as much as i dont want her being the damsel in distress, its going to be Laurel. Thea has more to do with Merlyn but u see in the trailer Arrow, Canary, Roy and the League are fighting back, all thats left is Diggle, Felicity, Laurel and Lance and obviously he loves Laurel the most and that is who Slade will be after. I just hope he doesnt kill Sarah cause this whole canary hero symbol and everything and if he kidnaps Laurel feels like a foreshadow.
Whaattttt??? Really?? I didn't see that coming! She shot him! Twice! IN MID-SENTENCE!! Damn, I hope he was wearing a bulletproof vest!!! That made my jaw drop!
This episode was intense. I loved it. Everything about it. Oliver, Diggle, Felicity, Sara, Quentin. They were just on it tonight! Oliver really kept it together. And when he lost it for a bit Felicity was right there to pick him up!! Omg that Olicity scene killed me. SECOND HUG! (Yes i'm keeping score). And i swear for a minute, i didn't know what she was going to do. I was thinking, whoa! Is she about to kiss him?? Or say "I love you" b/c pleaseeee don't!! It's so not the time. But i couldn't help but hold my breath in that scene. When they hugged i was able to breathe again. LOL
I loved Felicity tonight. "Isabel attacked Diggle so i hit her with the van." HELL YEAH YOU DID! HA! That was great. And i loved her " Oliver. John. I'm probably asking the obvious but are you sure this isn't a trap?" Oliver: "No." "I'm just saying if you guys don't come back, i'm gonna be pissed." Hahaha loved that she actually said JOHN instead of Diggle. Means she meant business.
Malcolm. I gotta say, i expected A LOT more from him tonight. BUT, i was not disappointed with what he gave us. Taking out two soldiers, trying to talk to Thea. That was expected, but i also thought he'd reveal himself to Oliver. And them fighting side by side would've been EPIC!
Sebastian Blood....GOODBYE MOFO!!! You got what you deserved. I couldn't take his smug face one more minute. But i didn't want Isabel killing him. I felt kinda cheated there. His line to Ollie "The person you love most." I automatically said Thea! And it made me think, DOES Sebastian actually know who Slade's last target is?? (I'm NOT asking, please don't answer) Guess it wouldn't make a difference now. And when he was talking to Oliver and Diggle, i thought oh god, no one wants to hear your life story just hand over the briefcase. Haha, bout damn time he did something right, even if it was at the last minute. AND THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR THREATENING OLIVER'S IDENTITY!!
Sara...My darling Sara. I love you. Was anyone else excited when she translated that the words meant "The Canary"?? B/c i sure was. I mean i knew what it was before she said it. But just the fact that they FINALLY put it out there, made me feel all types of feels!! Didn't like the fact that it took her long to put her mask and wig back on though. I was like wtf?? Put it back on!
Quentin!! OUR BOY GOT HIS BADGE BACK!! HELL YEAH DETECTIVE!! I was so glad he got promoted right then and there, and was pretty much calling the shots. I knew it was A.R.G.U.S. at the end. I was so hyped! And when Ollie stuck Roy after the call with Amanda, i said Yesss, we need EVERYBODY!
Next week looks so bad ass, i swear i can't take it. This is not good for my health. Hahaha
That's what i was thinking...but i soooo wanna be wrong (but kinda right b/c duh i'm Olicity shipper). But i automatically yelled out THEA! I mean it IS his sister after all.
I thought that was a great episode. After some not-so-enjoyable ones, I'm optimistic again.
I liked the Laurel/Sara reconciliation this time more than the last one. This one felt more complete. But darn, Laurel really likes the idea of heros.
With Kate Spencer dead, I'm hoping Laurel will become Manhunter and we'll keep both Sara and Laurel.
Loved the Thea/Malcolm scenes, I can really buy them as father and daughter. I think she shot someone coming up behind him, not Malcolm.
Loved the Team Arrow scenes, and that Felicity called him 'John'. I don't know who said the "I love you" Guggenheim tweeted, but I'm very glad it wasn't' Felicity to Oliver.
WHAT I READ SOMEWHERE I WILL HAVE TO FIND IT BUT I READ THAT LAUREL WILL BE THE NEW BLACK CANARY. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Exclusive-Arrow-Boss-1068064.aspx got from on YouTube. Exclusive: Arrow Boss Sets the Record Straight on Black Canary Casting www.tvguide.com. READ THIS
It could be that and I'd love it but what with the way CW works and Oliver being a manwhore and the whole thing starting because of Shado, I think Slade's intention is to take someone he loves romantically.
I agree with every word you said in that comment, Shannon! Sebastian is an idiot! He had it coming! Thank goodness for Quentin! He's really smart and he is a great guy!
I screamed towards the end with Thea! I literally almost screamed that I almost cried! I wish it was a 2-hour finale. Now, we have to wait until next Wednesday!!!!!! Felicity continues to impress me especially what she said about Isabel!!
This news is too old, before they even started filming Season 2. things and plans change and anyways I believed that information was put out to ease Sara in the Canary alter ego. You won't find any recent interviews saying that Laurel will become Black Canary.
Idk. I mean he didn't say "With the person you're in love with the most" So i have to purposely be a little naive on my end, and take it literally. LOL ya know? But you're right. The way CW works they always target the romantic-esque loved ones. Only problem is Ollie doesn't love Felicity romantically (not yet) he may have feelings for her, buried deep, but doesn't know it yet. But with episode 8-9 when she was in the voice-over, that makes me think differently. Actually it scares the crap outta me! Oh boy. Now i'm nervous. IF (and that's a big if) Slade's next target is Felicity. I do know one thing, Ollie's gonna go ballistic!! BRING IT ON SLADE! Oliver's gonna kick your ass!
