    Geez! First Stefan, now Delena?? I don't like this at all. Why can't they kill people that don't matter, like Bonnie, and Julian (Tyler's gone), and Liv. Hmmm. i wonder if Damon is drinking to Stefan like he did with Alaric?? Okkkk, i hope we get two really good webclips.

    It's the place between love and hate that viewers of a show find themselves in when they find themselves loathing the show they once admired but can't quite let it go out in the hope that what makes the show bad may change one day. I've been there with Dexter.

    That's painful to think about. You hold onto that, i'm gonna let it go. LMFAO! I'm good. I don't want to speculate anymore. Tonight's episode was bad enough. All 3 of them dying in reverse. Tyler's gone (not that i care) Bonnie's on the verge (not that i care). I mean literally the only ones that were semi safe tonight were Matt, Jeremy, and Caroline. (only b/c they didn't show her when her daylight ring wasn't working).

    None of this really bothers me. On this show there's two kinds of dead - 'exiting the series' dead and 'temporary issue' dead. All this death is just a temporary issue. I'm interested to see where they're going with it.

    True. But i like to dial that down for me personally. Takes the excitement out for me. Sigh, i just want to make it through the finale. I'm just hoping they don't disappoint. For me, they've never disappointed us in a finale. Even though i've loved some more than others, but i've always enjoyed all of them nonetheless, i'd hate for them to start giving us a mediocre finale now.

    That would be pretty sweet. It would change the dynamic of the show. The stakes seem really huge for the gang of mystic falls here. And no pun intended either.

    I think that will happen for some of the characters but not all of them. I think Stefan and one other major character will be on another plane.

    Paul Wesley did say something along the lines of "the finale resets the show in a sort of way" I would be okay with this twist, but man what a thing to do. Crazy idea.

    It looks like everyone is going to die, and Mystic Falls might no longer be the setting of the show in Season 6. There's also the possibility that Damon will toss Elena out of the car at the last minute to keep her from blowing up with him. It looks like she got into the car because since he was planning to die, she decided to die with him. Damon wouldn't have that. It explains the promo photos of him reaching out to Elena and her apparently not seeing him. Since Bonnie is there, that scene will probably take place after Damon dies. If Elena and Caroline can still see each other enough to have what looks like an argument, then Elena will probably still be alive. Any confrontation between them will probably be about Sheriff Forbes possibly dying with the Travelers. If all characters end up dead in the season finale, that might be a cliffhanger in the sense that they are all moving on to an afterlife. I don't think that will happen, though. I'm pretty sure Damon is the only one who will die permanently. If Stefan stays dead too, we'll probably see a glimpse of the brothers in their afterlife together in order to give closure to fans of those characters. I don't think that would ruin the show because the love triangle was ruining the show, and after five years, it's time to make some changes. I honestly don't think that Stefan will stay dead.

    I sort of hope that next season everyone but elena is human. it would be ironic since in the beginning, it was important that she stay human when basically everyone else around her was supernatural in some way

    If the show is going to go big and (temporarily) kill off mostly everyone, it should be for the final time. After that TVD should do away with temporary deaths for good.

    It's a really big gamble. If that's what they're doing, I hope it works out for them. If they do it wrong, it could potentially be a very unsatisfying storyline to watch.

    Has anyone considered the idea that maybe Damon dies in the finale in order to bring Stefan back? I mean it kind of make sense. When Damon finds out that Stefan is dead he will probably think that he deserved to die more than Stefan. And there has been some buzz going around that says that Ian wants to leave.

    The reason I think two is because Paul Wesely said that the season would end with two of the characters in a new "location" so that's why I think it will be Stefan and one other character.

    I read that too. He also has mentioned something about a completely new playing field for everyone. Honestly, I think that guy has been doing some borderline trolling of the viewership with some of the stuff he's been saying the last few months.

    Wouldn't it be weird if Damon died in the car but Elena survived for some reason the show has yet to explore? She is the main protagonist, so killing her off isn't an option unless everyone else dies too. Damon, however, has been a problematic character for a while now, in spite of how many people like looking at him and enjoy interacting with Ian Somerhalder. I won't talk to anyone about contracts because, as a trained paralegal, I know better than to discuss anything that only a licensed attorney specializing in the right area of law can fully understand and explain. Since another part of my education was based in television and storytelling, I feel comfortable saying one thing: Some stories are character-driven, others are story-driven. I think TVD is a combination of both, but it's more story-driven because writers plan seasons carefully, taking care to leave openings for changes in the plot if a story doesn't work. I think the show has run into problems because fans have pushed writers into making their favorite characters do certain things, which probably doesn't work for a show that isn't character-driven. It just gets in the way of other stories and belittles characters other fans like, and then those fans complain. We have all been adequately warned that death will be coming in the season finale that people won't expect, and some will be very unhappy. It doesn't look like the EPs will back down this time. What's really sad is that people are either in denial or jumping to conclusions and threatening the cast and crew on Twitter.

    I remember reading some interviews where they say that there will be only permanent deads after this. So probably its a good bye to the other side, and Bonnie will be the "big lost".
