So many to name, but just on the list... Sara Lance and Enzo. Possibly Luke and Liv too.
Sara's introduction as the Canary added a different feel to Arrow and it worked in the shows favor. Enzo was one of the better things to come from The Vampire Diaries these past few seasons. Luke and Liv I kept going back and forth on each episode. Sometimes they felt like a breath of fresh air to the show, other times they felt really annoying.
until I lo0ked at the check saying $886O , I didn't believe ...that...my brother was like realey earning money parttime from there labt0p. . there best friend haz done this 4 only twenty three months and a short time ago paid for the depts on there house and purchased a gorgeous Jaguar E-type .From this site----------------------------
Really only one for me, Raymond (Red) Reddington from The Blacklist. I had never seen James Spader before and had to visit netflix and watch all of his shows.
I absolutely loved Oberyn Martel, I wished so hard that they would change the story so we could keep him. I screamed at the TV for him to move away from the Mountain. I loved every scene he was in, he was just fantastic. I also really liked Enzo in Vampire Diaries, I'm probably in the minority for this one but I thought it was nice to find out that Damon's life did not only revolve around his brother and Katherine/Elena. And now he has someone to be snarky with. And I thought Enzo was cute which is always a plus. Of course now that Alaric's bad, Enzo seems a bit redundant but I hope they'll find him a spot in this mess.
We couldn't have asked for a better Oberyn, perfect casting imo! He and Dinklage were a joy to watch, I could have had one episode of just the two of them sparring with words over a meal, lol.
I was also right there with you during that last fight, sad times :(
I totally agree that Gage was a scene stealer. I was trying to stay at 5; otherwise, I would have added,The Musketeers' Constance, Abbie Mills (Sleepy Hollow), Reign's Mary and Catherine, and Capaldi's Doctor and Clara. : )
Lol yes. I think first on the dearly departed list for the 2014/15 season has to be Nostradamus' beard, where in the blue blazers has that gone :o Or is it some new plague avoidance ploy at work XD
Oberyn Martell:his character was great although he had a horrible way of dying. Enzo:He's a fun character. His snarky comments bring to tvd something different.Damon doesn't have to be the only snarky one. Frederick Beauchamp:He has always been so misterious...You didn't know if he was good or evil in the first episodes .I think he's good now,he loves his family and I hope writers won't kill him in the season finale
I voted for Oberyn Martell, who brought a great deal of intrigue to the latest season of GOT, and Finn Polmar, the smooth-voiced Assitant State's Attorney on TGW.
Trubel was a real game changer for Grimm so she won my best new character award earlier. Malia was a breath of fresh air and humor on Teen Wolf. Sin was fantastic on Arrow. I would have voted for Sara as well but then they turned her into a renewed love triangle and not all the kick butt action in the world could save her then. I'd also add Kate on 24 and Hickey on Community,
If we are also including character on new shows, these are my favorites in no specific order:
Derrick Hill - Enlisted Red Queen (since Will was already on OUaT) - OUaT Wonderland Octavia - The 100 Red - The Blacklist Andrew - Crazy Ones Barry - The Goldbergs Daniel - Helix Aramis - The Musketeers Henry - Resurrection May - SHIELD Drake - Star-Crossed Jack - Surviving Jack Diane - Trophy Wife Ensign Baker - TURN Riley - Intelligence Maldonado - Almost Human Arika - Dominion Yolanda and Sofia - Young & Hungry Tex - The Last Ship Krista - The Night Shift Jamie - Outlander Abraham - The Strain Leo - Taxi Brooklyn
From the list: 1) Game of Thrones/Oberyn Martell - after his first scenes (especially with Tyrion) you must of thought "Damn, it's to bad he has to die in the in!" I haven't felt that way since Ned Stark's beheading. 2) The Vampire Diaries/Enzo - his introduction and relationship with Damon was the only redeeming part of last season. 3) How to get away with Murder/Annalise Keating - Viola Davis' performance was outstanding and the ratings for the premiere (14.34) say it all! 4) Gotham/Fish Mooney - Jada Pinkett Smith's performance stole the show making her the "Other Star" for this viewer. I'll be tuning in week after week just for Fish Mooney. Nobody, 4 NOW!!!
Only new characters introduced into already established shows (i.e. Shows in their 2nd season or later) were included in the poll. Shows in their first season were not included, which is why no one from Reign, Sleepy Hollow SHIELD, Blacklist, etc. etc.is listed
