Another awesome episode. I'm was so happy that Vincent and Catherine figured out the Gabe killed Ray Schekmen, I have been waiting for this moment. Now the take down of Gabe begins....bring it on!!! So excited for the last to episodes of season 2, especially because Gabe is going "bye, bye!"
I'm so happy Gabe is finally being forced to face the beast within! He never paid for all the horrible things he did, trying to make everyone believe it was just because he was a beast, and now as a human he's trying to redeem himself. But he can't kid himself any longer. He's as evil a man as he was a beast. I was also really happy we got this closure with Heather. She was always jumping to the wrong conclusions in season one, and meddling in Cat's life thinking she knew better, and making things so much worse. But now she was also forced to confront the truth, and I'm so glad she finally gets it. BATB in these final episodes of season 2 is really being all it can be--combining the very best elements of both seasons 1 and 2.
it wasn't my favorite but it was good, I'm glad Cat has no more secrets for her loved ones, and that Gabe is losing it, Vincent was a little absent but that's OK.
I've been wondering if they were ever going to bring up the murders Gabe committed back in season 1, and so glad they are back to bite him in the ass. I find the show much more enjoyable when they aren't trying to sell Gabe as one of the good guys, now there's no doubt he's just a cold-blooded murderer.
Actually, I missed J.T. and this episode felt more like a Cat/Heather reunion, which would explain the less screen time for Vincent, but still, his presence is powerful even for a few seconds...
Yeah Vincent always has a strong presence, I don't know if it is for how the character is written or if it is because of Jay's performance, but he always stands out.
Agreed, that was a bit lame... How could he even leave that precinct? He was identified as a murderer... I know that killing the witness was 'necessary', but the way its way just too simple
he should been in custody for at least 48 hours......and somehow he know where the "witness" is.......and the promo next week do not seem to indicate he has not been arrested.....really bad police work
Let's see if the police notice that Gabe's DNA is underneath the fingernails of the witness since he scratched the back of Gabe's hand during the fight. Gabe is done for because not only has he been identified in a lineup involving a murder, but now physical evidence links him to the death of the witness.
Enjoyed the episode . I was expecting more drama , I've got fun and few light moments. - Sendhil nailed it . Totally. The last scene was brutally intense. This proves how much potential has been thrown out of the window due to writers' inability to portray his character convincingly .They chose the cheap road and now they have to deal with the consequences. Still the "Othello" theory doesn't make sense to me. Only 3 episodes left and too much focus on a character I don't really care about and nothing at all about Catherine's ancestors or the mythology . - Stalking-Heather (Isn't she loveley? ) brough back the sun, the light , the humour ,the "roll eyes" moments, the Chandler's crazy dynamics . - Gabe & Co. should ask Heather how to track Vincent . Easy like a piece of cake . - Cat knows how to protect a witness. Just cannot figure it out how to keep him alive. - No JT , no party. At least his gummy worms got some screening time. - Catherine need to stop thinking Gabe is doing everything to protect her. Don't be so naive Cat. - Vin/Heather : She nicely and easily accepted her sister beastly bf. See ? Much ado about nothing . - VinCat : If they have to spend all their "Hbo" moments on the rooftop, light up the scene !! - Tess : Nicole will be a regular in S3 and this make me wonder who won't be around . I'll be bummed if it is Nina but I'm getting a bad vibe about her character It was revealed that in S3 Catherine and Vincent will work for the Fbi guy and this lead me to believe there's not much to do for Tess , not even sure about JT.
Line of the night : nobody's watching . Grade : B++
Gabe always insisted that V would never get better, only worse. But that only proves correct for him not Vincent since Gabe even as only a "man" is getting worse while Vincent is continually proving himself. For me that proves that it's not the beast within that makes them bad but their true nature with or without the beast. There's no doubt that Gabe is just a bad guy thru and thru. But to be honest I enjoy him more as a bad guy that a a cheesy love sick puppy. I'm really looking forward to where things go from here!! :)
I'm glad Heather is on the VinCat band wagon. I loved how V told her not to freak out at what she was about to see, then she proceeded to immediately freak out!! lol I was a little leary when I heard Heather will be a regular next season cause she can get on my nerves, but now that she knows it might be interesting....
I loved this episode - VinCat so in love and Heather discovering how much Vincent is good. And I couldn't waiting more to see the day from Gabe losing the mask of good guy..lol.
I like that theory about it being the person themselves that determines who they are as a beast. I totally agree about Gabe should h ave stayed a bad guy-that was way more sellable and he plays a good bad guy. Too bad we went through the redemmed-love sick-save the day-save the beasts one as now there is no where else for him to go. I think Heather will provide some humour to this show as we need that humour back for Season 3 and I agree Heather got on my nerves somethimes, but think that will be better now she knows. Sometimes Heather comes up with some intelligent, intuitive statements and I like that in her. I have really missed the humour and the last few episodes it has come back.
