    we know that they'll bring Damon and Bonnie back next season

    the writers have managed to make death feel redundant thanks to previous fake-outs, they can't even make me feel a single thing for this 'death' since we all know that this shit is not final unless Ian Somerhalder confirms his exit.

    Now if Kat Graham and Ian confirmed they were exiting I might even start to care as this would come TOTALLY unsuspected

    I have to believe they will find a way to at least get Damon back. I was surprised they switched it and brought Stefan back instead.

    Tyler is human again? Dislike. I liked him as a hybrid.

    Got my wish and Alaric is back.

    Not quite happy with this finale.

    Unless Ian announces his departure from the series, he'll be back. I was never the biggest Damon fan so if he's really gone I won't lose any sleep. Stelena fans will probably be happy, but they really shouldn't be. IF Stelena happens again and Damon remains dead, then Stefan will pretty much be her second choice, which would really piss me off.

    All the Delena cheesy, over the top, crappy scenes were awful, we've had enough of it! I literally roll my eyes when they have scenes.



    But at least we'll have new dynamics, maybe Bonnie will make Damon interesting, Stefan and Caroline are whatever they are, and Elena will probably be single for a while (about time).

    Love seeing Ric again so glad he's back. I can't believe they didn't bring Lexi back.that sucks. I cried during the Bonnie/Grams scene. I also teared up at the Damon/Bonnie ending it was sad but a great way to go out. Hopefully they actually keep to the deaths that would be impressive.

    The whole engine of this episode was to do away with this issue, which is why I find it so funny that they're almost assuredly going to cop-out on that in one single episode.

    Damon won't stay dead. He's too popular. I still believe Stefan and Elena will eventually end up together - not soon though. The show is pushing for Stefan/Caroline. But maybe 5 episodes until the series finale when fan hate won't matter (cause the show would be ending).


    Stefan and Elena had 2 solid seasons in the beginning, some of 3 and pieces of 5. I'm not throwing my chips away until the end. It's the only way to save this show for me personally in the end. The writing for Damon/Elena has been awful as with most of season 4 and 5. The writers kind of ruined it.

    I just hope they never ever put stefan and elena together, She didn't even cry for stefan. It was so cold. I just want stefan and caroline. Secondly, they sure will get damon and bonnie alive again so it wasn't a really twist for me.
    That jeremy and bonnie part killed me, and stefan with caroline..

    I hope The Other Side at least goes now (though i think Bonnies Grams has some kind of trick up her sleeve, like replacing Bonnie somehow) that way anyone who dies goes onto whatever actually comes next, and more importantly; they can stop with all the death fake-outs (which we all know won't happen) BUT, yah for Alaric.

    Not all shows have a happy ending though. It did somewhat feel like a series finale. As there was no cliffhanger and no bad guy to speak of. People came back and all. It's missing a few things but otherwise I totally can see how someone would feel that way.

    So yesterday I started watching season one of TVD on Netflix,since I stopped watching somewhere in season 4 I was gonna rewatch and catch up. My roommate got hooked and insisted we keep watching and I ended up seeing up to friggin 11. These comments....make me want to just stop. :/ Ah well I'll finish season 1 I guess.

    @MasterWho It doesn't have to be happy. That was not what I was saying at all. I've had shows with a lot of bittersweet endings. There was no sweet, and it felt unfinished despite having no villains currently. Especially for a show heavily relying on romance.

    Haven't watched yet, don't know if I will, but after reading the comments I had to come out and say that I can't believe they killed Damon when we all know they have all the intention of bringing him back. What's the point of killing anyone anymore? Seriously, stop doing it unless you plan to keep them dead!!!
    That said, if Ric is back, I'll probably check it out again next season...
    And, no since I didn't watch, I didn't vote, but considering the last episodes I saw, I'd say my vote would range between ok and aweful.

    TVD fandom is the worst. You are not happy with ANYTHING! Amazing episode, i cried so much, intense scenes, so much agony! We saw so many friendly dead faces and so many enemies too, like Silas and Marcos. Stop complaining or better stop watching for the rest of us who are staying loyal to the show to enjoy it in peace.

    I know it won't happen, but the only way this show can redeem the big mess of nobody staying dead is by having that be the final appearances of both Damon and Bonnie. Both characters got a beautiful end in this episode and I think it's about time they started enforcing that death means something. Oh who am I kidding, the next season is going to be them both overcoming death...