Only one on that list that I really loved is Robin Hood on OUAT. I also liked Sara on Arrow.
From New Shows in 2013/2014:
Coulson and May - Agents of Shield Ichabod - Sleepy Hollow John and Dorian - Almost Human Michael and Alex - Dominion April, Beth, Dominic, and Leo - Chasing Life Henry and Abe - Forever Gordon - Gotham
I tend to like main/recurring characters from original start of shows so new introduced characters from later seasons becoming a favorite is rare (Castiel on Supernatural is one of the exceptions, also Bear the dog on POI lol).
Sin from Arrow Trubel from Grimm Robin Hood from OUAT Jennifer Mason from Haven Other: Breanna and Greer from Chasing Life May from Agents of Shield Sofia from Star-Crossed Red from The Blacklist
Indeed, Pascal looked foreign, princely, dangerous, sleek and libertine all at once. I'm still wondering what happened to Ellaria after he died, she kind of disappears. Dinklage had so many amazing scenes in those last episodes, I particularly liked the one where he talked to his brother about their cousin and his beetles, I was mesmerized.
Yes, again I know exactly what you mean in that scene, he held the audience in the palm of his hand throughout much of the last season though, especially with the court scenes and his killing of his father and Shae. Such a wonderful actor!
From the list : Oberyn Martell, Sara Lance, Enzo and Robin Hood. Then: Kira, Malia on Teen Wolf, Red on The Blacklist, Ichabod, Abbie and Henry on Sleepy Hollow.
Trubel breathed new life into a series that I loved but was starting to get bored with. I hope she stays on as recurring for all of S4 and into any future seasons we may get. Meisner was another great addition - he made Adalind bearable (believe me, that is one hell of an accomplishment).
Sara was a great addition when she was being kick ass, not so much with the love triangle. I really hope Arrow is done with all the love geometry. Let's get back to an old fashioned bad guy ass kicking!
Others: Malia (Teen Wolf) - she is hilarious and Shelly plays off Dylan O'Brien beautifully Red (The Blacklist) - James Spader is one of my favorite actors. His line delivery is perfection! Tom Keen (The Blacklist) - so much more interesting as a "bad guy" Agent May (AoS) - she can kick ass AND be vulnerable (well, at least with Coulson) Agent Ward (AoS) - some much better as a "bad guy"...can't wait to see his story line in S2 Octavia Blake (The 100) - had the best character growth over the season Bellamy Blake (The 100) - had the second best character growth over the season Lincoln (The 100) - not just a dumb Grounder. Can't wait for more on him and the others in S2 Clarke (The 100) - from Princess to Survivor, third best character growth (love triangle stunted it) Icabod Crane (Sleepy Hollow) - that doughnut tax rant will always be one of my favorite scenes Abbie Mills (Sleepy Hollow) - like May, kick ass AND vulnerable Mary Morstan (Sherlock) - oh, you sneaky little minx - loved the twist on her character!
The poll was specifically for newly introduced characters in recurring shows. New shows in 2013 were excluded from the poll, otherwise all of your "other" choices would have made the list.
Deathstroke should be a choice. Now, while we had Slade Wilson in season one, I just LOVED the turn during season two that made Deathstroke one of the best villains I've seen in live-action and I'm counting both TV and film.
Must be really hard to see him win this even though some of the infamous ones of the Swan Queen fans have been trying so hard to get people to vote again him. ;)
I'm not a fan of Sean Maguire's acting. Pedro Pascal deserves the win in my opinion. He was awesome as Oberyn and I was gutted when his character died. Rebecca Madder's not bad either. Although the kid who played Pan was pretty good! But I'd definitely not put Maguire first.
Oh man, you totally got me. Lol Just because you want to blow the guy, doesn't mean he isn't a douche. Anyway, I'm over it. You're some random person that got butthurt over something posted on the internet. Your life must be grand! Lol
Oberyn & Zelena. Robin isn't a new character in Once Upon Time so shouldn't qualify, but Sean Macguire isn't up to the job anyway. He has two facial expressions in his repertoire. I hear he's a nice guy and fun to hang out with but that doesn't make an actor. When you can't tell Robin Hood from the rest of the wood he's a liability.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Sofia-Star Crossed
ReplyDeleteTVD-Enzo,GoT-Oberyn martell,Mistresses-Scott & Arrow-Sarah Lance for me.
ReplyDeleteMary - Reign
ReplyDeleteSo many to name, but just on the list...
ReplyDeleteSara Lance and Enzo. Possibly Luke and Liv too.

