The season is definitely improving vastly! I'm growing to love Malia but I'm not too fond of her relationship with Stiles. At least they're happy.
I had my suspicions that Lydia was upset about something, and now we know her family is in debt. Hopefully she doesn't bottle up her emotions like usual.
Kira was lovely as always, absolutely lost it when she fell down the stairs.
Liam is pretty amazing so far. I'm surprised Mute died so quickly.
Papa Argent's entrance back to Beacon Hills was beautiful. So glad he's back (and totally digging the beard!)
Woah at The Mute being killed off so early in the season! I was not expecting that. I would have liked to learn more about him but oh well.
So now we have teenage assassins running around Beacon Hills? That's not going to be good but Garrett and Violet seem interesting so far.
Stiles helping Malia in trying to calm her down from turning and going absolutely insane was so adorable. I love these two together so much.
I'm really liking the addition of Liam thus far. I really hope Scott's speech worked and Liam can accept his transformation into a werewolf and can join Scott's pack.
Holy shit at the reveal of a hitlist of supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills! Who is behind all of this?! Gerard? Kate? I need to know!
I think so too and considering the code to get into the hitlist was "Allison" and she died from a supernatural creature so now Gerard wants to get rid of all supernaturals from Beacon Hills? It makes sense unless there's something else going on that we don't know.
I liked this ep. I like Scott and Kira together. And so happy Chris is back. Really wondering where they are going with the Dead Pool. And didn't expect Peter to kill off the Mute guy so fast. Also was not expecting Scott to kidnap Liam.
Malia is super hot! and that chain scene with Stiles in his room was awesome, Papa Sheriffs face was process, and then Malia's retort that she "doesn't get it" was so innocent.
It was cool to see Samantha Logan again (from 666 Park Avenue). It's kinda funny how Scott's now watching Liam from a distance then disappearing just like Derek did to Scott in the first season, even using the same lines "the bite is a gift".
Kira falling down the stairs was brilliant. Wish I could got to one of Lydia's parties :)
Teenagers are running a mass murder spree, wow, I didn't expect them to be working for the Benefactor.
Stiles is so kind to Malia, I'm really liking that and his speech was really nice.
Also didn't see the Mute dying so quickly, but I guess that's a consequence of hunting the supernatural. Sheriff Stilinksi reading the Mutes rights was brilliant, I don't think such laws apply to the supernatural :)
Seeing Chris Argent was nice but sad, I'm glad they can count on him :)
I think Scott was not very smart about Liam, he should have told him what he was and what to expect when he had control, not after he runs away! Lydia's house having a sound proof room only leads me to believe that her grandmother was a banshee too and had that room made so no one would hear her. I love that Derek was in the episode more and hanging out with the Sheriff (special consultant :P) cause honestly he needs role models that aren't psychotic murderers, and also Argent ditched him and I thought their story was good. Mute was too creepy so thank you Peter for taking care of that for me. About the hit list at the end, assuming the numbers were dollar amounts, why was Derek only 15?! My Derek is worth more than that and probably harder to kill than Scott. Lastly what is with that chick beheading the werewolf we never knew was there?! And why are all the black characters super sketchy? (Deaton you are sketchy too). Kira falling on the stairs was awesome (though I don't really think Liam would have accepted her invite if that wasn't part of the episode plot). Lydia saying she doesn't date teenagers anymore leads me to Derek&Lydia which make no sense as a couple but would still be funny to see for a few episodes. Parish is sketchy! I think he will be involved with the big bad though I don't want him to be.
He tried to tell Liam, it didn't work. The black character remark sounds really raise (not saying you are). The girl is a werewolf hunter competing in the deadpool. Scott is worth more because he's an Alpha. I would if she invited me, Kira's hot.
Scott's tie him up with tape idea was pretty funny, he should have hold him then :P. I think the show (Vampire Diaries does this with witches) seems to have all their black characters have sketchy roles which I don't think is a good thing. If this was TVD I would have said that Violet was a witch straight away or that she would be dead by the end of the episode. Other than Deaton and Ms. Morell (who both have mysterious pasts), none of the African-American characters are 'good guys' or still alive. I'm hoping Marcus (was that his name...Liam's friend) turns out to be a decent guy.
On wolf watch, the actors who played Garret and the girl (i forget her name) are assassins not hunters. it would make sense if they were pretending to be freshman to get close to the supernatural beings on the hit list, but then again teen wolf isn't heavy on the logic. (i have a hard time believing a pair of 9th graders are skilled assassins)
I also hope that the addition of Liam gives Scott his full Alpha strength, Also wondering if the delivery guy was a hit or if he was a Omega hunted down.
I'm confused how all the main characters on the list are so much less in bounty than the rest on the list. (and i'm guessing the 15 is in hundreds or thousands, and is being funded by the 117 million stolen from the Hales).
My speculation would be the lower bounty is to keep them low priority. Which would lead to the Benefactor being someone who wants to keep them alive or keep them alive long enough so they personally could get their hands on them. (Peter faking the heist, to steal from Derek....or maybe the Argents aka Gerard).
