I simply have no words left for Peter. What a disappointment this character has been. I keep hoping with every episode that he will emprove but the frustration and disappointment just gets worse.
They've killed his character this season. In fact, they've kind of killed both characters for me this season. What should have been a really intriguing season has just felt more disappointing and out of character with each episode, a step backwards (without really justified reasons, more for contrived reasons) for both of them episode after episode. Meh.
I agree. The continuation of this path the show seems to be on breaks my heart episode by episode. This isn't the White Collar I loved. These aren't the Neal and Peter that captivated me for years. If there is a sixth season, the damage that's been done to the show and its characters better be undone at that point.
I agree with everything you guys have said. The only interesting thing I'm waiting for in this episode is Rebecca's storyline. Honestly, as far as both Neal and Peter are concerned, I just want to wipe most of this season off my memory. I hope the writers realize this whole thing sucks and eventually turn it around and minimize the damage. Otherwise, I don't know what the point of a season 6 will be. (I honestly did not expect to say that about white collar)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteContrived is a really good word for it. After the past seasons progression, this Neal and Peter make no sense.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of you. I like where the story is right now with Rebeca but what they have done to the characters is just a shame and so sad...
ReplyDeleteYou feel bad because he lied to her? WTF.

ReplyDeletePeter is such a condescending ass... it's safe to say I will never rewatch this season.
