Definitely the best episode of the show. Thank God Nora's mom died and the flashbacks with Abraham and his then wife were really good. I also enjoyed when Quinlan made his second appearance.
I was a little bored with the flashback part, but the rest was decent. I'm really interested in the monster SWAT team. It was good to see the rockstar return as a vampire though it was awful convenient that he lived (writers must want to keep him around). Nora's mother was certainly holding the group back so I'm glad she is gone. I'm hoping Kelly shows up again in the season finale.
Stop teasing us......................WE WANT MORE MR. QUINLAN.........NOW! The "the hunting flashbacks" played like the scenes in a horror movie (very cool). Even senile old ladies aren't safe in this series and who caught the cameo by Bolivar (he still had his Marilyn Manson wig on, AWESOME)? Between the siege at the gas station and now the pawn shop I can't wait until the "infamous parking lot battle scene", it should be EPIC! Finale is next week so you all know where I'll be. 4 THE KILLER STRAIN. I am Nobody!!!
I want to know more about the vampire SWAT team. Sad Nora's mother had to die, but her character wasn't really working out anyway. Gross, he kept a wormy heart in a jar. Eeew.
Ok, but this was the first time we saw / heard about a healing property connected with the strigoi blood. We've only seen the viral issues (i.e. the worm thing).
One of the better episodes. Had everything good about The Strain: A bad character's death, Eichorst, Setrakian's flashbacks, Gabriel Bolivar, Quinlan, and a kind of successful attempt at warning the country.
A-mazing! Eichorst truly is an awesome evil character. And Cartoony-Master has grown on me lol. Very graphic and haunting images in this one, what with Nora releasing her mother (great development for her character) and Miriam coming back with her "adopted" children. Vasily keeps stealing the show for me though! Can't wait for the finale and to know what's up with Hoodie Squad and Gus!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
BADASS as fuck.... can't wait for the finale .
ReplyDeletewhoo! Nora's mother is dead! In the book she survives and is annoying as hell, completely unnecessary character.
ReplyDeleteWithout spoiling too much, I think tonight was the first step on the way to where Nora winds up.

ReplyDeleteSo, what makes you think that is Mr. Quinlan?

ReplyDeleteas always loved it..
ReplyDeleteWOW, just WOW. Riveting stuff
ReplyDeleteAt this point the only three characters I care about are Setrakian, Fet and Dutch. Everyone else is really annoying!
ReplyDeleteI didn't get the ending ...
ReplyDeleteThe Master restored Palmer's health using his blood.

ReplyDeleteHe's no vampire?

ReplyDeleteYou do realize that the heart was first revealed in the Pilot lol
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't given the worm, so I don't think so.
