Monroe ruled the episode for me, but it's hard to choose his best scene - comforting Rosalee, confronting his parents, sticking with Nick. Therefore I'm going with the fun scene at the end. Awkward dinner party for the win.
I couldn't believe they left us on that cliffhanger before the Olympics. I'm glad they started right back where they left off so we could see the fight.
Agreed. I kind of like the Friday slot because it does buffer it a bit in the ratings. I think Grimm could keep flying under the radar for many more years.
Well, they tried it on different timeslots, but apparently this show "belongs" on Friday. I can't explain it either, but it always feels "wrong" on the other days. To be fair, there were times when it was hard to stick with the show. But it finally stands on a very sound foundation.
I agree. It's a Friday night staple now for me and I miss it when it is gone. The love potion/amnesia months were hard to get through but I like how it has bounced back. I also enjoy the more worldwide view we are getting although Adalind's baby drama is starting to get old. Pop that kid out ands let the havoc begin.
After watching the episode of the season, which was revelation, I've decided that the best scene was the awkward dinner scene. I think the ending of this episode was more funny (in a good way). Sometimes, Grimm has some funny moments especially with Monroe.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteMonroe's parents walking out after he decides to side with Nick!
ReplyDeleteChrome crashed my more thought out comment so I'm sticking with awkward dinner party. It made me laugh.

ReplyDeleteThe fight was pretty sweet
ReplyDeleteAgreed. It's likely to get my Best Action award unless The Musketeers beats it. I still haven't seen that episode yet.
ReplyDeleteI love how both of Monroe's parents redeemed themselves. It was a refreshing change to see people trying to work out their differences in the end.

ReplyDeleteI had to pick Monroe's confrontation with his parents in the hotel room. Silas' performance pushed that scene over the edge for me.
ReplyDeleteMonroe and Rosalee hold the world's most awkward dinner party
ReplyDeleteOther: Meisner goes shirtless and Adalind goes "OMG, I need water".
ReplyDeleteThat was definitely the best acted scene. I felt so badly for him.
ReplyDeleteThat's hard...I finally picked the dinner party. But honestly, more or less the whole episode qualifies.

ReplyDeleteYes it is very refreshing to see people act like adults.
ReplyDeleteHa Ha! I noticed that too, although I thought I was projecting....