There is going to be another reason why Oliver is so protective of Felicity and it will be a big reveal in the finale. I think there is some prior connection between Oliver and Felicity before Season 1 and it might be shown in the flashbacks. Oliver obviously knows this secret but Felicity doesn't.
Dude! My mind is blown! The episode wasn't too quick or too slow, I mean it was the right amount, and actually felt like an hour (even though it's 45 min). I wish next week was a two hour finale! After the episodes we've been getting, i still can't believe it's not even the finale. Sebastian IS an idiot. God. "All i ever wanted was to protect this city" Bitch please! I guess that started with killing your Father and your aunt, or grandmother?? Idr. W/e he killed his family members. lol
Thea shocked the hell outta me!! I couldn't believe that. And i'm super nervous for whoever this next person on Slade's list is. I seriously hope it's not Felicity.
Prior connection? Idts. Oliver and Felicity didn't meet til season 1. So i don't see it. But what do i know, i like to stay in the dark. haha...The only reason i believe he's very protective of her is b/c she's his friend (and he's secretly in love with her, hahahaha i'm kidding, not really, haha). I just don't want her to get attacked. And for the love of god can someone get this woman some jeans!! We're going into a war next week!! I don't want her wearing a dress or skirt.
It's going to be Sara. Slade has history with her and has been emphasized in the flashbacks. If it were not for Sara, then there would be no choice to be made that would cause the death of Shadow. Slade has no read clue who Felicity is, and I highly doubt she is of much importance to him. I think they will keep her alive because there are still more secrets about her that need to be revealed and she is the main link to the Flash series. Also Slade doesn't really think Olliver loves Laurel. He confessed to him already that he cheated on her with her sister. He could have easily killed her when he had the chance but chose to reveal the identity of Arrow instead. I think its Sara that will die. Olliver is meant to be with his true love Laurel and she will probably take up the mantel as Black Canary, in honour of her sister. This will also open up Nyssa to being a reoccurring villain as well.
No no, you mean Oliver WILL save her. = P....But c'mon , how do we even know it's a she?? I mean hell it could be Diggle, or Roy, or Quentin. It could be about his bromance bros. lol
Oh, I don't think he's dead, I think she shot someone behind him or maybe it's a flesh wound. Can't believe they'd bring him back (again) just for that
I love Sara too. So i'm PURPOSELY leaving her out of my thoughts. So i also don't want it to be her. (I'm bias with these two women). Slade knows everything about Ollie, including Felicity, even though he hasn't let on. Which is why i think she would be the perfect target. B/c Ollie thinks Felicity is safe.
Sigh. This is all Shado's fault. LOL (J/k) Her and her damn ghostly haunting ways. All this speculation is nice. But i won't feel better til we see it. Smh. I vote, Save Sara, Save Felicity. and DON'T TOUCH THEA!!
it seem like LT Pike plan to give Quentin his detective shield back.....guess he know someone who is capable of leading and I wish he get rid of the uniform! he a detective
Oh Thea, I know you're angry, and it's completely understadable, but please don't kill Malcolm, I need some John Barrowman in my TV, and I really like him on Arrow. Let's hope people here are right and she's shooting someone behind him :P
I think they should have got rid of the flashback for this episode I know it important but I think present day would be better for more action scene and ARGUS must have their own special military team
Sweetie...you know that EDIT button next to the reply and share?? You could use that. To make ONE whole comment, to the ONE person you're speaking to. Then wait for the reply. LOL Just throwing it out there. giving some friendly advice.
As for Quentin and his team they're stuck in that police station for now. They have no choice but to put on vests. If they want to see another day that is. And i usually like the flashbacks, it ties everything together. Only once or twice i felt they were really not needed. This time i felt they were. And every time we get new info that relates to the present time i feel better about it. And that's what these were tonight, for me anyway. Plus i've been DYING waiting for the scene when Ollie shoots Slade in the eye, which i believe we'll have next week, so i'm really looking forward to that.
I totally felt the forshadowing when Sara told Laurel that her name is "the Canary". i was like 'oh shit she's gonna die'... Which would be horrible. I would need some serious recovery time if Sara dies and Laurel tries to take her place. You don't simply replace a trained assassin with a lawyer...
"The person you love the most." You know i just can't get that line out of my head. If it's Felicity that Slade targets that would be crazy. B/c then Oliver would go ballistic. I mean he'd literally be saving "the one he loves the most" (according to Slade) and he doesn't even know he loves her. There's something so poetic about that....i love it. I mean that's like a realization of love, a huge slap in the face, times 100!! LOL
Slade made a comment about the connection between Oliver and Felicity in some episode back. Isabel is asking for Felicity when she confronts Diggle. The "predictable" would be for him to take Sarah down. He only told Laurel about Oliver being the Arrow, he never even threatened her. He had too many chances of killing Thea and never did. Felicity might not be the romantic pair at the moment, but she's the woman closest from Oliver in the present, and he'd be devastated with her death specially cause he would feel he never saw it coming. So, I'm thinking, he goes to kill Felicity, and Sarah see the pain in Oliver, and somehow, pumped up by the idea of becoming a hero, sacrifices herself to save Felicity. Laurel decides to follow the footsteps of sis, Felicity decides never have to be saved again and go on "girl power" mode and toughens up a bit, Oliver disappears for some time, leaving The to be the one in charge of Queen Consolidated (since she's the only one who seems to manage anything), Roy, being a normal guy again, disappears in smoke, and next season starts with a time jump! And Slade is cured, but Amanda is the one who holds him, and after being able to develop some version of Mirakuru that doesn't include delusions and minimizes his invincibility, injects Slade again and he becomes part of the Suicide Squad, which will be the second pilot in-door, in case the Flash doesn't launch like they want. (I'd be mad if they ever killed Slade, I love him, loving to hate him!) BTW, since Felicity was kind of the reason Sarah died, Nisa will come back for vengeance as soon as she's given some power in the League. And when, eventually, she dies, it'll bring the full League over.
