I too wish Slade is not killed off. But if they manage to kill him this season they need to keep him dead forever. Too many people has cheated death in this show already.
I have a feeling it will be Malcolm and Oliver coming to a truce in the future to help Thea. But they did make Slade a regular, he could get one more season may be.
Having Slade as Oliver's ultimate nemesis and at the same time pairing up the two( out of necessity/compulsion) against other more formidable foes has lot of story telling potential and possible redemption for Slade. But, the way the writers are taking this story line, i highly doubt it.
I'm not a big 'villain Slade' fan. I think his motivation is cheap (drugs) and petty (a girl he was never even involved with) and too much of a repeat of last season's bad guy (grief over a woman causes character to go mad and cause mass distruction - Malcolm Merlyn).
I think Manu Bennett has done a great job and he's one hell of an intimidating bad guy. I just don't approve of how the show has evolved the character into who he is today. I think they could have done it in a way that was more creative and less repetitive.
Oh shoot, I don't even know where to start. So Slade is hanging out with Moira and Thea, who obviously have no idea who he is? They probably won't believe Oliver if he tries to warn them about him, as per TV cliche rules... so Slade is going to seriously be torturing/toying with Oliver here. Drive home (pun somewhat intended) the message that he can get to his loved ones anywhere, anytime.
I totally geeked out over seeing Sara and Roy together in the Arrowcave. I wonder if their introduction will go like: "Hey, you're the one who knocked me out, zip-cuffed my hands and hit me in the face with your baton, no?" "Yep, that's me." "Cool, how ya been?" LOL.
Caity kinda looks like Jennifer Garner in that pic where Sara is squatting next to the dude with glasses. Same hard jawline.
Geez, Moira sure does get around doesn't she? Why is she so chummy with Slade?? No bueno! And wow! He's in the house, this is going to be Sooo exciting. And I love how full the Arrow Cave is. Lol it's all awesome!
Oh wow, I didn't think Slade would just waltz into the Queen mansion like that! He and Moira look... Close. A part of me wishes Slade's villain turn wasn't about Shado and something so personal- I think there's no way they can let him live after this season and I'll miss Manu if they kill him off. Merlyn can always make a truce with Oliver, I don't see it happening with Slade. Unless they lock him up, the only way he won't keep trying to kill Oliver is if Oliver kills him first.
Oh. Oops! Lol. I don't mind "Belicity" b/c he makes Felicity happy/wanted in the romatic sense right now. And Barry's in a coma, he's not getting out til possibly the pilot of The Flash. So i'm not worried. Don't be worried. = )
I'm not worried I actually liked Barry, you misunderstood me, ok here's the question i was talking about
"A reader wanted to ask, “How are we going to see the Felicity/Oliver relationship evolve over the rest of the season?
”When we introduced Barry [Allen] in Episode 8 and 9, we saw a lot of people saying, “Oh, Oliver’s jealous.” I don’t know how it came across, but that certainly wasn’t the way that I was playing it. It was more curiosity about this guy and their interaction. But jealousy? Not so much. We have this Oliver/Sara thing happening now, and the immediate reaction is, “Oh, Felicity’s going to be jealous.” But Felicity’s way stronger than that. Felicity is much more interested in the overall goal of this team than the fact that Oliver and Sara might be together, and we see that in this next episode. We see Diggle say, “This must be difficult,” and her say, “Yeah, OK. Leave me alone. I’m working.” So, I think that we will see Oliver and Felicity’s relationship really solidified as partners and equals."
Okk?? LOL I already watched the Arrow sneak peek 2 with Diggle and Felicity, so i knew that she'd react that way. She can put on a brave face and stay in denial allll she wants. It won't make the feelings go away. As for Stephen saying he didn't play him jealous. I have to agree. I mean yes, my Olicity over reaction fantasy thoughts came in with the whole "jealousy" aspect, but during those episodes, i did see him MORE curious and protective of Felicity than anything else. However, episode 10, that's a whole other story, he was definitely jealous in that one. And he can stay in denial alll HE wants, it won't make the feelings go away. Hahaha Just the fact that he gets jealous even once, is good enough for me.
I know you saw the sneak peek that's why I shared the Q I knew it won't spoil you and I agree maybe he wasn't being jealous but in episode 8 when they were in the warehouse and Felicity and Barry introduced themselves he looked at Barry like "Hey dude I'm standing right here" that WASN'T curiosity LOL and episode 10 there was A WHOLE lot of jealousy going on they even got Dig fooled too (rolls eyes) yeah yeah doesn't have feelings (still rolling eyes) keep living in denial your day will come and when it does you are gonna fall hard from this denial mountain (eyes starting to hurt looking for eye drops) LOL
Really? I was the complete opposite. i thought he would just waltz in, to both A) Knock Oliver off his game B) To Ingratiate himself with the rest of the Queen family who dont know the truth of the situation.
Makes sense to me.
I didnt expect him to stay to the Shadows for too long because that really isnt a position of strength for a character like Slade.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Or he could just put an arrow through his other eye and then explain himself afterward. That would be too simple though.

Oh yeah. Pretty much while I'm watching tomorrow's episode I'm gonna be thinking "this isn't as exciting as next week's will be"
ReplyDeleteBlind Slade? Yeah... I don't think that would work. And I like Slade being a villain.

ReplyDeleteI see what you're saying. But I like the personal hatred towards Oliver and that side of things. And the fact that Manu Bennett is awesome.
ReplyDeleteWho is the guy with Sara? Looks like he's preying or something. Hmm, for a mostly Island episode, awful lot of present day pictures.
ReplyDeleteI think Manu Bennett has done a great job and he's one hell of an intimidating bad guy. I just don't approve of how the show has evolved the character into who he is today. I think they could have done it in a way that was more creative and less repetitive.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree there. But what's done is done, and I'm really enjoying the way he's being presented.

"So Mr. Wilson...how did you lose you eye ?"
ReplyDelete"A little prick that couldn't handle bo sticks slipped"
The pics got me excited but for some reason Roy and Sara really served as a major turn-off
ReplyDeleteThis is gonna be awesome!!

ReplyDeleteHahahaha that's what I said! Moira and Slade are too chummy. Lol
ReplyDeleteWhy Sara and Slade have history it makes sense
ReplyDeleteI simply don't care for her actress....
ReplyDeleteProbably just trying to avoid spoilers
ReplyDeleteSara is my favourite different strokes i guess

ReplyDeleteI LOL'D at your "He and Moira look...close." Haha that was funny.
ReplyDeleteDid you read Stephen's interview with TV Line? He broke my Olicity heart :(
ReplyDeleteNope, and I sure won't. Not with that look on your face. lol I'm good. I'll take it as it comes.
ReplyDeletehahaha no the part I was talking about didn't contain any spoilers, he was commenting on the Olicity relationship and Barry :(