But it still doesn't explain why Lydia and the show is calling the list a dead pool and not a hit list of bounties. Dead pools are for betting. Shouldn't there be percentages/odds, # of bets, etc?
So I have really enjoyed the season so far but this was, I think, the best episode this season so far! In a long time actually. The writing and everything was just really strong, the transitions between comedy and drama scenes were handled really well and overall just a freakin amazing episode.
Pathetic... Is how I felt when Scott and Stiles let Liam escape. But the comedy sure as damn saved that state of being. Then again...at the Boat house... come on Scott Take Control Faster. Calm em down with a roar or 2. Then later when he breaks free, can he not run after him right away at matching speeds if not faster... either way it worked out for the better in the end, We got to see Mr. Argent with a bad ass cross bow. Good advice he gave to Scott, He should of used his own words from the start.
I really like the development with Malia and Stiles each episode, it just gets better and better with them.
The Silent room at first made me go wtf? why no sound, but apparently it was intentional? tho some say no it wasn't like there was caption. idk if it was supposed to be silent it was cool, but then how come we can hear Kira and Lydia speaking at the end hmm? if it was intentional don't half ass the effects of the room. Also if it was intentional did Mason promise to get everyone out and stop the party? for Lydia? Well that didn't happen. or I lip read wrong
Freaking Peter I don't side with him much, but for once I side with him on his kill. seems like he is the only one willing to use his natural powers when needed these days.
Funny Dead Pool at the end, I like Kira and Derek's numbers nice.
Seems like the benefactor is playing a game of some sorts that has teen assassins working for him. I wonder if these supernatural killing Assassins have been around for a while? if so why haven't the Hunter families and the Assassins gone to war yet over the way of killing. Usually when you have 2 similar parties with a similar goal 1 side will win and be dominant. Or it some revenge act going on.
When Scott told Liam they were brothers...I laugh so hard I started crying. Oddly, this is what reminded me about the bingo game. :-)
I really hope Derek didn't *pay* money for that security system. It seems to only indicate someone has already broken in.
And, yes, Papa Stilinski...sometimes the answer is worse than not knowing. :-)
Who is actually paying off Lydia's credit card debt?
(Bingo question: can we call going through your first change 'wonky' powers?)
I was in the process of congratulating the werewolf dude for his self control and the little Freshman hottie took his head off. WHAA?
Did anyone else's audio go wonky during the office scene? For me it was like the sound engineer completely silenced the dialog track and turned up the music.
Scott jumped out of the way? Seriously? I'm wondering if the Sheriff stole Scott's IQ points this ep.
Poop...Someone makes an ENTRANCE isn't on the bingo card.
I didn't get bingo. :-) But I had fun. Loved The Argent Entrance. What is it with Scott being inept this season? He watches his pack mates get the crap beat out of them then this week he steps out of the way and doesn't do anything to stop Liam going through the window? However, the Sheriff was on it tonight. Stiles was pretty awesome. Peter, really. I know you were there to remind us of the monsters that werewolves can be but...killing a guy in front of the Sheriff? Am I the only person who laughed when Derek announced that "We've found another way?"
I always watch with CC on for scenes like this because it takes to long to turn it on. :-) Thanks for posting the dialog though.
After their armored truck heist attempt....what do you think the odds are that these guys would be able to pull off an Ocean's 11 type job to recover the Hale's money? :-)
I didn't think of the numbers meaning stats over money, but that would make sense of the huge gap between numbers. With Kira's 6, she'd be the toughest out of the ones shown so far. That's a hard pill to swallow lol.
Well but if you think about Kiras Mom who is really old. I think it is quite logical that she has the lowest number. Kira probably has incredible "regenerating" powers.
Yeah the numbers don't make sense at the moment... it seemed like the Wendigo's family were all high numbers but they were easy to kill (except maybe the kid himself). I'm waiting for Stiles to explain it to me with coloured strings ;)
Scott was 25 if I remember Kira 6 Derek 15, if based on what you say it would mean those 3 are the least treat. But they should be the highest. Or maybe they don't know much on them. Lets just wait now till next week when Stiles explains it all.
I'm not saying you are thinking that. What I was correcting you on, is that the two new freshman (the blond guy and the black girl with who killed the beer delivery werewolf) are not werewolf hunters (like the Argents or Calaveras). They are mercenaries.
This is true! I like that they introduced the other witches this season, Liv and her brother and that they have diversified their casting. Hopefully that continues. Well actually I really did not like Liv and her brother the characters because they were mean :(
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Still laughing at Scott going full on Derek this episode. And yay for Chris being back! I missed him.
ReplyDeleteLoved Derek helping out Papa Stilinski and I hope that leads somewhere. I want to see them developing a friendship.
Whoa at the death pool. This isn't going to end well at all.
The season is definitely improving vastly! I'm growing to love Malia but I'm not too fond of her relationship with Stiles. At least they're happy.
ReplyDeleteI had my suspicions that Lydia was upset about something, and now we know her family is in debt. Hopefully she doesn't bottle up her emotions like usual.