A great episode that sets up the finale perfectly. I'm still undecided about Laurel but that scene where she gave Sara a peptalk telling her league name "The Canary" is beautiful was pretty damn heartwarming I have to say.
Felicity was just phenomenal in that clocktower scene with Oliver telling him that he is not alone, to not give up, and that she believes in him. So raw and emotional. Emily Bett Rickards just may have done her best work yet as Felicity in this scene.
LOL at Blood wanting to come to the good side after not agreeing to Slade's plan. So glad he died.
There is absolutely no way Malcolm is dead. The writers wouldn't just have him appear for two episodes in the season and then have him be gone the next. And plus, Barrowman already has announced that he will be in the finale so hopefully he survives next week and stays on the show.
I get that she was shocked by the attack and that Merlyn was a live. But if I just felt the sequence between Merlyn and Thea took too long. Given what was happening, Merlyn's protection seemed like the smarter choice than goinng it alone.
Doesn't make her stupid, it makes her emotional and human. Malcolm is a monster and near psychopath who killed hundreds of people, including his son (yes accidentally but he's still guilty). It would her dumber just going with him without a second thought.
"Thea to be the one in charge of Queen Consolidated (since she's the only one who seems to manage anything),"
LOL.
I like Sara so I don't want her to die, or sacrifice herself for anyone, but that's a great scenario. I wouldn't mind Felicity getting some more "girl power" skills though.
I agree that at this point it's mostly likely Felicity since she's the one looking scared and bedraggled in the promo, while Laurel is throwing a punch.
I don't think Malcolm would let Thea out of his sight and Sara is in the midst of the battle and probably trying to keep Laurel safe.
i never read the comic book and people said that in the comic Laurel was the Canary and on a Arrow Youtube video someone posted to me a site where it says Laurel in the show is next. that Sara comes in as Canary first then its Laurel. She really did well with Olivers Bow i mean i was almost gonna hide my eyes.
She didn't shoot Merlyn, is my guess, but one of Slade's thugs which was behind him. Notice we didn't see who she shot at, but just in Merlyn's direction.
They have been keeping Felicity very much in the Background - that makes me really afraid for her. BTW slomotion watching I saw a scene where Sara was drowning - but I think it's from the flashbacks.
THAT WAS AWESOOOOME!! So many things happened so many people dying lately I'm really scared for the finale next week, even if I hope Slade is gonna hit the dust, I think Sara will die too. They're going to do a parallel with the flashbacks as we know Sara is supposed to "die" in front of Oliver on the island.
So much action, this season is awesome beyond words, every episode just upped the stacks, the action and the overall awesomeness.
Isobel is the only person I have noticed that has been injected with the Mirakuru and is still not crazy, she seems to have more control over herself than Roy, but only time will tell, maybe she will go crazy too, but i liked how Fleicity hot her with the car and she just got back up.
I'm really happy Malcolm Meryln is back, I really like his character, hope he can stay for next season.
Sara is awesome as usual in this episode, she's a hero, she's the Canary, and she can't die, I really hope not, but I see why she would.
Bring on the finale, i can't wait, literally wanna watch it now!
Isabel is also crazy; she is thrilled with the destruction of the city and working with Slade instead of her original intent, which is to control Queen's company and make it rise up in power and authority. She is not herself, but has gone into vengeance mode as well.
Well, the thing is, I don't know what they plan to do with her. She has taken the place of two different characters from the DC universe. One absolutely hates Oliver and wants the company for herself. The other is the daughter of Slade who eventually becomes a hero. I guess they could still use the combination and have Isabel, once free from the mirakuru, convert to the side of Oliver for his help with her (to save her from herself) and she becomes a helper within the company itself?
Oh yeah, possibly, I guess both are possible, but it depends, she doesn't seem to be in the saving mode at this moment, but she could come around. It seems like she could die in the finale though at the hands of Nyssa and Sara.
Great episode! This whole bombing the city reminds me way too much of the nuke in the Avengers though. I'm really wondering what's gonna happen. We don't have an Iron Man here. Anyone willing to fly?
That was awesome! Glad Sebastian Blood is dead, he has been around for too long. Malcolm was very underused in the episode, but the end was shocking! I hope and think he didn't really die and joins forces with Oliver to fight Slade. And of course have Malcolm around for season 3.
Given the fact this is a comic book series, I wouldn't even count Blood dead yet. He could be wounded, dying, but someone finds his body and saves his life.
I agree with pretty much everything everyone commented about this episode. It was awesome in so many levels, i couldn't move. I would also like to remark that Laurel did a good job shooting the bomb arrow without looking phony (people really need to stop freaking out over promo pics). Her scene with Sara was also great, Laurel has come a long way since the beginning of the season, she's way more likeable. Felicity should've hit Isabel with the van many times. What a b*tch, hate her. Malcom was great, but i hope Thea killed him, i think it would bring a whole new dimension to her character and I love a show with high stakes.
