  2. I can't believe Charlie and Monroe would get together.Sure they have chemistry together but after what Bass has done to her family Charlie would never be with him....nah...nope...gee,maybe?

  3. I am also not sure about this. I think it will be weird if Charlie hooks up with both dad and son.

  4. Ya! Tho I guess she can always tell dad like she did son that she was bored,lol...

  5. OUAT: Not a real surprise there, but will be interesting to see how their relationship progresses from this point on.

Revolution: Ya, a history of: saving her life and fighting with her, putting her brother in a horrific situation, and a contorted history with her 'uncle' and mother, but it's not like they "got it on". What a weird thing to say R.S.O.!!!

  6. Revolution: I...... actually like Charlie-Monroe T___T I don't think they'll go there after Charlie-Connor. But then again I was all eww about Miles-Rachel and I'm still watching! Now I pretty much watch only for all the crazies that Neville does.
    OUAT: Can't wait for Regina/Robin! :)
Graceland: People actually care about Abby? Hmm...

  9. Very excited for Arrow to return. I would love to see how Sara and Roy interact. Omg if she helps Ollie train him, that'll be classic!! And I'm glad for Olicity, I figured I'd have to be worried after tonight's episode. Can't wait to see what happens to Moira next.

  10. I, for one, am still holding out hope for Charlie/Monroe. After my initial horror at the Charlie/Connor scene (and honestly I'm still not over it!), I really think the plan all along by the writers was to hook up C/C briefly which would then force Monroe to think about his relationship with Charlie. Which is basically what O'Bannon just said. Charlie is much more like Miles and Rachel than she realizes in being emotionally stunted and I'm sure she has no idea what to make of her "relationship", in whatever context you want to use that word, with Monroe.

And I'll say it until I'm blue in the face, I'm sick and tired of people saying that Monroe killed her family. Ben was killed because Danny was a hot head who threatened the Militia and didn't listen to Ben when told to put down the crossbow.

Danny was killed when, as a 18 yr old man, he elected to fight and was killed in the process of that battle. Both events stem from Danny's decisions.

I'm not saying that Monroe is completely hands free of blame, both events were precipitated by actions set in place by Monroe. However, he sure didn't want Ben dead, not when he believed that Ben knew how to turn the power back on. And even Elizabeth Mitchell has stated in interviews that she has a problem with the "Monroe killed her son" storyline because, as she correctly put it, he was trying to kill everyone.

Monroe didn't put targets on the backs of Ben or Danny specifically, it was a confluence of actions by Monroe and the Mathesons that lead to the two Matheson's deaths.

And, come on now, it's about time that the Matheson's start owning up to their own atrocities and actions. Rachel's invention, and however it was used, caused the deaths of more people than Monroe ever did and she kept the secret of how to turn the power back on to keep ONE PERSON, Danny, alive. Talk about being a monster, like she believes Monroe to be!!!!!

And everyone seems to be willing to forgive Miles all his transgressions...but we mustn't forget that there is a reason, one that's never been shared with the audience, that he earned the nickname "The Butcher of Baltimore."

Right now, for me, the only interesting story line left this season is the obviously sizzling chemistry between Charlie and Monroe. The nanites are boring, the Patriots are only semi interesting, and I've never liked anything to do with the Nevilles, they can all be killed off and I wouldn't miss a one of them. So, yeah, I'm still holding out hope for Charlie and Monroe.

  11. I know this is not your main point but the big difference between Miles and Monroe is that Miles has never actually blamed anybody else for what he did. He has taken responsibility for what he did during the Militia years and has tried hard to change. Monroe has never admitted he did anything wrong, he even wants to rebuild the republic.
Personally, I would like to see Miles being visited again by his old demons as I think his character was the most interesting when he fought against those demons and tried to do the right thing. That's why I am really hoping for a S3 during which Monroe rebuilds the republic..both Miles and Monroe would have to deal with their past which has the potential to show us whole new levels of their characters.
Rachel, of course, is great in blaming everybody but herself as well, and I hope the writers keep her as crazy and unreasonable as she has been for most of the series so far.

I do agree with you about Monroe not being responsible for either Ben's and Danny's death...

My main reason for not wanting Monroe hooking up with Charlie is because she had a thing with his son...you just don't go there unless you want to create a soap opera.
Charlie and Monroe can have a story line which does not involve romance and/or sex though and that story line would be interesting. She could become his voice of reason which eventually leads to his redemption just as she was for Miles in S1.

And speaking about chemistry..I always thought Monroe and Rachel have great chemistry and I always felt those two together would have been much better than Miles and Rachel. I know the writers wanted Miles and Rachel together from the start but I am still hoping they make this relationship more interesting again by bringing up their complex past. Still hoping that Monroe and Rachel will happen....Monroe has a history of wanting what Miles has/had so not quite out of the question lol. I know Rachel hates Monroe, but she hated Miles in S1 and has all forgotten about what he did to her in S2.

  13. Glee:</b< Another stupid development on Glee. Rachel has been working pretty much her entire life to get on Broadway and Santana becomes her undersutdy just like that? I can't, I just can't. This right here shattered some of my hope that the show might improve once it moves to New York.

  14. I will only accept the re-creation of the Monroe Republic if it is for a good reason. To do things completely right this time. To actually help people. I don't want it to be about Connor. I wouldn't like to see Monroe betraying Miles or Miles betraying Monroe. I'd rather see Monroe trying to rebuild their friendship and try to help Connor become a better person. Different than what Monroe became.

On the subject of romance, I'd like to see a romantic relationship between Monroe and Duncan.

It seems very unlikely that Charlie will get romantically or sexually involved with Connor and his father. This show won't go there. We already have the husband and brother-in-law angle with Rachel and Miles and that's off putting enough.

I can't see Rachel getting romantically or sexually involved with Monroe too simply because the writers don't want anyone or anything between Rachel and Miles.

That being said, I do think the show built a very strong foundation for a Rachel and Monroe relationship. Albeit not deeply explored because the show never seemed to be interested in turning this relationship into a romance. They have much more foundation than Charlie and Monroe anyway.

They were friends before the blackout. Rachel calls him "Bass" and only when she's talking directly with him, by the way, which is intimate and exclusive to them. They spent 4 years basically only seeing each other. They could only have genuine conversations with each other. Elizabeth Mitchell said Monroe was a "saviour" to Rachel in a very twisted way because he was the only person she could talk to. David Lyons said that losing Rachel (and Miles for the second time) was the reason Monroe starts to become severely anxious and paranoid. If you think about it, Rachel was filling the emotional void left by Miles. After Miles left, Rachel was his closest "friend". During the last 4 years of her life, Monroe was Rachel's closest "friend". Then we have Rachel identifying herself with everything Monroe said to her when they're locked inside the bunker. They are very similar. Both of them destroyed the world and killed too many people. Both of them are a "boatload of crazy". Both of them would do the most horrible things for family or lack of family or fear of losing their family. The lack of altruism when it comes to people outside of their inner circle of family/friends is something they have in common too. We have yet to mention all the mind games, flirting and personal space issues. All the little glances they still share in front of everyone, including Miles.

Of course, there is the hate too. Because of Danny and everything else. There is no indifference between them. It's interesting how the trip to Mexico was a lot about Rachel and Monroe. It's more than just hate. There is a lot of frustration and disappointment too. From both of them.

It's definitely a strong foundation for a relationship, if the show really wanted to go there with them. It wouldn't be surprising and it would be infinitely better than Rachel and Miles or Charlie and Monroe.