Twas awesome. Argent has a beard!
ReplyDeleteGreat episode!

Holy shit at the reveal of a hitlist of supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills! Who is behind all of this?! Gerard? Kate? I need to know!
Gerard would be a cool twist.
ReplyDeleteI think so too and considering the code to get into the hitlist was "Allison" and she died from a supernatural creature so now Gerard wants to get rid of all supernaturals from Beacon Hills? It makes sense unless there's something else going on that we don't know.
ReplyDeleteUnless they pull a twist on us and have Chris be the one behind it all. I doubt it's Kate. So that leaves Gerard.
ReplyDeleteI liked this ep. I like Scott and Kira together. And so happy Chris is back. Really wondering where they are going with the Dead Pool. And didn't expect Peter to kill off the Mute guy so fast. Also was not expecting Scott to kidnap Liam.
ReplyDeleteClassic Stiles. Catching Liam was so funny,
ReplyDeleteMalia is super hot! and that chain scene with Stiles in his room was awesome, Papa Sheriffs face was process, and then Malia's retort that she "doesn't get it" was so innocent.

It wouldn't be Chris. I hope, (but that would be cool and if hinted at correctly brilliant).
ReplyDeleteI think Scott was not very smart about Liam, he should have told him what he was and what to expect when he had control, not after he runs away! it could be seen as betting since they said dead pool, so those with the lowest numbers will be harder to kill? if so it semi makes sense.
ReplyDeleteWhen Scott told Liam they were brothers...I laugh so hard I started crying. Oddly, this is what reminded me about the bingo game. :-)

He was a hit. Violet took a picture of his body, and by the time she got back to the party, Garrett had confirmation of payment from the Benefactor.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think of the numbers meaning stats over money, but that would make sense of the huge gap between numbers. With Kira's 6, she'd be the toughest out of the ones shown so far. That's a hard pill to swallow lol.
ReplyDeleteGood point haha (and I didn't even think to turn on the CC, just thought there was something legitimately wrong with the station lol.)
ReplyDeleteWell but if you think about Kiras Mom who is really old. I think it is quite logical that she has the lowest number. Kira probably has incredible "regenerating" powers.
ReplyDeleteMy audio was fine during the office/wine scene on MTV Canada.
ReplyDeleteProbably more their threat level to humans/ rarity. Such as why Sean's family was so high, and why Scott a True Alpha is so much.
ReplyDeleteYeah the numbers don't make sense at the moment... it seemed like the Wendigo's family were all high numbers but they were easy to kill (except maybe the kid himself). I'm waiting for Stiles to explain it to me with coloured strings ;)

Yes, I think it was intentional for us not to hear dialog but to hear Lydia wiping the carpet.
ReplyDeleteNot all witches in TVD are black and not all black characters in TVD were witches