It's great to see 'turning tables'....Heather now is aware of the truth, so Cat doesn't have to lie to her sister anymore. Gabe is no longer in Cat's good books, on the contrary, he has been found out..for what he really is..Careful Gabe,,THEY will find u and not you'l find V!!
Remember the promo pic where Gabe is carrying a man on his shoulders? This wasn't in this ep so I guess he hides the body somewhere so they won't find his DNA under his fingernails. I think he gets away with it again.
This was without a doubt, one of the best episodes of season 2, I'll admit I did miss JT Heather wasn't the pain she usually is,maybe she's growing up, the Vincat magic was In full force, the highlight was the lineup with Gabe, to good to see, and the rooftop scene AWESOME, the eps are Getting better and better, the downfall of Gabe is coming, yeah!!!!
What a great episode last. I'm glad that the writers revealed who really murdered Ray Sheckman. Gabe as a bad guy was more believable than him as a paragon of sainthood. Heather finally learning the truth about Cat and V was a welcoming surprise. I love that this episode brought in some lightness that we have been missing from this season. One of my favorite episode of S2 for sure.
It was a welcome relief that the lightness came from Vincat,, with all they're going through they were just so happy in love it was indeed an awesome episode we usually depend on JT $ Tess to lighten things up, way to go Vincat!!!
Hopefully the Power that Be has learned by now that what worked for this show was the FAB 4 and now Heather will be in the loop so to speak but not in any type of law enforcement. Even if Cat and Vincent go work for the FBI guy whom I like, it could still mean Tess working from that angle and Jt will always be JT. As long as they DO NOT BrIng GABE BACK-he cannot be reborn at third time.. This is not Heroes Reborn! We suffered through him this season and we still have to suffer through him to the very end, which IMO is one of the things that is not helping the ratings. I did love that there were some great light scenes and even though the intensity is stepping up there are still those moments. It would be nice for those few and far between hot moments to be seen better. This episode was written by Eric Tauchman I think, one of the writer's I liked from Season 1.
It was wonderful to see Vincat brought the lightness to the episode it's usually JT & Tess we depend on to lighten things up, Viincat are just so happy in love, this was indeed an awesome episode all way round!!!
Yes Heather does surprise me sometimes. Hopefully now that she's in the loop she will be more useful and not for interrupting VinCat. lol
Maybe next season will be about V working with the FBI to track Gabe? I'm sure he will dispose of the body and slink away into the shadows. He put so much emphasis on V looking more guilty because he ran, well, Gabe must know how guilty he will look (as he should since he totally did it! lol) making bail and the witness turning up dead. My guess is he runs. And Vincent will get his exoneration by helping find the body and finding Gabe.
I think that is another good theory. I, however, cannot stomach another season with Gabe in it. The whole love triangle, redemption, focus on Gabe this season just killed it for me and I think many other beasties. Though we all love Sendhil as an actor and he has played a great bad Gabe-never did buy his portrayal of the good Gabe-and the love scenes between Cat and he almost made me bail-there is a point at which a character becomes more of a detriment to the show than a positive and to me that is where the Gabe character is at. There are lots of things that Cat and V could work for with theFBI, a new beast organization for one.
By the look of things in Ever After promo Gabe probably spin a tale about V and Cat setting him up and having the janitor lied about it. Then Gabe will say that the janitor took of because he lied and was recanted with a note or something and that is why Gabe will still be leading the manhunt against Vincent. At least until the last episode of S2 anyway.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I loved the ending!! I also loved Cat & Heather together in this episode and that Heather is FINALLY in the loop.
ReplyDeleteOMG that ep was probably the BEST one EVER!!!!!!!!! i yelled at my tv and then laughed at the end at Gabe. cant WAIT for next weeks ep!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother awesome episode. I'm was so happy that Vincent and Catherine figured out the Gabe killed

ReplyDeletehow is hell gabe not arrested and only one officer protecting a witness......must be desperate?

ReplyDeleteAgreed, that was a bit lame... How could he even leave that precinct? He was identified as a murderer... I know that killing the witness was 'necessary', but the way its way just too simple

ReplyDeletehe should been in custody for at least 48 hours......and somehow he know where the "witness" is.......and the promo next week do not seem to indicate he has not been arrested.....really bad police work
ReplyDeleteLove tonight episode. CW better give us at least 21 episodes of this season,
ReplyDeleteBeauty & the Beast. Can't get enough of Vincent & Cat together:)

ReplyDeleteGreat episode! I love BATB!
ReplyDeleteLoved this episode. It was awesome!
ReplyDeleteI agree that those HBO moments need to have better lighting for my viewing pleasure!! :)

finally Gabe screwing up and hopefully will end up dead. Loved the last scene with Vincat on the roof relaxing a bit.

ReplyDeleteIt wasn't the same one. Catherine Ashton answered that on Twitter.