That all seems depressingly plausible. I'm really tired of them fridging one (usually female) character as motivation for someone else. Killing off Sara is an incredibly trite thing to do, but all signs point to it being where they're going.
There was nobody behind him and her eyes didn't convert somewhere else either. I watched that scene 3 times last night. Her eyes were planted on Malcolm. And that gun never moved. So unless Malcolm ducked to tie his shoe and she shot at someone directly behind him, iI'm saying she was definitely shooting at him. I'm not saying Malcolm is dead. I'm saying that gun nor her eyes moved in any other direction. It stayed forward in his direction. It would really surprise me if he couldn't hear a super soldier coming even if he was the one talking.
We didn't see anyone behind, but they could have easily rushed in, we saw how fast they are. We see Merlyn coming, then we have time as we see her pointing the gun: there is the time for someone to come, and show up. And we assume she was pointing directly, but she could be pointing to his side a bit, just in case so not to shoot by accident. I am just saying, this is typical misdirection based upon perception, done all the time.
I saw that. It was a flashback with Sara and Ollie. I think Felicity has had a decent amount of screen time lately. Sure it went down a little. But not VERY. The writer's wouldn't DARE kill her off. I could see her being in danger though. I just don't want it to be her, but seeing as how Isabel is gunning for her, for some UNKNOWN reason, makes me think she is the target. MY issue is, is she the target b/c of Isabel or is she the target b/c of Slade??? Dum dum dum. LOL No but seriously Isabel and Slade might be working together but Isabel could have her own vendetta. Felicity may be Isabel's target, but that doesn't mean she's Slade's target too. Oh god, i don't want to think about this anymore. Hahaha I'm done.
She sure wasn't. She pointed STRAIGHT at him. Merlyn wasn't coming anywhere, He was standing there talking. The ONLY way someone would've came up behind him, if it was that Soldier he took out and came to, and just got up and stood up right behind him. It would be pretty difficult to NOT see one of those guys from 7 feet away. But watch, watch next week, they'll probably edit the scene to make it look like she inched the gun. (rolls eyes). They do that allll the time. It's totally typical for a show to do that. But what if they weren't typical? THAT i'd get on board with.
The other options, which is also typical with shows like this, is that Merlyn is wearing super-powerful suit of body armor which protects him from gunshots. Of course, I think that is less likely, I just presume they will show us she shot at someone else, because of how typical that outcome is in shows like this. I'm not saying it is best, of course.
Well of course they're not going to make it some random girl, but actually someone that would make (somewhat) sense. And if you think about it from Slade's point of view, it points to Felicity.
This isn't RL. lmao I'm not saying he wouldn't get hurt or grazed, i'm saying it would be stupid of him not to be wearing some Kevlar vest altogether. But it's also not going to bounce off his outfit like Superman's body either.
Yes, of course it isn't "RL." Which also goes with your interpretation of the "shot" being "aimed directly." However, even then I'm saying, this show tries to put a semi-real world aspect to it.
When they focused on his hand when he hugged her and when he put it on her shoulder and when he took her from Dig and carried her himself it was so obvious that they are emphasizing their connection (and sadly I don't mean that in a romantic way) to show us how close they are and how hurt and mad Oliver would be if anything happens to her.
Exactly. Which also goes with my "I'm not saying he wouldn't get hurt or grazed and it's also not going to bounce off his outfit like Superman's body either." Statement. Regarding your "this show tries to put a semi-real world aspect to it." I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she shot at Malcolm intentionally. But given that this IS in fact a comic book series, they would try to trick us out. Which i hate half the time. "The old sike out." I mean c'mon, he could take a bullet. LOL i'd rather they she shot him.
I'm sorry, but while i was reading all that i was replaying all the scenes back in my head, and smiling like a fool. LOL I couldn't help it. I hope you weren't expecting a serious comment from me after all that, cuz i got nothing. LOL SWOON!
You do realize that that's the same dude that got an arrow shoved in his chest and months later was up and about killing people and feeling perfectly fine like he was shot with cupid's arrow. It doesn't matter if his suit is bulletproof or not or if Thea shot him or not he is not gonna die he is like a damned cockroach LOL
Yesss!! But then again, she could just take those off. Haha. But i'd rather see her wearing sneakers or boots. Like some Tims so she can bust someone's face open. However, i do think we've seen her wear sneakers before, which is always a nice break.
He's not invincible to bullets. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually came back B/C of the Lazarus Pit. Now that would be a helluva twist. I would LOVEEEE that. But the reason i said he needs to be wearing a vest is b/c, that's who he is!!! He's an assassin! His sword (or arrow) isn't going to block everything bullet that comes his way....hence his outfit. Like Batman's outfit. Or The Incredibles, lol or any other superhero, villain out there, there's always something special about their uniforms......Cockroach huh?? Soooo you're saying if they chop his head off he'll still walk around for 7 days?? I'd like to test that theory. LOL
HA! U were? That's funny. I OTOH was just holding my breath. Lol I didn't know what else to do. But I was in serious mode right along with both of them. God I can't wait til next week!! Then again I can, b/c it's the last one before thaT months hiatus. = (
That was awesome. My only problem was that the episode was way too short! Felicity knocking down Isobel and then asking Diggle if she should hit her again, was probably my favorite scene. I'm quite OK with Thea killing Malcolm. He tried to blow up a whole city (for reasons that still escape me), so I'm not really interested in seeing him go through a redemptive arc next season. Regarding Slade's last promise to Oliver: I'm just wondering if Oliver even knows who he loves the most. I'm not sure he does. And if it's Felicity, I'm wondering how Slade would figure that out, Oliver hasn't really done anything to make Slade think that it's anyone other than Sara or Laurel. I was surprised that Isobel didn't know about Shadu or the real reason for Slade's vendetta against Oliver. If had a quarter for ever time Oliver blamed himself for something else,...then I would have a lot of quarters...I suppose. Sebastian Blood has a very strange way of showing his love for the city. I almost felt sorry for him at the very end....almost. I will definitely miss this show when it goes on hiatus.
