilized this season. He has to be.
ReplyDeleteSN- Did you see the promo for S2 STV posted and the CW press release for Nov? I have serious questions going forward and a big niggling doubt about one of our group. I also wrote a review today! I find it hard to concentrate when writing anything these days, so I felt accomplished.
The ratings worry me too. This show is so much better than a .5 and I can't help but think the CW is in part, at fault. I hate to sound like another fandom, but I think they waited too long to premiere it and then they did it against the World Series which is not our target audience but still a tough time slot. I would love to see how they do airing on Tuesday's after The Flash.
ReplyDeleteI really think that's going to be a hallucination. He is deprived of oxygen, I just hope it leads him to a way off of the Ark.
ReplyDeleteI am torn about it. Not sure it is real and if it is, what is the purpose? Why would anyone leave a child up there knowing they had less chance to live on the Ark than even the slim chance of making it to the ground? I am glad Jaha is still alive and I would love to see him make it, but that would be a logic leap that I am not sure the show is capable of making realistically.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to choose to be optimistic and hope you're right.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could vote for all of them ahh
ReplyDeleteThe mutant guy was awesome. That's more what I expected in the first season. He has to be a real plot point the way they set it up and I am looking forward to seeing if there's a clan of mutants roaming around.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything you just said. I don't think waiting until the last minute to promote it helped either. Since The Flash is so light and The 100 is so dark I don't think they'd really go together though. It's not really compatible with any CW show tbh but Arrow is as close as you could get since it darker. It's definitley one of my top shows though and I'd hate to see it go. I really hope it rises.
ReplyDeleteI rarely am but a real baby is just too far out there. No babies.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to hope it's not real. Hell, I'd prefer if it was a stowaway alien.
ReplyDeleteI liked that scene "We are warriors"!! Laughed so hard :D
ReplyDeleteBwah! The 100 meets Extant? Yeah, hallucination it is then.
ReplyDeleteI loved how Bellamy goes out in confidence and then sees nothing behind him. His look made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteMarie Avgeropoulos teased we'd be seeing more mutant creatures (both human & animal) so I really can't wait to see what they look like and what kind of storyline the mutant humans will have.
ReplyDeleteI actually think they played it smart and it backfired. They have won before by offering counter programming like the World Series. I'm just not sure that the audience for The 100 is the same as many of its other shows. I also understand them waiting because then they could put more focus on the show advertising instead of trying to split time with all other shows premiering in a week.
ReplyDeleteI liked Clarke in the opening scene but I think she rushed it in the escape scene. Her best plan was to get the way of the land and try to figure out the end game. She needs to become a bit of a politician in this new setting. Totally agree about Kane and I see myself getting frustrated with this subplot sooner rather than later. Finn and Bellamy is one of my wish list items because they need time away from Clarke so we can see them as characters outside the irksome love triangle. Lincoln is currently my favorite character so I am all for more him.
ReplyDeleteSPN - I didn't see a promo but I assume you mean the musical episode. I am totally not for it. I think SPN and the freaking books is always a loser. I haven't kept up on SPN spoilers very much since I'm not sure I am going to keep up with SPN.
So did you write a review on SPN or The 100? Are you posting it anywhere? I'd love to read it. Congrats!
If it is renewed next season, I could see it paired with Supernatural if Flash and Arrow retain good ratings. Maybe on Mondays to try to reset that night.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling we will all be struggling with picking only 1 scene per episode this season.
ReplyDeletePaired with SPN sounds good but id be worried it would fall more on Mondays since thats like a black hole for the CW!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, if it gets to the third season (even after a shortened first one), the ratings won't matter because it will be so close to syndication. Heck, with the CW sometimes 2 seasons is enough to push on.
ReplyDeleteI think you hit it on the head with Clarke because season one was about her learning to survive, season two is about her truly become a full-fledged leader and the politics that come with it.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about Clarke. I love that she's proactive but she needs to learn a little diplomacy and patience!
ReplyDeleteI wrote it for The 100. SPN overwhelms me with thoughts, I don't know that I could write about it coherently! I was on Tumblr but that is just a big jumbled mess IMO. So I changed to Blogger.

Also, the release and promo that I liked but had me doubting one of our group is for The 100. I have serious questions about this but the shows moves so fast, they won't last long.
I'm gritting my teeth until after the "musical" SPN airs.
Lol true, The 100 looks expensive though, it might not be worth it for them. There's still a chance it could rise though I guess, now that it's started it's bound to get some buzz going.
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of Clarker becoming a political leader as well. She is going to need some diplomacy even when she gets out of Mount Weather. There is a long battle for respect and agency ahead between the Ark survivors and the 100. Clarke will have to navigate those waters carefully if they are all going to work together to survive.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I was confusing side note (SN) with SPN. No wonder I was very confused. I just watched the promo and I am okay with the hints they are leaving. Jasper isn't a favorite for me anyway. I jsut don't want it to end up that they are being drugged into complacency by teh good food or something. Any decisions he makes, I want them to be his own. After all, these kids have been born into a place of privation and desperation and then crash landed into a war zone. To be seduced by the idea of safety, comfort, and rest woudl be natural. I hope they explore that. How much freedom are they will to give up in order to have what they always wanted?
ReplyDeleteMonty refusing to let Jasper try the cake, but shoves the plate in Clarke's face
ReplyDeleteha! That one made me laugh and we need some light moments in this show.
ReplyDeleteSo many favs but if I have to pick one, it would be Abby carving the message on the drop-ship for Clarke...
ReplyDeleteYeah exactly, it was hilarious. He didn´t back down tho, true warrior :) But the second attempt was funny too.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this is an unpopular opinion, but Murphy's backstory was interesting.
ReplyDeleteI voted other, when Clark tastes the soupe at the end of the episode. The face just showing how she did not want to like it, but it was too good. I generally loved all the food scenes, I mean they has good tasting food for the first time in their life.
ReplyDeleteI really liked each and every one of the scenes from the episode ... it was hard to choose but I went with Clarke breaking out ... and for a rare light hearted moment on the 100 ... the monty and jasper scene was really cute!
ReplyDeleteI thought that was a lot more like "Defying Gravity", the show that got cancelled a while back.
ReplyDeleteSo many good ones. I was surprised how much I liked the scenes between Raven and Murphy, and the end with Jaha.