    The ending was more or less what I expected, but with a very sweet Bamon twist, and I didn't expect Alaric. Someone obviously wanted to please Bamon shippers and fans of Alaric at the same time as they killed off two very major characters for good. It's been announced several times that when the Other Side disappeared, that would be the end of resurrections, and anyone on the Other Side would be dead permanently. It's also been announced several times that major characters were going to die in the finale. I hope the EPs don't have to give another official announcement that Bonnie and Damon are really dead to make it any clearer, despite how freaky it was that Damon and Bonnie were swept away while Damon was mid-sentence. The parting scenes were very emotional in a heartwarming way. Damon and Bonnie holding hands gives the indication that they'll probably end up together someday. Judging by the big (and familiar) white light, I'd say that they both went away to be at peace. I think that was what Grams did for Bonnie, whose constant refusal to obey her ancestors and insistence on helping vampires could have caused her to disappear in some other way. Grams must have made a deal with someone, and somehow Damon got to go away to be at peace too. A perfect departure for those characters, and a good way to leave less characters around so that everyone gets screen time.


    I'm confused about Tyler. I get that he's not a hybrid anymore, and showing his spirit in the form of the body he was sealed up in would have been too much trouble, but is he a werewolf, a traveler, or both? Or is he just human again and getting a reboot? I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case. Writers on The Originals messed with his character to the point that he'd need some kind of reanimation to start over. After this, I think it's safe to say that there won't be anymore TVD/TO crossovers. It just doesn't work out.

    Did you notice how at the end when it was a bright light that consumed bonnie and dameon and not the black void? There not dead think about it grams had something up her sleeve when she said she's at peace and wouldnt pass through to the realworld because she knows bonnie gonna be safe.

    I think they should have had Kol come up and pass through Bonnie that way they could send him over to TO next season with the rest of his family.

    Tyler is no longer a vampire! I guess it's because he died as a werewolf? I'm happy he's back to being a regular werewolf.

    I think next season we'll get the Adventures of Bonnie & Damon in whatever they wound up.

    Still not a fan of Stefan & Caroline's friendship being ruined.

    The rest of them are vampires. Tyler went over the anti-magic line and reverted to being a werewolf before he died. Damon & Elena talked about how they had to die as vampires otherwise they wouldn't go to The Other Side.

    I had not seen an episode sinds rescue me but then I read in TV line's May sweeps that Stephen had died and I thought that can not be true they would not do that,so I started watching them all together and for me that helped make it more suspenseful and I enjoyed this season finale I liked Lexi finding peace Alairic coming back maybe the people that came back being human again (making Caroline the only vampire/supernatural being) I think maybe Grams found a way to be the anker saving Bonnie (that way finding peace) leaving a dead Damon and now I'm torn because I want Damon to be oke (and happy with elena cuz I wanted them together in the books but the books went to hell so I stopped reading them (if the books hadden't gone to hell I would have liked Elena happy withStephen and some kids in the tv-series) but them bringing him back would make the other side imploding purposless. what would be cool in my opinion is if all the people sucked in the black hole would return to the normal world as humans without their memories giving them a second chance at life/redemption I would like to see who would still choose doing/being evil/bad if they where human without all the baggage and we could see Delena's journey back together. something new without a lovetriangle a couple of last things Liz has to be alive cuz she's Liz and she's the last parent left sorry for the lack of dots and comma's but english is not my fist language and it's 4 am please don't hate because of the Delena part maybe I would be more of a Stelena ''fan'' if Stepholine was not so obvious/inevitable I kind of liked Caroline and tyler together but i have to stop and go to sleep because I think if I read this tomorrow it will look like I was bodysnatched and a TVD watching traveler was using my body to write slighty obsessive and garbled ramblings.     Ok. So, I really enjoyed this episode more. I tend to enjoy the relationships that are less front-and-center-in-your-face. Favorite scenes involved Matt/Jeremy, Alaric/Damon, Lexi/Stefan, Stefan/Caroline (Ok, yes, the writers are clearly pushing this along to Steroline but I like their current dynamic as friends), Bonnie/Damon (again...it was an unexpected moment between 2 characters that really don't have these type of moments with one another and it played well). Overall, I liked the episode. I believe that Gram did something to save Bonnie from the void and Bonnie holding Damon's hand will allow him to reap the benefits of Gram's sacrifice. I truly don't believe that Damon/Ian is done with the show. Damon is a HUGE part of the show. And, hey, bringing back Alaric was AWESOME. I didn't expect that and feel a renewed excitement about the show with him back. Was hoping Lexi would make it too but glad that she found her peace.

