This Bud's for you!
And that horribly horrible pun is the way we're breaking the news to you that a Married…With Children spinoff show is in the works!
Sony Pictures Television is taking out a pitch for a new series based on David Faustino's character, Bud Bundy, sources confirm exclusively to E! News. Sony TV has not yet commented.

makes some sense, Married...with Children was pretty big back in the day and is now probably bigger than it ever was thanks to the millions of reruns.
ReplyDeleteI could imagine TBS or FXX picking it up
Don't want it on a regular network though, making it a pretty dark comedy spin-off like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia would be brilliant :D
:(
ReplyDeleteIf only it could have been Kelly Bundy
Funnily enough, I've never seen a rerun of it on the channel I have.
ReplyDeleteI loved this show do much back in the day! I haven't seen a rerun in a couple of years but I fairly enjoyed them. Especially Marcy and Kelly.
ReplyDeleteIt will be tough to reach the level the had in th 90' but they can try.
I don't think I've ever seen a re-run on in my life.
ReplyDeletereally? TBS is showing it every sunday
ReplyDeleteSo many great memories of this show! Whoa Bundy!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see this happen!!!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder I've never caught a re-run before... It airs on TBS at 4am.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see this it's one of my favorite shows of all time.
ReplyDeletethis could REALLY go either way... I absolutely love the original MWC, I grew up with my parents always watching it + bought myself the complete series on DVD just last year (11 seasons for 50 bucks!). I think it could work if they can give it a new spin but keep the tone of the original, and I also think there'd have to be a fair amount of cameos from Al, Peggy, Kelly and Marcy.
ReplyDeleteI think FXX would be a brilliant idea. didn't even think of that - if done right, it really could go well with Always Sunny. MWC was the original 'no character development, no lessons learned, no holds-barred' comedy