I was and I kept telling myself STOP THAT things are way too serious right now stay focused and then I compose my face two seconds later I'm grinning like an idiot again :D LOL except for when she was getting close to him at the end of her speech when she said she was sure of two things I held my breath too and kept saying please don't say you love him, please don't say you love him, not now not there NOT LIKE THIS. Yeah that's the worst part about finales they're awesome but they suck at the same time because they have cliffhangers and we have to wait for months.
IKR? But why would Slade think that? As far as he's concern the person that Oliver loves the most is either: Laurel the girl he kept talking about and called from the island or Sarah the girl he was with on the boat and the one he choose over Shado.
I don't think Merlyn is going through redemption next season. He's a major villain in the Green Arrow comics. However, I highly doubt he is dead. Part of his arc will be to make Thea an accomplice.
I think it's important to remember that Slade's idea of 'love' might be what we might typically think. He loved Shado, yet they never had a sexual relationship. It was more friendship - the way Oliver and Felicity's relationship is at the moment. So Slade might see that and see the parallels between those relationships.
The part the throw's me is that the person who Slade targets is "unexpected" - I would't say that Sara, Laurel or Felicity would be unexpected.
terribly written, cliche... "Who are you? I'm her father"... "who is she?"- "she is canary" and other moronic lines like this.
Who that Amanda thinks she is? She blocks all the bridges to the city and says it will be crater...Why destroying the city? Because a group of supersoldiers run there like crazy? Its not like they are walking nukes! They are strong but not unstoppable...Instead of trying to kill them or at least evacuate civilians she wants to destroy the city...And all of a sudden Arrow has a phone number to call her...
Last season that crazy device was real threat, those masked guys are not so strong to destroy the whole city!
I don't know if the writers often look this website , but if they do , i have a message for them - TAKE all the time (well not too much tho ) , make a good story/transition and at the end , but
I rewatch the last night episode and i don't know if the writers often look this website , but if they do , i have a message for them - TAKE all the time (well not too much tho ) , make a good story/transition , but at the end , OLICITY must happen.
I didn't understand that question and answer, either. We know perfectly well why Sara returned to Starling - she's brought reinforcements in the form of Nyssa and the LoA to fight Slade's army.
I agree that the scenes between the Lance sisters were great, by the way. This is what it should've been like all along, focusing on the relationship between these two instead of how Oliver is stuck in the middle of it.
I really enjoyed this ep. Yes, Mayor Blood. When you lie down with dogs you wake up with fleas. Wow. My big question..why not give us the scene where Blood stole (was handed?) the cure. Can't figure out why Slade would *give* the stuff to Oliver since Oliver's plan is to rid Slade of his army. So I'm not seeing how it's a trap. So, that has me really curious. Glad Sara reappeared. I'm back to wondering if she's going to survive the season. Looking forward to next week!
I watched the scene again. I think Laurel is asking Sara about the last 5 years she has been away and not the last few days that she had been mia. Coz she asks "where have you been?" And then "why did you come back?". That would make sense. Still Sara's answer was way too dramatic since we know she came back to keep an eye on her family on the wake of the earthquake.
I guess someone unexpected would be perhaps the son/daughter that he doesn't know about yet? Unless his dad turns out to be alive (it seems to happen a lot in this show). Or Diggle,...Nah! I think Felicity might be unexpected to him, but not to us.
you are writhe of course, we did have plenty of Felicity, maybe I just can't get enough of her ;-) I'm also guessing that Isabel has a personal Vendetta againts Felicity.
Isabel hated Felicity before Felicity hit her with the van. Felicity hitting her with the van isn't the reason. Felicity doesn't even know that Isabel hates her. Idk what Isabel's issues with Felicity are. For now I can only take it as blind hatred.

wow wow wow!
ReplyDeleteI was shocked with what Thea did at the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEven with all the inside knowledge I have, I still didn't expect 1/3 of the things I saw.
ReplyDeleteI hope Thea didn't succeed.
Next week cant come fast enough.
Just Waouh, Théa surprised me too
ReplyDeleteYa, I am still wondering who slade kidnaps
ReplyDeleteI'm CALLING IT. Thea shot a mirakuru guy behind Malcolm! (at least this is what i'm hoping)
ReplyDeleteI need to know who Oliver loves most….there's a few options there.
ReplyDeleteGood guess!
ReplyDeleteI think that, after the hug they remarked, it's going to be Felicity
ReplyDeletegreat ep!!! People don't forget Thea has a wicked aIm! #season1 #undertaking

ReplyDeleteIt's definitely going to be Felicity.
ReplyDeleteI thought that was a great episode. After some not-so-enjoyable ones, I'm optimistic again.
ReplyDeleteI liked the Laurel/Sara reconciliation this time more than the last one.