    I'm speculating that Tyler is now werewolf only because Marcos threw "FakeTyler/Julian" into the anti-magic Mystic Falls and he died like when Klaus originally snapped Tyler's next 2 (?) seasons ago. He was born werewolf and so he is werewolf...but no more vampire/hybrid.

    The Other Side was for supernatural creatures only. That's why Stefan (vampire), Luke (witch), Damon (vampire), Elena (vampire), Enzo (vampire), Lexi (vampire), Marcos (traveler), all other travelers, Grams (witch), and Bonnie (witch) were there. Alaric was also there because when he died he was an Originals-like, Ubervampire, vampire hunter (owing to Esther's spell).

    So, my question is: Did the writers bring back Alaric as an Originals-like, Ubervampire, vampire hunter? Or is Alaric plain old Ric, human hunter? *shrug* Logic says vampire but I'm really not sure how they are going to play it.

    I have to admit that I'm hazy on how he ended up in the middle of this plotline/episode but it's really nice to see Paul Wesley not only get a break from playing sad-Stefan, but to also make fun of it. Something along the lines of: "How can someone this beautiful be sad all of the time?!?" I never liked the Silas storyline --- quite frankly, I never really understood it --- but liked Silas humor.

    Alright, So to recap: Back from the Dead: Stefan, Tyler, Enzo, Luke, Alaric, Elena.

    It was a Ok finale, i'm actually surprise about how much i actually liked the final scene with Damon and Bonnie, really.

    And omg, Elena is being insufferable since she became a vampire, but tonight was a whole new level, and a new level of obnoxious and annoying.

    p.s: I was very happy to see Lexi again, even if was for a briefly moment!

    Maybe, maybe not. While a part of me wouldn't mind it due to their chemistry, and because both characters deserve happiness, another part of me (the majority) realizes that it'll just lead to Elena wanting him again and therefore another pointless love triangle, and just as importantly why, why do they have to explore it why does this show need yet another relationship; why can't they just be friends.

    I think they are coming back too. Remember Grams did something. She told Bonnie she will find out soon enough. Grams knew Bonnie would die. So she did something to help Bonnie out. Perhaps she found a few witches who are gonna come and do a spell like the one Davina did and they are gonna show up and do the spell???

    I have a question I need help with: Does anyone remember what episode explained what finding peace on the other side vs. the void (like what happened with Katherine) on the other side? I remember seeing Katherine being sucked out when she died. She didn't even have a chance to pass through Bonnie. And then we see Vicki get sucked out into the darkness/void too. Then the travelers state that the other side is going down. But in tonights episode we hear that talk about finding peace. What does that mean? I mean is that like hell and heaven? Meaning what was originally intended for non-supernatural and supernatural beings to go. Help me understand this, because I thought I understood it but after tonights episode with peace talk, I got a little lost. Lexi and Stefan talked about Alaric possibly finding his peace as well. But turns out he should up at the last minute.

    i didn't cry so much since season 2 at John and Jenna's funeral. Finally TVD brought back the crying scenes and I can feel like I'm watching my favorite show again. Now all is good except Damon dying for good is a no no for me. If season 6 is Damonless the show will be ruined, but I hope this will not happen. Glad Alaric and Enzo are still around.     Hmmmmm....could this be the start of Bamon? It would be something interesting to look forward to in next season, but I doubt Plec will go there. Poor Tyler....he seems to always get screwed (along with Bonnie). When Alaric went through Bonnie I wanted to scream "let Damon go first!". Oh well... I would have preferred to see Lexi live. I can't believe Enzo is back.

    Damon and bonnie died,stefan,enzo and alaric came back to life.Tyler become werewolf again losing his hybrid status,Liv and Luke fled town alive.Markos was sucked in the oblivion along with silas.The whole gang of travellers died in an explosion.We said permanent goodbye to lexi and grams.One question,if you were wanting both the brothers dead,for whose character would you have watched TVDS06?

    The 24 episodes were split into 2 separate story arcs, they followed the cable show format. I have to disagree Season 3 (particularly b with the nogitsune story) was fantastic.

    Maybe the love triangle will be Stefan-Caroline-Enzo, but I think that they won´t go back to the Stefan-Elena-Damon triangle because Elena has made up her mind and she loves Damon, and Stefan is starting to realize that Caroline is in love with him and maybe he feels something too.

