- So the travelers have Stefan hostage in an auto salvage lot? That's a new one. - Looks like Caroline gets back to Stefan by nightfall but I see no Enzo and no doppelganger. - Damon & Elena visit Jeremy at high school where the new witch Liv (who goes to college 2 hrs away) attacks Elena in the wood shop room? Mmkay. That girl went from zero to troublemaker in no time flat.
Doubt it. Elena and Damon are supposed to go to Jeremy's school in this episode and that's where they are. Caroline and Enzo are sent to Atlanta to retrieve the new doppelganger.
I remember in Season 1 Jeremy lied to Jenna and she he was going early to school for woodshop (to get out of the house when he went to see Vicky in the hospital). Elena told Jenna that there was no wood-shop at their school, but they appear to be in the wood-shop classroom. More and more retcons on this show.
Either all of these are from Episode 16 and not 17, or the first photo is just another perspective of a shot mistakenly used to promote the wrong episode. Maybe all of the photos that were used to promote Episode 16 are actually from Episode 17. It looks like people are working really hard to keep Episode 16 under wraps until tonight's episode airs, possibly due to extreme spoiler potential. Then again, the synopsis for Episode 17 is so long that it might include plots from both 16 and 17 as an error.
Elena looks like she's working in an auto repair shop, which leads me to believe that she decided to live with the Travelers at some point. Her haircut reminds me a little too much of Nadia. Maybe that's the new doppelganger. What I really don't understand is who that woman is that Damon appears to be saving from Liv, unless he was just breaking up a fight. I don't get why he would care, though, unless he knows whoever appears to have been under attack. I have a couple of ideas who that woman might be. I don't think she's Enzo's love interest, who isn't supposed to show up for a couple of episodes. I still can't figure out why Sloan would want to attack Stefan's brain, unless there's something in his head that can help her find more doppelgangers. The part about Enzo in the synopsis could be a typo. Caroline might travel to Atlanta with Stefan.
It just occurred to me that Bonnie might decide to change bodies to escape feeling the death of every supernatural. Of course, she would have to find a way to keep her body from dying once she left it, to prevent the Other Side from being destroyed.
To be fair all that was said was "there is no wood-shop" and no more detail than that. It could have just meant that Jeremy wasn't taking any wood-shop classes that point. Also, that was a couple years ago, so it's possible that the school just started one recently. So while it certainly could be a retcon (although let's be honest a very minor one), it's also possible that it's not.
That's the picture I was wondering about. Are you sure that's Elena in front of the sign? The girl's clothes look similar, but her hair is too long and dark. The close-up of Elena in another photo could be the real Elena or another doppelganger who is supposed to have surfaced. Whatever goes down with Liv, even if it has to be in the wood shop of all places, will probably happen near the end of the episode. I'm curious to see if something will happen in tonight's episode that will lead to someone else going into Elena's body, and Elena might show up or be found in another body. It's possible that Jeremy, out of frustration or fear, will make a deal with Liv in Episode 17 to pull another body switch without mentioning it to Elena, who is supposed to already be traumatized. That from her own brother would devastate her. It looks like whatever Liv is going to try to do, Damon will put a stop to it.
Looks like they're finding other dopplegangers for the travelers to use to protect Stefan and Elena. Cause Elena is in one picture with long hair and short hair and a confused look in another. She's definitely another doppleganger. The writers did say a while back we'd see another Stefan doppleganger.. I guess it only makes sense there's another Elena one. Especially since they freaking killed Amara and Katherine(far superior characters btw- no doubt whoever this other one is probably is better too but let's just go ahead and offer her up as the sacrifice so poor Elena doesn't get hurt. It's different for Stefan because hey… Stefan's awesome and epic and perfect.. although I do really miss Silas. Anyways.. anyone Paul plays is awesome. And everyone Nina plays is awesome except Elena.. who actually used to be pretty awesome). Sorry I'm having rage issues about them killing Katherine still. And Nadia. Like way to kill the cool Petrovas. There was so much potential with both of them, especially Nadia. But I like the symmetry that in the end they both spent their whole life(500 freaking years) doing 1 thing. Katherine- running, Nadia- chasing her. Maybe if Nadia had found her sooner.. Blah I'm just never going to get over the possibilities and this new storyline seems like it's going to SUCK.
I agree it doesn't look like Elena at all but she's also infected with the ripper virus so it could be either or I really hope there's not another one of her or Stephen enough already you can only recycle the same plot so many times lmao
But also in the wood shop scene it appears that Elena is scared of Damon and liv she's hugging the wall pretty tight so with both of those photos I think ur right it's another Elena doppelgänger so boring
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
What's going on in that first photo?

ouch yes!
ReplyDeleteIsn't the 2nd pic the one of the new doppelganger? It doesn't look like Elena based on the hair and the attitude....

The sign about Elena's head says "Woodshop" so I assumed it was her and Damon at Jeremy's parent-teacher conference.