ReplyDeleteExclusive: Arrow Boss Sets the Record Straight on Black Canary Casting
www.tvguide.com. READ THIS
It could be that and I'd love it but what with the way CW works and Oliver being a manwhore and the whole thing starting because of Shado, I think Slade's intention is to take someone he loves romantically.
ReplyDeleteI would hope that too. But idk. I would've chucked it up to an accident. But for one bullet, NOT two!
ReplyDeleteI agree with every word you said in that comment, Shannon! Sebastian is an idiot! He had it coming! Thank goodness for Quentin! He's really smart and he is a great guy!
ReplyDeleteI screamed towards the end with Thea!
ReplyDeleteIdk.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't mean Slade kills the person Oliver loves most though Oliver might save her.
ReplyDeleteThere is going to be another reason why Oliver is so protective of Felicity and it will be a big reveal in the finale. I think there is some prior connection between Oliver and Felicity before Season 1 and it might be shown in the flashbacks. Oliver obviously knows this secret but Felicity doesn't.
ReplyDeleteI just read what people reply back to me. So we dont know what's gonna do down. That's why I love the show the writers keeps us in suspense
ReplyDeleteDude! Idr. W/e he killed his family members. lol
ReplyDeleteThea shocked the hell outta me!!
ReplyDeleteThea's kind of an idiot. Not sure which side of the family tree she inherited that from.
ReplyDeleteHow?
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be Sara.
ReplyDeleteAlso Slade doesn't really think Olliver loves Laurel.
It could be about his bromance bros. lol
ReplyDeleteNo?
ReplyDeleteIt was Blood to the city.
ReplyDelete*leans over Malcolms dead body*
ReplyDelete"No"
Oh, I don't think he's dead, I think she shot someone behind him or maybe it's a flesh wound. Can't believe they'd bring him back (again) just for that
ReplyDeleteI love Sara too.
ReplyDeleteSigh. This is all Shado's fault. LOL (J/k) Her and her damn ghostly haunting ways. All this speculation is nice. But i won't feel better til we see it. Smh. I vote, Save Sara, Save Felicity. and DON'T TOUCH THEA!!
I laughed when you mentioned Roy there's no way it would be him but I still believe it's Felicity and he will save her obviously.
ReplyDeleteLOL...i can't wait to see Oliver kick ass if Felicity's the target. I've been waiting for that emotional anger again since he killed The Count.
ReplyDeleteThe "I love you" is from the finale, this wasn't the finale, although it looked like one.
ReplyDeleteit seem like LT Pike plan to give Quentin his detective shield back.....guess he know someone who is capable of leading and I wish he get rid of the uniform! he a detective
ReplyDeleteVery good episode. A bit too much speechifying for my taste though.
ReplyDeleteOh Thea, I know you're angry, and it's completely understadable, but please don't kill Malcolm, I need some John Barrowman in my TV, and I really like him on Arrow. Let's hope people here are right and she's shooting someone behind him :P
ReplyDeleteWell he was just promoted back to Detective 2 seconds ago. It's not like he can go home just to change out of his uniform. Lmao
ReplyDeleteI think they should have got rid of the flashback for this episode I know it important but I think present day would be better for more action scene and ARGUS must have their own special military team
ReplyDeleteMalcolm isn't dead he been confirmed to be in the finale
ReplyDeleteReal talk, who were the 2 people that voted "Awful"?
ReplyDeleteCause I really want to know how can justify been so wrong.
who cares at least 86% of people voted awesome
ReplyDeletewell I guess so but maybe in the finale the police force decide to wear bullet proof might be the best idea
ReplyDeleteThat's good to know, thank you! Ok, so...season 3...:D
ReplyDeleteSweetie...you know that EDIT button next to the reply and share?? You could use that. To make ONE whole comment, to the ONE person you're speaking to. Then wait for the reply. LOL Just throwing it out there. giving some friendly advice.
ReplyDeleteAs for Quentin and his team they're stuck in that police station for now.
Comic book rules: if you don't see a clearly dead body showing the character is dead, he isn't dead. Malcolm Merlyn lives.
ReplyDeleteI guess Kate Spencer will never fulfill her destiny as Manhunter. RIP.
who going to lead the city with the mayor, DA and chief of police dead
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping they killed her so that Laurel can become Manhunter and Sara doesn't have to die.
ReplyDeleteIt's not someone Oliver loves most (that would be his quiver), it's "someone close to Oliver's heart".
ReplyDeleteThat means it could be Thea/Sara/Laurel/Felicity. Or Diggle, since he's been protecting Oliver's heart for a while now.
i was hoping lance became the chief
ReplyDeleteI think Lt Pike would be since he is a high ranking officer
ReplyDeleteI totally felt the forshadowing when Sara told Laurel that her name is "the Canary". i was like 'oh shit she's gonna die'... Which would be horrible. I would need some serious recovery time if Sara dies and Laurel tries to take her place. You don't simply replace a trained assassin with a lawyer...
ReplyDeleteOMG ! THEA WTH! of course he is not an idiot and his vest is bulletproof but damn anyways..
ReplyDeleteI thought i was watching a two hopurs movie, lot of things happen, i dont know what was best,
we don't know where she aiming at.......could be someone behind him
ReplyDelete"The person you love the most." You know i just can't get that line out of my head. LOL
ReplyDeleteDAMN, THIS SHOW IS GOOD!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat points to Felicity:
ReplyDeleteSlade made a comment about the connection between Oliver and Felicity in some episode back.
(I'd be mad if they ever killed Slade, I love him, loving to hate him!)