    There is rumor floating around in the original site that Kol is going to be in season 2 of the show and so I'm taking a guess that cut scene was suppose to be showing how he got out of the other side alive and join over in New Orleans but its just rumor for now since it's not official. Almost all the originals (esther, mikael and finn) are back from the dead so they are assuming Kol will be soon

    I don´t want enzo with caroline because of his hotness and accent (I don´t like either of those things about him), I like them together because they have more chemistry than Stefan and Caroline and because Caroline is better with a bad guy than with a good one, just think of Klaus, they were perfect together.

    Yes I believe werewolf magic comes from the earth. They creatures of the purest magic which is earth magic. Marcos said only Earth Magic would be allowed in Mystic Falls as it is the purest form of magic there is because it is real and I assuming the witches now in New Orleans will not be able to channel their ancestorial magic as all the dead spirits have been sucked into the void. Did anyone hear how Marcos maid mention about Geneviere being sucked out? lLOL

    I remember in season 3 or 4 when Esther appeared she mention to Elena that Jenna found peace so she won't be on the other side. Maybe The other side is just another saying for limbo that supernatural that goes there cause they still have hope on returning to the human world due to unfinished business and once they got it they move on. thats what I believe lol

    Let them be happy? I would, but they fail at it, and the writers need to stop the fanservice. One of the reasons this season sucked so much was because there was so much focus on their failed relationship, hence driving so many people off the show. Check out reviews and social media, it's a consensus. And sorry not sorry, it's my opinion.

    So whats up with all this 19% aweful? I just watched and it was awesome. 19% is probably the people who hated the fact that Damon is dead? But giving "awful" just because of that is awful itself. The episode was great.

    Why is Tyler not a hybrid anymore? He is just werewolf? It would be a good story for the FINAL SEASON. All the people would return and be back humans, and after long life die as human beings. That would be nice end to the entire story. They would die as vamps and other freaks of nature, be brought back as humans by bonnie. They wasted perfect story.

    I rhink Marcus and the travellers story was the best of all plots created in this uneven season. We had Silas,we had that university scientist, boring guy, I dont even remember his name, we had Katherina in Eleina body, then Enzo, and the travellers/Marcus was the best. It had enough potential to fill entire season.

    I used to ship Stelena, mostly, but now I think they are a long shot and Elena's new self bothers me, I feel like she doesn't deserve all the love Stefan devoted to her. And by now you know how much Delena bothers me, so I don't have a ship with Elena right now. I also liked Caroline with Matt and I like her friendship with Stefan, not sure I would like it to go romantic, but I'm willing to give it a chance. The chemistry Bonnie and Damon had on that last scene surprised me, but I don't know. What about you?

    I guess every human goes either to heaven or hell. Every supernatural would go there too, the good ones to heaven and the bad ones to the void/hell, the one that took katherine. Then the other side was created and the souls of supernaturals were stuck there. If they found peace they went to heaven. Since the other side was falling down the bad ones like Marcos had no time to make any peace, to make good and "buy" a ticket to heaven, they went to Hell. The other side was not created for the supernaturals to make them comfortable, it was created as a trap for Silas, but some of the supernaturals managed to escape to heaven (I guess) if they found peace, Lexi sacrificed herself for Damon and she was granted place in heaven.

    I've watched the final scene for a dozen times, It was really good, the light make me think of Lost final scene. And when damon's last words were cut in the middle of a sentence it made me think of the scene when Juliette hit the atomic bomb core and the screen went bright and the "Lost" title appeared.

    Delena (always and forever until the end of time :P), I like Carenzo, even though they are really pushing caroline and stefan way too much and too soon, I think they are better as friends, I would like to see a Bamon friendship, I really liked the last scene too. I agree with u in the Elena not deserving stefan´s love part, he is really sweet and kind (even though his relationship with elena bored like hell and it didn´t have any passion) and Elena as a human loved him and she was kinda like him, but she realized that she prefers to live dangerously, and with more passion, and when she became a vampire, those feelings where just too strong and she couldn´t fight them anymore, and Damon gives her that and more, and they make a really great couple, that´s what I think.

    It didn't make a whole lot of sense to me that Jeremy & Matt (who have died multiple times and been brought by magic) weren't affected either. I saw someone speculate that maybe it was because magic wasn't keeping them alive as it is with vampires.

    They're doing that to accommodate for Daniel Gillies schedule though - he has to go film Saving Hope in Toronto and they didn't want to dagger Elijah for the first few episodes again (as they did last year to write him out). The Originals is shooting the first three episodes only right now, then they actors will go on break and resume later on.
