Good show. I like that he is her father. He's got a long way to go in the ways of warming up to ths whole set up though. I wonder when he'll find out that he's Bo's father. Probably in some big fight or as a last resort they'll tell him. I'm glad that they answered why him though, it made it more attainable. Otherwise it didn't make sense why they'd get a prisoner to watch a little girl so important. I'm looking for Podcasts for this show...let me know if you know anyone doing one please. I wanna see episode 2 see how it carries on.

  3. Phenomenal premiere! Yeah, the fight scenes were meh but the chemistry between the main characters make up for it hugely.

I already love the relationship and banter between Tate and Bo. They play off each other so brilliantly and that's what makes it great. I'm glad that the writers correctly portrayed how a young kid acts and talks instead of just being a one dimensional character. Also, how cute is she?

And wow. My jaw drops every time she screams. Just amazing.

I like that Tate is her father. It gives them a chance to get to know each other better and connect on an emotional father/daughter level. Can't wait to see that on screen.

  4. Love it, I like the girl, great personality. That already bonding relationship with Tate and Bo is really nice.

    Happy to see Jaime also.

  5. I watched the pilot a few weeks ago and was impressed!

I wanted to like it since it has one of my favorite actors in Delroy Lindo and a premise inline with things I like, but it surpassed any hopes I had for the pilot honestly!

I think think the quality of a child actor can make or break a series that has a child lactor in the lead role and Bo (Johnny Sequoyah) impressed me. I think her performance hit just the right tones and her dynamic with Tate was obviously brilliant!

Ok, I admittedly hated the female assassin and at times the pilot did feel a little rushed compared to other brilliant pilots I have seen, but that rushed feeling is all too common in pilots. Even for series that turn out to be outstanding.

All that said, I still am not sure the show will be renewed.
I hope I am wrong but my gut tells me that Resurrected will be the genre hit of this season. I know they are not all that similar in premise, but each new season there is rarely more than one break out hit in a single genre, especially with SciFi/ supernatural series.

Overall, not bad. Definitely got potential. I figured at the start that the guy would end up being her father and I'm happy they didn't try to string it along as a big secret that everyone in the end would have figured out quickly enough.

I'm also a fan of Delroy Lindo pretty much ever since Get Shorty (Coincidentally his name was Bo in that movie). I didn't even know he was in this until he took off his hat, I was pleasantly surprised.

I have to agree about child actors. If they're a big part of the show then the make or break status does kinda rest on them. I also agree that this girl impressed me. She managed to nicely balance the roles of childlike innocence and wisdom beyond her years.

  8. He was great in Get Shorty.
The first thing I saw him in was a futuristic post-apocalyptic blood sport movie called The Blood of Heroes with Rutger Hauer, Joan Chen and Vincent D'Onofrio.

I only hope they use Kyle MacLachlan properly.

  10. That was beautiful. I shed a few tears. I haven't been this impressed with a pilot in years. Please be a hit, have great ratings and get a lot of seasons.

  11. I thought the pilot was extremely promising and I'll definitely be watching next week. It's difficult to predict the direction that the writers will choose to take after the pilot. Will it be more of an action/suspenseful show or will it be more of an inspirational show where she goes around helping people or a combination of both? I think the two lead actors are very charismatic and play off each other very well, which is a good sign. I was particularly impressed with the child actor, who commanded all of her scenes. In contrast to sitcoms, I think it's particularly challenging for child actors to shine in TV action/drama roles, which made her acting all the more impressive. I hope this show does well.

  12. I think it was good for a pilot, and i will continue to watch but it didn't grab me the way Resurrection has.

  13. It has potential, but the pilot was very clunky, and some bits made me cringe (seriously the female assassin opened 3 of the 4 doors in the wardrobe and then gave up? not even remotely plausible) . I am giving the show the benfit of the doubt and assuming that it's just because there was so much they wanted to get set up right from the start and are still finding their feet. If it settles down it could be a good show. I will try the next couple of episodes and see where it goes.

  14. One good thing...
The female assassin will not be back. She was written out of the show when the showrunenrs decided to go with multiple assassins over the season. Since then though Darthlocke informed me that they may have settled on one character to take that role.

  15. Pilot was unoriginal, the show looked cheap and the fight scenes were a joke - I'll pass.

  16. That is good news, although I think part of the problem was that her part was written poorly and also that the person who choreographed the fight scenes did a sloppy job.

  17. I LOVED IT!!, it's cute and funny and that's my favorite combination in a show!!, I will definately become a fan, besides Tate is GORGEOUS!!, and that's definately a HUGE plus.

  18. I never thought not even remotely that Tate would be Bo's father, in fact, when I heard that, I was like WHAT?? was he 10 when the baby girl was born?!!, then I found out he's 31 and the girl is 10 so it's possible... and no, I don't remember much about X-Files, but it reminds me the TV show TOUCH, which I considered REALLY boring, contrary to this one that I found very entertaining, so if the producers are "taking" ideas from other shows, at least they're improving the original ones.

  19. TRUE!!, the girl looks nothing like Jake McLaughlin, so she must be identical to her mother, and definitely Christina Ricci and the little girl look alike, she would be perfect for the role.

  20. I really enjoyed it and will be watching for more!
