I kinda always know the episode name before I watch the episode, I gave a weekly list of all my shows since there's a lot, but it doesn't bother me :)
ReplyDeleteDepends on the show to be perfectly honest
ReplyDeleteDepends I mean some titles are spoilery but the majority aren't so it doesn't bother me knowing in advance.
ReplyDeleteI always try not to know the title of the episode so that after seeing the episode I can try to guess what the title is but I'm always wrong ahah :(
ReplyDeleteI always like when the little has a meaning, like with lost or once. Or if the titles have a constant theme to them like Continuum, Friends or TBBT.
ReplyDeleteI like knowing them after I´ve seen the episode, because some have spoilers and make you think what could mean, like some of TVD (gone girl, while you were sleeping, etc, u know what they mean and it contains spoilers).
ReplyDeleteIt depends.
ReplyDeleteAbout that, I know that won't happen, but if SpoilerTV could NOT show the episode titles of episodes 9.11 and 9.12 of 24 before they air, that would be so appreciated. I don't know exactly about how the season will end, if they stuck to the 24-hour plan or decided to just do 12 hours straight, and I don't want to know either.
Like, if tomorrow Babar sees the FOX press release for episode 9.12 and decides to post it on SpoilerTV with the title (and thus the hour when it all ends), that would kind of ruin it for me because I prefer to be surprised by episode 9.11, not knowing if there'll be a time jump or not. Saying "24 - Episode 9.12 - XX.00 XM - XX.00 XM - Press release" would prevent some people from being spoiled just by clicking on the main page, something that should never happen imo.
I only care about the title if it is a series that I really like as it helps me keep track of the eps. I love Castle but don't know any of the titles, but Supernatural I can tell you my top 20 eps because I know titles. Of course I am talking about SPN when it was good(before season 8 and Carver).
ReplyDeleteI don't mind one way or the other. But it's very rare for a title to spoil the episode for me.I only know what to expect from a title in Game of Thrones and that's only because I've read the books.Other than that it's fun to speculate based on the titles but it's not always easy. For example, shows like Once Upon a Time sometimes give you a general idea with their titles about which character will be more centric in the episode('The Evil Queen' or 'The Jolly Roger').
ReplyDeleteBut other shows you have to watch first to understand the meaning of a title.Like Walking Dead for example.'Too Far Gone' didn't mean much to me before I saw the episode, but afterwards it made perfect sense.
Sometimes knowing the title can ruin the episode as it can make you pre-empt the storyline. I prefer not to know at all.
ReplyDeleteI always like to know! Except I never really cared with HIMYM. They never seemed that important it its case.
ReplyDeleteYes. Otherwise it is like reading an anthology of short stories with all the titles blacked out. Titles are a useful and important part of storytelling, and without them something vital is lost.
ReplyDeleteYES! Absolutely want to know ahead of time. It's one of my favorite little spoilers tad bits I look forward to, because it gets my brain working and thinking about the episodes and the themes, which in turn can get me excited.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's always fun watching an episode and realizing at some point what the title refers to.
ReplyDeleteYes, I most certainly do. It's part of the thrill of the show. I've really got to hand to writers these days, for coming up with enigmatic titles that have double or triple meanings. I not only have to see the obvious, but figure out what it is about that particular aspect that the writers deem important enough to pay close attention to. Walking Dead's "A" really had me going.
ReplyDeleteI like knowing the title name in shows that I am passionate about because many times it is important. On shows I watch casually, I like to know but I don't actively search it out. I do have a pet peeve about shows taking time out of the episode to explain the title to me though. If I can't get it on my own, then you don't need to stop the story for a full out explanation.
ReplyDeleteA combination. I usually don't care one way or another. I can't remember most shows' episode titles. I want to know when I really love the show and/or want to comment on that particular episode to someone. I only have like 2 or 3 shows on right now that I can list some episodes for.
ReplyDeleteSometimes. If I'm watching Netflix or similar, I typically have no idea. But if it's a current show I'm keeping up on, I might (or might not) remember the title. I also have a schedule of shows on a website, so that (plus SpoilerTV) is the only reason I know show titles. I only care if I'm looking for or referencing a specific episode.
ReplyDeleteWe've already posted the title and press release for ep 11. I'll see what I can do for ep 12.
ReplyDeleteI love knowing. Especially in something like Arrow atm where everything revolves around that title. Helps to try and guess what will happen.
ReplyDeleteHi, sorry if I didn't convey that better, I want to know, so I can keep track off my shows :)
ReplyDeleteAs long as I can figure out (for re-run purposes) which episode is which based on the synopsis on the guide for my DVR, I don't really care what the title of the episode is. Although it is nice to have that info for situations like the Episode Competition so I don't have to keep going to imDb.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the show.
