Next week marks the return of The Tomorrow People, with its tenth episode 'The Citadel'. It's an enjoyable episode - far better than 'Death's Door'. A lot happens, with surprises around every corner and a very interesting cliffhanger, albeit a somewhat predictable one.
There is no time jump - we resume right where we ended before Christmas. Those who wondered why we didn't get to see into Limbo in 'Death's Door'... well, you'll have to watch and see whether or not we do here. Stephen does provide some information on what he saw though, and does attempt to pursue it.
The main plot of the episode revolves around a place called The Citadel, an Ultra prison of sorts. A lot of dirty secrets are revealed about it, ones which do affect the Tomorrow People, leaving Cara very unhappy.
In the subway base, there is a disagreement in the group, and it's aimed at John. Frustrated with him, the rest of the Tomorrow People want a new leader - Cara. The group put it to a vote; who will emerge winner?
A few teasers:
- There are some ironic moments towards the beginning of the episode.
- Someone is shot.
- Ultra has finally gotten around to replacing TIM. What will the acronym be this time?
- Jedikiah's opinions on trust change quite a lot in this episode.
- Stephen's mother has a new boyfriend, and let's just say she seems to have a type.
- There's a cliffhanger, which I predicted way before the end. It's still quite good though.
Watch The Tomorrow People this Wednesday at 9/8c on the CW.

Great preview Bradley, looking forward to next week! I wonder who is shot!
ReplyDeleteStephen is the one who's shot, we already saw it in the promo. Now who shoots him is the bigger question.
ReplyDeleteOr is he...?
ReplyDeleteYes, he is, lol.
ReplyDeleteHaha, Stephen gets shot. That's dumb to put in here but I am going to laugh so hard if Cara shoots him. Going to be interesting! Bring it on
ReplyDeleteHmmm, well we all know Cara will be the new leader based on the promos. And that Stephen was shot. I'm glad there isn't a time jump. Stephen's mom has a boy toy huh. A type, blonde? Brunette, Redhead? Hahaha I hope she won't be a Milf. lol And replacing Tim, wtf?? I like Tim!! Unless they replace him with Jarvis, idt i'll be happy about that. haha I assumed Jed's trust issues would change, it was a little obvious during the last episode, I'm thinking Stephen jumped in front of the bullet, to "save" Jed, so no one would suspect he's a mole. Man i can't wait to see this episode....soon. = )
ReplyDeleteUltra has replaced TIM. Not the group.
ReplyDeleteYeah, and i don't like it!
ReplyDeleteUltra *had* to replace TIM because John stole TIM when he left, therefore Ultra needed to redevelop/replace/renew a master computer of their own. TIM will still be/is still with The Tomorrow People. Apparently it's just taken Ultra this long to getting around to doing something about it.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh ok!! Thank you for the clarification. B/c that made me think that Ultra FOUND their place, and Stole TIM from them, and replaces it with some shitty model, just to get back at them. Now i feel better. As long as TIM is still with TTP, then i'm good.
ReplyDeleteOk Magil cleared it up for me. I was thinking something else. haha. I'm good now.
ReplyDeletelol - That would be quite the diabolical plan on Ultra's part. I know this was probably not exactly what you meant, but for some reason I've got this visual of a random Ultra agent, stuffed in a back room somewhere, who is forced to come up with a list of evil ways to get back at TTP before he can come out and this was like idea 27: "All we have to do is find their secret lair, sneak in, and replace their super computer with an inferior model." Then I picture him explaining this idea to Jedikiah.
ReplyDeleteLOL...I'm sorry, that's definitely not what i was thinking. And as soon as you said "Secret Lair" I thought of Dr. Evil, and the replace part, made me think, "ALL I ASKED IS FOR FREAKING SHARKS WITH LASER BEAMS ATTACHED TO THEIR HEADS!" LMFAO!!!!
ReplyDelete: )
ReplyDeleteIt's late where I am and I'm operating on very little sleep, but I laughed till I cried when I read this. And for whatev reason, I was picturing Andrew from Buffy as the agent trying to explain the genius of this master plan to Jedikiah... Or Xander from Buffy. Or Shawn and Gus from Psych... "And then we can get ripe peaches and eat them in front of them." All while Jedikiah just kind of stares, blank-faced.
ReplyDeleteOoo, Dr. Evil. That's one I didn't think of. LOL.
ReplyDeleteHahaha = P
ReplyDeleteI got a good chuckle out of this, especially picturing Shawn and Gus as Ultra agents. Thanks. I forget which episode of Psych that peaches line is in, but - perfect reference - lol.
