2 sneak peeks and a producer's preview all beating the same dead horse. Klaus wants to kill Rebekah. We get it. Isn't there anything else going on in this damn episode?
Why the hell hasn't Marcel left town yet? Klaus should kill him as soon as he gets out of that cemetery. What the hell is she talking about looking over her shoulder? She was the person who called Mikael in the first place - so it didn't look to me like she was running from him and that Mikael was only after Klaus - not her. In fact Mikael told her that he was only after Klaus in Season 3 of TVD and she seemed to know that was true and was cool with Mikael killing him.
Unfortunately, you're probably right. Except for the mention of Marcel making a deal with Genevieve and Rebekah bonding with Hayley, this will likely be one long temper tantrum of an episode.
You just answered your own question. Marcel hasn't left because Klaus isn't out of the cemetery yet. He still has time to try to figure out a way out of this.
Ugh, i swear they bore me. Individually, I can TOLERATE Marcel (to an extent) Rebekah, i love by herself, but them together, I can't. Let's get this episode over with.
Yay for Rebekah for deciding not to run. Davina is back from the dead, bummer. The show was better without her. I've reached my limit with the writers as far as Klaus is concerned. He was better on The Vampire Diaries. The producers should put Klaus back on TVD, do something with Tyler or lose him, and let Elijah run the show in New Orleans. Then people who only watch TO don't need to complain. Joseph Morgan is even still listed as a TVD cast member on cwtv.com. That should be taken as a sign. There is so much that can be done differently without destroying a character or any shows, or even breaking contracts now that TVD has introduced traveler mythology. I'll watch this episode to give people the benefit of the doubt, and I usually am pleasantly surprised, but Klaus needs to leave New Orleans somehow by the end of the season. Enough is enough.
But I think Marcel should have been running for the hills now since he'd have a head-start. I actually like Marcel a lot less now than I did initially - he's just so inconsistent as a character and I can't understand his decisions/motivations a lot of the time and I just want him gone.
If you you want him gone that's fine (Me, I'm neutral on the guy. I can take him or leave him.) but he's been making his motivations clear for at least a few episodes now. He doesn't want to go anywhere without Rebekah or Davina. They're the only two people he cares about.
The show will be destroyed anyway if the writers keep moving in this direction. There's only so much of that kind of thematic material that people can watch, unless they're seriously disturbed. If the character destruction and unsettling stories continue to escalate, people will inevitably stop watching, the show will lose ratings, and the CW network will be forced to take it off the air.
Davina maybe - but he was responsible for Rebekah leaving town in the first place (he made a deal with Mikael). He also had zero interest in her until he wanted to use her to try to bury Klaus alive so I don't believe that he actually loves Rebekah. He also could have undaggered her back in the day and apparently chose not to - if I'm remembering correctly.
- The Mikael incident was 95 years ago. - Marcel has made multiple plays for Rebekah and has attempted to get back in her good graces numerous times throughout the season. - Caring about someone doesn't mean a person always does the right or unselfish thing. People, especially vampires, are extremely messed up.
I think your desire to rid the show of Marcel is coloring your view of things.
I must be seriously disturbed then because right now the show is great. Much better than the show it spun off from at this point. And the whole idea of it being fast paced and grand/epic type stories get people in.Like The Originals and Teen Wolf really know how to pull you in. I'm pretty sure TO and SPN has made Tuesdays the best ratings of the day in YEARS. And it's only got better imo. And nah, Julie Plec wouldn't kill Klaus. She not only loves that character too much, it would also end The Vampire Diaries as well. Seeing as how she has already stated Klaus is the sire of their bloodline over there in Mystic Falls. She could retcon it to being Elijah or Rebekka but it would be a cop out and everyone would know it. Now it would be interesting if that link were broken from them all, so that we could legit say "Oh well he could die, and it wouldn't affect the other show." Not to mention Klaus is a fan favorite.
But really, Killing off Klaus in this show would be like killing off Elena in TVD permanently. Or killing off Sam or Dean permanently in Supernatural. This isn't A Song of Fire and Ice. The Originals has been stated to be Klaus's redemption story. I hardly see him dying in the middle of his redemption story. Even with the bloodline thing out of the way the only thing you could hope for is it happens at the end.
JoMo seems to enjoy doing The Originals. And Julie seems to be fine with giving him time to be in movies. He has two roles coming up in two films(Ironically one of them happens in NO. Boy wouldn't that be something for Klaus to run in to lol)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteProbably not.

ReplyDeleteMy guess is there is but it's too spoilery (or at least I hope so)
ReplyDeleteam I the only one that thinks that the three originals should be in that final Originals title card ? Not only Klaus ?
ReplyDeleteYou oppose anything promotional (title cards, posters, promo photos) that features Klaus by himself.

ReplyDeleteCould be a good pair Cole & Davina

ReplyDeleteI'm 99.9% sure taking Klaus off the show would destroy it.