BTW, since Felicity was kind of the reason Sarah died, Nisa will come back for vengeance as soon as she's given some power in the League. And when, eventually, she dies, it'll bring the full League over.
A great episode that sets up the finale perfectly. I'm still undecided about Laurel but that scene where she gave Sara a peptalk telling her league name "The Canary" is beautiful was pretty damn heartwarming I have to say.
ReplyDeleteFelicity was just phenomenal in that clocktower scene with Oliver telling him that he is not alone, to not give up, and that she believes in him.
ReplyDeleteWell Blood died a hero that is probably what the people will think of him......the truth about him may never come out
ReplyDeleteDoesn't make her stupid, it makes her emotional and human. Malcolm is a monster and near psychopath who killed hundreds of people, including his son (yes accidentally but he's still guilty). It would her dumber just going with him without a second thought.
ReplyDelete"Thea to be the one in charge of Queen Consolidated (since she's the only one who seems to manage anything),"
ReplyDeleteLOL.
ReplyDeleteFor the most part, great. I didn't like what they did with Thea. Nonetheless, I don't think Thea shot at Merlyn at the end, but one of Slade's thugs
ReplyDeleteShe didn't shoot Merlyn, is my guess, but one of Slade's thugs which was behind him. Notice we didn't see who she shot at, but just in Merlyn's direction.
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode, but interesting stuff happened.
ReplyDeleteOk, I love that Felicity got her pep talk and the scene was great - but come on is Oliver going to Need one episode!?!?
ReplyDeleteThey have been keeping Felicity very much in the Background - that makes me really afraid for her. BTW slomotion watching I saw a scene where Sara was drowning - but I think it's from the flashbacks.
ReplyDeleteTHAT WAS AWESOOOOME!! So many things happened so many people dying lately
ReplyDeleteI'm really scared for the finale next week, even if I hope Slade is gonna hit the dust, I think Sara will die too. They're going to do a parallel with the flashbacks as we know Sara is supposed to "die" in front of Oliver on the island.
So much action, this season is awesome beyond words, every episode just upped the stacks, the action and the overall awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteIsobel is the only person I have noticed that has been injected with the Mirakuru and is still not crazy, she seems to have more control over herself than Roy, but only time will tell, maybe she will go crazy too, but i liked how Fleicity hot her with the car and she just got back up.
ReplyDeleteOh right yeah, she's crazy, typos and auto correct, but I kinda like that she's crazy, she suits it.
ReplyDeleteWell, the thing is, I don't know what they plan to do with her.
ReplyDeleteOliver to Laurel : "Stay here"
ReplyDeleteSara to Laurel :"Stay here"
Well in both cases , she didn't listen :) What a good girl ;)
Oh yeah, possibly, I guess both are possible, but it depends, she doesn't seem to be in the saving mode at this moment, but she could come around. It seems like she could die in the finale though at the hands of Nyssa and Sara.
ReplyDeleteShe didn't listen last year and look how that turned out.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode! This whole bombing the city reminds me way too much of the nuke in the Avengers though. I'm really wondering what's gonna happen. We don't have an Iron Man here. Anyone willing to fly?
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome! Glad Sebastian Blood is dead, he has been around for too long. Malcolm was very underused in the episode, but the end was shocking! I hope and think he didn't really die and joins forces with Oliver to fight Slade. And of course have Malcolm around for season 3.
ReplyDeleteGiven the fact this is a comic book series, I wouldn't even count Blood dead yet. He could be wounded, dying, but someone finds his body and saves his life.
ReplyDeleteThat would be an awful twist. He can stay dead. Would be bad too if Ravager did not make sure he died.
ReplyDeleteHaha, i thought the same! Get over it, Oliver!
ReplyDeleteI agree with pretty much everything everyone commented about this episode. It was awesome in so many levels, i couldn't move.
ReplyDeleteI would also like to remark that Laurel did a good job shooting the bomb arrow without looking phony (people really need to stop freaking out over promo pics).
ReplyDeleteThere was nobody behind him and her eyes didn't convert somewhere else either.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't see anyone behind, but they could have easily rushed in, we saw how fast they are.
ReplyDeleteI saw that.
ReplyDeleteBut it doesn't matter what Oliver knows or feels, what matter is what Slade thinks he knows.
ReplyDeleteShe sure wasn't.
ReplyDeleteThe other options, which is also typical with shows like this, is that Merlyn is wearing super-powerful suit of body armor which protects him from gunshots. Of course, I think that is less likely, I just presume they will show us she shot at someone else, because of how typical that outcome is in shows like this. I'm not saying it is best, of course.
ReplyDeleteI already said earlier "according to Slade" but it does matter Oliver feels or Knows. B/c we've seen it before.
ReplyDeleteActually i believe his suit is bulletproof. Lol It would be really stupid of him to wear that and it wasn't bulletproof.
ReplyDeleteIt might be. But bulletproof isn't perfect in real life.
ReplyDeleteWell of course they're not going to make it some random girl, but actually someone that would make (somewhat) sense. And if you think about it from Slade's point of view, it points to Felicity.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't RL. lmao I'm not saying he wouldn't get hurt or grazed, i'm saying it would be stupid of him not to be wearing some Kevlar vest altogether. But it's also not going to bounce off his outfit like Superman's body either.
ReplyDeleteYeah i do see it from his POV, and it makes sense. To me anyway. But i'm also not ruling out the rest of them.
ReplyDeletebromance bros hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteYes, of course it isn't "RL." Which also goes with your interpretation of the "shot" being "aimed directly." However, even then I'm saying, this show tries to put a semi-real world aspect to it.
