  1. Loved the ending with Canning coming back and what is essentially the end for Peter and Alicia!

Whether you liked it or not, Will's death really has turned the whole series on its head in a lot of very interesting ways, and I think the show will be better for it.

  2. I am LOVING Matthew Goode. I'm glad they made the decision to keep him around. Can't wait to see what Canning stirs up. He's one of my absolutely favorite recurring guests. And Will's death is still a sharp pang, but we're getting some really fantastic stuff out of it. The acting has really stepped up a notch, and there's a palpable weight to the episodes. Amazing.

    Wow, that was incredible.

  4. I agree. The death hit me hard but the writers are really making it count and the cast is really delivering. There's nothing worse in a show than when a major death gets glossed over or the ripple effects don't spread as far as they should.

  5. It was a great episode. Good to see Michael... ah... now which one do I mean? Actually both. Good to see Michael Cerveris again and Michael J. Fox as well. I missed those episodes. I guess I should start from the beginning...

  6. Amen to that. I love even the tiny details they're adding, everything is very well thought through. And yes for Alicia finally giving Peter what he deserved. I personally think their marriage is beyond repair, but even if the writers want to give it a go in the future, they NEED to be honest about their feelings.

  7. The Good Wife has good writers but they keep doing this rinse and repeat cycle - Kalinda will sleep with man/woman for information, Alicia will do her Ice Queen suffering act, Peter will act like a douche, Diane will bond with Alicia (temporarily), David Lee will try to overthrow Diane, Canning will show up and be annoying, Lockhart Gardner and Florrick Argos will go to battle again, etc.
This show needs some growth because to be honest while I still love it, the show has become repetitive (leading to boring and predictable). I thought Will's death would move the show in a new direction but it is still back to basics.
My favorite drama shows are in the same predicament so it is not only The Good Wife.

The acting is amazing since Will's death. I am missing him in every episode but loving where this is going.

  9. I can say there are a few shows that earned my complete trust for the decision made and TGW is definitely one of them.

The shifts in allegiance, love, friendship due to timing, self preservation and spite is amazing to watch.

One day a friend, the next a foe.

  10. Another great episode. Matthew Goode is a great addition to the cast. I really miss Will, but rhe way the writers are dealing with his death, deserves commendation. And I'm glad that they didn't gloss over Alicia, Dianne and Kalinda would take his death.

I agree with the poster who mentioned that certain characters are stuck in a time warp...Alicia and Peter come to mind, but the lack of direction with Kalinda's character bugs me the most I admire her loyalty to Will and Dianne, but I'd love to see her have a little more character development, rather than constantly getting involved in relationships where she deceives the other person. I flike that they've developed Cary's character a little more, but I think it would be nice to see him break out of the Kalinda cycle too (I don't get why the writers insist on pairing those two together).

Great acting by every single cast member, as usual. Especially Alicia, Diane, Cary and David Lee. I think Julianne M. deserves an Emmy for her performance.

  11. I really hope that Peter and Alicia are over for good now, I never liked them together. Separating so they can still benefit from each other professionally is hopefully the first step in Alicia finally divorcing his ass.

Maybe if it turns out that Peter did know about the voter fraud and he resigns she will? Otherwise he could be on his way to the White House, although I really hope not!!!

  12. Amazing, as always!

  14. From a political standpoint, I think Peter has zero chances of ever becoming president. Alicia would have to become his safe harbour and she is not willing to do that. Being the governor's wife, as she said, is good for her career. Being FLOTUS means she has no career. I personally don't think a divorcee has any chances in the White House atm (which is stupid, but, well, democracy, so over rated *Frank Underwood mode on*).

  15. Exclusive: Here are some major spoilers for the rest of the season:
    - Alicia will take a week off to tell her children everything about her years in law school and how she met Will Gardner.
    - To honour Will's memory, Cary will have to become someone else, something else... So he'll go on a desert island for 5 years to hone his skills as a lawyer.
    - Kalinda will discover that she's not an ordinary human, but a succubus, a magical creature who has to feed off of sexual energy to survive.
    - Diane will be haunted by regret (that she never told Will she loved him) and jealousy that he chose Alicia over her. So when she stumbles upon a spell to go back in time, she enacts it, hoping that she can make Will fall in love with her instead.
    - Alicia's mother will marry David Lee, but at the wedding, he'll be poisoned by Carey (with an E), who just wants to get David's corner office. David Lee's final words will be "I want a divorce!"
    - After being trained in the art of vengeance by a mysterious Japanese sensei, Tammy will come back to exact revenge on Alicia for stealing Will and then breaking his heart.
    - Colin Sweeney will become a cannibal and will literally start eating his wives/mistresses.
    - After a tip from a journalist digging into Alicia's past, Eli will discover that Zach's real father is Owen, Alicia's brother.
    - Peter will turn out to have an illegitimate daughter, who'll hold a press conference in the season finale.
    - Zach's experiments in the IT world will have cataclysmic consequences when he inadvertently cuts the power out around the globe.
Tune in next season to watch the drama unfold!
