I felt so bad for Monroe when he was in tears talking to his parents. I'm glad they seemed to hae come around at the end! LOL at them all eating together.
Oh shit at whatever this bad thing is supposed to be. Maybe the baby?
I personally thought that this was an awesome episode, and I loved Silas' acting in the scene where Monroe was talking to his parents and he started crying. Silas is such a talented actor. I'm also glad that Monroe's dad came around at least a little bit at the end of the episode. The dinner scene at the end of the episode was pure awesomeness and classic Grimm. I loved it when Nick grabbed the knife and told everybody to calm down, lol. Grimm is such an awesome show. :)
Fantastic ep to return on! Loved that Silas really got to shine as he took on the multiple challenges of standing up to his parents for what he believes in and who he is, and having Nick's back against the 3 hair beasts.... loved that Monroe's father despite all his misgivings, came to protect his son, and that Monroe's mother stood up to her husband to take the first steps in accepting her son as he is... I loved the ending dinner scene revealing that it will take some time to get adjusted to, but everyone is trying...
LOL at Juliette. "So, this wedding, pretty exciting, huh?" Loved this episode. I was pretty mad at Monroe last time for not telling his parents sooner, but tonight he apologized for that, so I forgive him. I am looking forward to Monroe's dad in future episodes. We already saw he's very knowledgeable and will be a great asset to the gang.
I think an great asset if there is some potential war against the Royal.....don't think everyone like them. We don't know even know much about Monroe dad
I'm so glad that Grimm is back. Can't we just have a new episode every day?
I loved this episode. The scenes with Monroe's parents were awesome. All of them. I was thinking that for his father to come around something had to happen like Nick saves his life somehow or Bart joins them in a fight. When they met at Monroe's place and talked about the Wildesheer I knew where this was going, that Bart would follow Monroe and help him. It was an awesome fight. And I laughed out loud at the end when Nick got up with the knife in his hand and at Juliette's innocent "what?" Trust her to put her foot in her mouth and make the whole atmosphere even more tense.
So finally the baby gets born. I agree that this could be the bad thing that is about to come. They have to get up the ante with Adalind a bit. This season she had nothing more to do than walk around a bit and look helpless. Could be an interesting storyline with the baby.
I have a question. Maybe I'm missing something and someone can enlighten me. Monroe meets with his parents in the hotel very early in the morning, then he goes back to the shop, meets Juliette there and realizes what they're dealing with. He leaves, saying he has to talk to Nick and apparently he drives home. But when he arrives there it's dark already. How does this add up? Even if it was late in the afternoon, it can't go from light to dark within the time Monroe needs to drive home, can it?
It looks like. I think he would have gone back to Rosalee after he left his parents. Where would he be for hours? But even if it was later than I assume that he left from the shop it was in broad daylight when he called Nick, but he arrived at his place in the dark like he had driven for hours. It's no big deal, I just find it a bit confusing.
That was not what I expected, but I loved it. Really felt for Monroe, especially when he went to his parents hotel room. I've had to face (on a much smaller scale) the stress of getting your parents to start looking at you for who you are and not that little kid who pretty much did what their parents expected. Anyway, Monroe's dad was a bit of a cliche. But I'm not sure how he could have been anything else.
I like Juliette so much more now. (I keep saying it because I don't want the producers to ever think they made a mistake and take us backward.) Seriously, if she weren't a vet I bet she's be a librarian. Once she started burbling about being up all night I was a little surprised that she wasn't carrying a couple of Grimm tomes as she followed Nick into the kitchen. Is it just me or did she seem more grossed out than scared. :-D
I liked the Samson effect. Did it actually kill them or just knock them out?
I'm guessing everyone agrees that the really really bad thing is Adalind's baby?
That dinner scene was hysterical. Juliette sitting there going "What?" Yeah. It's gonna take a while. Hope the wedding date isn't too too soon. I don't think the venue could survive it.
I agree. Silas was awesome. He seems to always be overlooked by the industry, but I think many of his fans are like me...when he shows up in something we check it out because he's there and he frequently takes on atypical and very interesting characters.
I really enjoyed this episode, especially all the scenes with Monroe's parents. Family always adds such a complex, rich layer to the storytelling canvas in my opinion. I'd be such a delight to see the drama and fighting when all their sets of parents meet up one day. Nick's mom and Monroe's dad would start a war. ;)
Awesome episode and great return. I glad see they finally move foward with Adalind plot, I think the baby will be a pressage of a big war in the wesen world.
I don't like when they focus to much on Monroe's problem, but this time I liked everything.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletepretty awkward moment? huh? I wonder what Monroe parent think about Juliette known who their true form is.....
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing either the baby or something in the season finale
ReplyDeleteSuch an awkward dinner lol.
ReplyDeleteI also liked the fight scene. It's nice to see Nick struggle in a fight against Wesen occasionally even with help

ReplyDeleteJust watched it. This episode was great. :)

ReplyDeleteAnother brilliant episode! The ending was funny especially Juliette's reaction :)
ReplyDeleteAdalind didn't look too disappointed when that guy took his shirt off and got in her bed! aha
Great episode!!
