One of my favorite stand-alone episodes of the season I think. (Even if the haedset cam was obvious)
We got more of the traditional format the show used to have, the format I miss! The COTW was the center of the episode with some great field work by Team Machine. A lot of fun!
It was also nice to see Fusco getting the respect he has deserved for a long while now! And now that he has said respect he is hating it! XD
Is it just me or is every new cop looked at with skepticism?
Always nice to meet a new potential nemesis like the "Ghost"! A techie that makes Harold wonder how he is doing what he does could be a formidable foe indeed!
I also liked that there was no distractions from Root. No coincidence that the show was on top form without her IMO. Nothing against her character, just that while she was on there were too many plots going on in some episodes. I do expect (and hope) to see more of her as the seasonal arc gets wrapped up though.
I just hope they use another method of revealing him instead of having his number coming up and the team spend the whole time protecting him and at the very end he's revealed to be this ghost person.
Me too! As much as that "is he or isn't he?" aspect is a major theme of the show, having the 3 of the major players revealed that way so far is becoming too routine, too predictable, redundant.
Quick Question: I have yet to watch the episode but I had one concern. From the promo, it looks like a person's voice is heard through headphones etc and not live. Since English is not my native tongue, my question is : Is the man's voice clear enough or do I have to download subtitles to understand what he's saying? Thanks in advance.
It sounded quite clear to me. No synthesizer or voice altering that I could discern, no static etc... Probably as clear when Finch talks to Reese or Shaw via the earwig or a phone. I think you should be alright, but we all hear differently I guess...
Except that this episode was almost an exact copy of the episode that introduced Root back in season 1...even down to that last call when the enemy contacts Harold to congratulate him on being the first person to defeat him. Ghost is apparently the new Root.
This is POI, great episode, great suspense and introduced a new villain. Finch was great in this episode. I'm happy they show Fusco in the office again and he is popular now, cool he deserves.
what is wrong with this show? Why so many breaks between episodes? 4C-january14/provenance-feb4, last call-feb25/ram march4 and many breaks before them...Arent you tired, guys? And they give us filler episodes before the breaks, the one on the plane was ridiculous, then the one with that female robber, gymnastics style...Maybe they think they have enough viewers not to try so much anymore. Its disturbing to watch an episode every two or three weeks.
Among my favorite parts of this episode were the scenes of Fusco begrudgingly giving advice to his fellow detectives. Well-earned, I'd say, and he actually gave sensible, good advice too!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I missed about 15 min of this episode and the entire time I was watching the rest all I could think about was the riddler
ReplyDeleteIt was a filler episode but come on! This is POI! We all knew they were going to set up something at the end of the episode!
ReplyDeleteI loved Finch acting like a badass and threatening to kill the guy at the end. That was great.
I wonder who that guy was on the phone. Can't wait to find out who he is. Looks like the team has a new threat!

that mysterious "guy" reminds me of root in the first season

ReplyDeleteTrue, but I think this villain is not a hacker like she is. I think will be a different kind of villain.

ReplyDeleteOK, with the exception of the new bad guy this episode was mostly a forgettable episode that was a little too predictable.
ReplyDeleteplace your bets ppl on the fact root will be needed to help find this guy lol
ReplyDeletei wonder what the actor reaction was when he was casted only to find out his voice will be used only lol.
