The king is complaining of headaches? Hmmm maybe he has a brain tumor. Would explain why he's becoming crazier and crazier. The temperament of a person can change dramatically because of it.
As soon as Greer got that letter, I had a feeling her family had arranged a marriage for her, so it felt bittersweet when Leith told her he thought she would be the one to end things between them, and then it was revealed that, technically, she had.
If Lola wants to keep her baby AND manage to not embarrass her family, she should have been more interested in a marriage of convenience with the gay count than waiting for Mr. Right. He didn't seem like a bad man...and maybe passing her child off as his would have been a relief to him lol. The longer she waits, the less likely anyone will buy that her child belongs to her husband. It's already been a few months and her dress size has already gone up.
Kenna...I feel like the king just might kill her. Unless Henry forces Bash to marry her as opposed to Lola (the popular prediction). It would be icky, but it would keep her there for him to play with and she would get the husband he promised her.
I can't blame Mary for feeling desperate to get Lola married/away from Francis. I would have done the same in her shoes, only I wouldn't have backed down. In fact, I probably would have ordered Lola back to Scotland or something by now. Letting her stay at the castle is risky and I cringed over the guards and servants they were passing while talking about the baby.
The Darkness looked awfully human to me...and I'm a little surprised dragging a woman through the snow didn't leave a trail. Also, I was a little annoyed that Rowan drugged Bash. I get she thought she was saving him from himself, but wouldn't it have been better to let him try to defend them instead of letting TD pick them off?
On the whole, it was a pretty good episode. Felt a smidge fillery as far as plot movement goes, but at least everyone had something to do. Can't even remember the last time I saw Leith and Greer together or when Greer was doing something besides attending to Mary...now the only helpful lady might be leaving lol
Why didnt they show Greer's soont to be husband, it was a little bit sa cause she really liked his baker boy but at the end she tried to help him as much as she could. I found Mary and Lola's scenes hilarious i dunno why but she was so jealous and was willing to do anything to keep Lola away that i found it funny. King Henry is getting more and more interesting i'm scared of Kenna now.
About Lola.....Exactly!! She should have talked to him more. If he was needing a sham wife and child he may have been on board with her situation anyway. She can't be a single mother in the royal court. I hope they don't plan on keeping her around as Francis other woman. I would not like Mary if she condoned that. And yes, when they were discussing it and walking past guards I cringed. Way to keep in on the down low girls.
I find it understandable that she wants to fall in love and everything but her decisions and the position that she finds herself in, she doesn't have that luxury. She doesn't want to be stuck in court, but the only way out now is to marry some guy before people find out about her pregnancy. She doesn't have much time left. I also wished Mary would have stuck to her ultimatum with Lola. Get married or tell Francis. When she told Lola I'm sorry, you don't have to marry the dude, when she went back on her ultimatum, I feel she fully then accepted to keep lieing to Francis. And yes! Them talking so care free about the baby while walking past the guards and others, I was like what? Do you want everyone one to know!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteMy suspicions as well. I definitely think he will die soon.

ReplyDeleteI think because he will be the dark stranger that Lola will fall in love with that Nostradamus predicted in episode 2 or 3.