My four picks go to Coach (New Girl), Rowan & Maya (Scandal) and Fiona (AHS: Coven).
ReplyDeleteRobin Hood and Pan on OUAT

Other - May, Agents of SHIELD. If he counts (since he was only new on TV, not in general), Coulson too.
Oberyn Martell and Sara Lance for me
ReplyDeleteRobin, Zelena & Pan in OUAT and Brad Tonkin in Continuum.
ReplyDeleteReally only one for me, Raymond (Red) Reddington from The Blacklist.

ReplyDeleteFrom the list - Oberyn Martell
ReplyDeleteOff the list - Aramis, Athos, Porthos, d'Artagnan & King Louis from Musketeers & Capaldi's Doctor
The Mother(HIMYM)
ReplyDeleteI had to include Louis too even though he has a much smaller role, Gage stole every scene he was in in S1 and thoroughly owned that part :)
ReplyDeleteWe couldn't have asked for a better Oberyn, perfect casting imo! He and Dinklage were a joy to watch, I could have had one episode of just the two of them sparring with words over a meal, lol.
ReplyDeleteI was also right there with you during that last fight, sad times :(
I totally agree that Gage was a scene stealer. I was trying to stay at 5; otherwise, I would have added,The Musketeers' Constance, Abbie Mills (Sleepy Hollow), Reign's Mary and Catherine, and Capaldi's Doctor and Clara. : )
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I kept it to just Clarissa for Reign but could easily have added at least Catherine and Henry too for a start, lol.
ReplyDeleteDecisions, decisions...lol. ; )
ReplyDeleteLol yes. I think first on the dearly departed list for the 2014/15 season has to be Nostradamus' beard, where in the blue blazers has that gone :o Or is it some new plague avoidance ploy at work XD

Trubel and Meisner on Grimm, but most of all--Other: ELEANOR NACHT! Hope she's back on The Bridge next year, because she is one crazy lady.

The poll was specifically for newly introduced characters in recurring shows. New shows in 2013 were excluded from the poll, otherwise all of your "other" choices would have made the list.
ReplyDeleteSleepy Hollow, the 100, AoS and The Blacklist were all new shows in 2013, The poll was for recurring shows only. .
ReplyDeleteYep but I only had 2 new introduced characters I liked (mentioned at start of post), so I decided to include the others (like many people did).
ReplyDeleteOberyn Martell and Sara Lance!!!
ReplyDeleteDeathstroke should be a choice. Now, while we had Slade Wilson in season one, I just LOVED the turn during season two that made Deathstroke one of the best villains I've seen in live-action and I'm counting both TV and film.
ReplyDeleteI love Coach, but he doesn't count he was in New Girl's pilot.
ReplyDeleteTrubel - Grimm
ReplyDeleteA lot of shows left off the list. Not that I could have compiled it myself. :-) I can't even think of names to add if I picked other. :-D
voted for Robin Hood, I really like him
ReplyDeleteRobin Hood, Pan, Zelena; practically family, lol.
ReplyDeleteRobin Hood doesn't begin to compete with Oberyn Martell. :)
ReplyDeleteFuck Sean McGuire
ReplyDeleteIf you are gonna insult or be an asshole about the actor and not the actual character at least spell his name properly
ReplyDeleteNah, he doesn't warrents me trying. He's a douche.
ReplyDeleteYour posts reveal a lot more about you than they could ever say about Sean Maguire. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteOberyn and Zelena.
ReplyDeleteRobin Hood was not a new character in the 2013-2014 season. He appeared in Once Upon a Time in the previous season, so he shouldn't be in this poll.
ReplyDeleteThe role was recast, so in a way he was a new character.
ReplyDeleteNot a new character in any way, just a different actor. This poll names characters, not actors.
ReplyDeleteMust be really hard to see him win this even though some of the infamous ones of the Swan Queen fans have been trying so hard to get people to vote again him. ;)
ReplyDeleteRobin Hood isn't even a new character, just because he got a new actor doesn't mean he wasn't introduced in season 2....

ReplyDeleteOberyn, Enzo and Sara Lance!
ReplyDeleteWhy is Robin Hood in there then? That character appeared in an earlier season.
ReplyDeleteI remember contemplating this and I ended up leaving him as a choice because the actor was different, I believe
ReplyDeleteRobin Hood on OUAT
ReplyDelete
