I really loved this show! Will definitely be watching.
Completely forgot Brad Beyer was in the cast list so I was definitely surprised when he showed up at the end. Can't wait to find out more about why he faked his death.
So she's knocked up with an alien baby and has a creepy robot son. Somebody needs to do something about that.
very good start and setup... was more tense and creepier than I expected - nice bit of casting having the head of the corporation the same guy from the creepy SyFy virus series - he does foreboding creepiness well. Interesting as to what exactly might be going on - aliens? already sentient robots? what is up with creepy-ish Ethan? it'll be fun to see how things play out, but they definitely have my interest
CBS have found a winner with this series. This pilot was fantastic. I got that feeling that that I rarely get where you know a series will be really good. Looking forward to next week!
It's visually stunning, the technological advances that are shown are amazing, especially that bin. I see Apple has gone for Siri working at your home, and a new thinner, translucent iPad :)
I'm liking the circular motifs that are frequently shown throughout the episode.
I'm assuming that the man Molly saw on the Seraphim, Marcus, is an alien whom uses human beings subconscious thoughts such as loved ones, and imprints that image on themselves, as a mechanism for showing familiarity and preventing Molly from being scared before making her a carrier for the alien babies. These aliens could just be invisible or shielding there true identity, either way there powers of manipulation are out of this world!
I can't wait for next week, this looks like terrific Sci-Fi show :)
Well... I won't be as enthoutiastic as the other, I got really bored halfway throught the episode :/ I found Hale Berry lacking of facial expression when trying to show us an emotion (the surprise when she was talking to her boss and she leart she had to undergo psychic evaluations was just not on her face, the "fear" when Ethan killed (presumably) the bird...). And the final twist was not that unexpected, we pressed so hard on the death of the guy we didn't see in the episode that it became obvious it was him stalking Molly. I found the music kinda cliché too (the first time she saw a shadow when emptying the trash, for example). But the plots are interesting though, I would have liked to have Ethan's father (sorry, not good with the names) put so Asimov Laws of Robotics into the board member ^^ I'll go as far as OK for the poll, but will still check out the next episode, hopping it will get better :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Totally agree on it being more tense and creepy than expected. I was pleasantly surprised!
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
ReplyDeleteAmazing pilot, great sci-fi, drama and misterious stuff, solid cast and I wanna know how Molly get pregnant and if Marcus was alien who took his body.