ReplyDeleteWhen they focused on his hand when he hugged her and when he put it on her shoulder and when he took her from Dig and carried her himself it was so obvious that they are emphasizing their connection (and sadly I don't mean that in a romantic way) to show us how close they are and how hurt and mad Oliver would be if anything happens to her.
ReplyDeleteOr heels.
ReplyDelete= P
ReplyDeleteExactly.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but while i was reading all that i was replaying all the scenes back in my head, and smiling like a fool. LOL I couldn't help it. I hope you weren't expecting a serious comment from me after all that, cuz i got nothing. LOL SWOON!
ReplyDeleteYou do realize that that's the same dude that got an arrow shoved in his chest and months later was up and about killing people and feeling perfectly fine like he was shot with cupid's arrow. It doesn't matter if his suit is bulletproof or not or if Thea shot him or not he is not gonna die he is like a damned cockroach LOL
ReplyDeleteYesss!! But then again, she could just take those off. Haha. But i'd rather see her wearing sneakers or boots. Like some Tims so she can bust someone's face open. However, i do think we've seen her wear sneakers before, which is always a nice break.
ReplyDeletehahahahahahaha don't worry I'm not, actually I was grinning the entire clock tower scene even though it was SO serious and tragic.
ReplyDeleteHe's not invincible to bullets. LOL
ReplyDeleteHA! U were? That's funny. I OTOH was just holding my breath. Lol I didn't know what else to do. But I was in serious mode right along with both of them. God I can't wait til next week!! Then again I can, b/c it's the last one before thaT months hiatus. = (
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome. My only problem was that the episode was way too short!
ReplyDeleteFelicity knocking down Isobel and then asking Diggle if she should hit her again, was probably my favorite scene.
BEYOND AMAZING!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was and I kept telling myself STOP THAT things are way too serious right now stay focused and then I compose my face two seconds later I'm grinning like an idiot again :D LOL except for when she was getting close to him at the end of her speech when she said she was sure of two things I held my breath too and kept saying please don't say you love him, please don't say you love him, not now not there NOT LIKE THIS. Yeah that's the worst part about finales they're awesome but they suck at the same time because they have cliffhangers and we have to wait for months.
ReplyDelete"Cockroach huh?? Soooo you're saying if they chop his head off he'll still walk around for 7 days?? I'd like to test that theory. LOL"
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Remember when they went to Russia it was so obvious then that she hates Felicity I'm not sure why but she's been gunning for her for along time.
ReplyDeleteIKR? But why would Slade think that? As far as he's concern the person that Oliver loves the most is either: Laurel the girl he kept talking about and called from the island or Sarah the girl he was with on the boat and the one he choose over Shado.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Merlyn is going through redemption next season. He's a major villain in the Green Arrow comics. However, I highly doubt he is dead. Part of his arc will be to make Thea an accomplice.
ReplyDeleteI think it's important to remember that Slade's idea of 'love' might be what we might typically think. He loved Shado, yet they never had a sexual relationship. It was more friendship - the way Oliver and Felicity's relationship is at the moment. So Slade might see that and see the parallels between those relationships.
ReplyDeleteThe part the throw's me is that the person who Slade targets is "unexpected" - I would't say that Sara, Laurel or Felicity would be unexpected.
terribly written, cliche...
ReplyDelete"Who are you? I'm her father"...
"who is she?"- "she is canary"
and other moronic lines like this.
He would think that because Isabel spent a whole year with the two of them and was Slade's inside-men so of course she noticed things!
ReplyDeleteWhat a crazy rollercoaster ride!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for next week and dayum, that was a great episode.
I don't know if the writers often look this website , but if they do , i have a message for them
ReplyDelete- TAKE all the time (well not too much tho ) , make a good story/transition and at the end , but
I rewatch the last night episode and i don't know if the writers often look this website , but if they do , i have a message for them
ReplyDelete- TAKE all the time (well not too much tho ) , make a good story/transition , but at the end , OLICITY must happen.
Thank you ;)
I didn't understand that question and answer, either. We know perfectly well why Sara returned to Starling - she's brought reinforcements in the form of Nyssa and the LoA to fight Slade's army.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the scenes between the Lance sisters were great, by the way. This is what it should've been like all along, focusing on the relationship between these two instead of how Oliver is stuck in the middle of it.
I like to add I like the scene where Quetin corrects Pike by using "the arrow" instead of Vigilante...about time the police using his true name
ReplyDeleteI made the same call. If she'd shot Malcolm that would have been the final shot of the ep.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this ep.
ReplyDeleteI watched the scene again.
ReplyDeleteI guess someone unexpected would be perhaps the son/daughter that he doesn't know about yet? Unless his dad turns out to be alive (it seems to happen a lot in this show). Or Diggle,...Nah! I think Felicity might be unexpected to him, but not to us.
ReplyDeleteyou are writhe of course, we did have plenty of Felicity, maybe I just can't get enough of her ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm also guessing that Isabel has a personal Vendetta againts Felicity.
I think so too. And i would really like to know what it is. I think Isabel just hates Felicity for no reason at all honestly.
ReplyDeletewhat does Isabel have against Felicity beside her getting hit by a van
ReplyDeleteIsabel hated Felicity before Felicity hit her with the van. Felicity hitting her with the van isn't the reason. Felicity doesn't even know that Isabel hates her. Idk what Isabel's issues with Felicity are. For now I can only take it as blind hatred.
