  1. So many good choices tonight ... but it has to be Harold Game-boying the plane in to a landing!

  2. I liked the comment Owen made about the salt and pepper look being catnip to soccer moms. Holy moley, he looked hotter than usual tonight. To all females, not just soccer moms I would guess.

Maybe he needs to keep the jeans and black shirt look too ;)

  3. Finch sets Reese up with his tailor.

  4. That was on the "long" list! Loved that too!

  5. Body count piling up for Reese, and he stashes each assassin's body in nearly every empty compartment in the plane

To me, it was the final walk away. It was soooo Casablanca! Only it's not the beginning but the continuity of a beautiful friendship.

  7. can't really choose as all the episode was so excellent! but my fav. is where Reese decides to go back with Finch and he gets a new suit

  8. really difficult to pick. Harold landing the play hit number 1, Shaw's chat with Hirsch (his asking if they treat her well was oddly sweet) and then Kelly KO'ing the hitman.

  9. I was not a big fan of Finch ''hacking'' the plane. I'm willing to accept it if anyone here tells me that's actually possible, but it seemed like a bit of a stretch to me. :p Not a big issue. They've done crazier things! ;)

Loved every time Reese just punched someone in the face to shut them up. The fight scenes in this episode were really good (and surprisingly violent!). Finch and Reese at the end was great too. I know Michael Emerson puts thought into every word he says, so I thought the uncharacteristic pauses were interesting. And ''I miss her dearly, too''... Ugh!
Honorable mention goes to ''Would it be too much to ask you to snap a twig?!''. What a great line!

  10. I liked the Shaw's "naughty and nice" thing and Reese's "national embarrassement" note.
Also, I am surprised nobody mentioned the resemblance of the Black Market Bazaar to the real-life Silk Road, which was brought down recently and the writers most probably used that as a background for this episode.
Finch's landing was OK for me - what was over-the-top a bit was that he had the whole landing gear right by his tableside (could have prepared it though, once he knew something was going on on the plane).
Also, Reese fighting all the guys in the aisle and nobody noticing anything, nobody waking up. Could happen, but not very likely. And, usually all the seats are sold on a flight. This one had a lot of spare seats ready for Reese to sit, or put an unconscious guy in :)
Don't get me wrong - I loved the episode, as usual. This was a mere 1% that just didn't fit for me.
    Anyway, back to the positives.
I was puzzled at first with the relevant/irrelevant number, but this is how I explain it to myself: The Cartel wanted The Spinx dead by any means - which meant a threat to all the passengers, so the ISA got involved. And what seemed like a good enough solution to them? Kill The Sphinx. That way, although they "help" the Cartel, they save all the other people on the plane (since it won't be necessary to take down the plane anymore). Oh, and yes, they keep the whole money-affair-national-embarrassement thing under the rug. Because of this, Owen was still in danger, so that's why the Machine sent Reese to save the day.
I also liked every Reese's interaction with Holly, hope we get to see her again.
Small fact to end with - Hersh survived the explosion indeed. How does he do that? :)

  11. Reese helping get the passenger to turn off his phone, and Finch and Shaw walk Bear were both on the "long list"! Which was very long for this episode, so I'm really glad you bring them up here!
I would love to see Hirsch turn! What a great idea - certainly his concern for Shaw as very interesting!

  12. The government doesn't want to end the war on drugs - it's a cash cow for them, hence Owen becomes a relevant number. Taking down the plane was a very last resort. I assumed Finch's flight simulator was close by because that's where he practiced learning to fly...

  13. So if the government doesn't want to end the war on drugs, why did they sent an agent to kill Owen?

  14. His whole scheme provided a way to thwart the drug lords, but it also exposed all of them. He was being asked to testify to expose them all and once that happens, it's easier to shut down the war on drugs...

  15. Ah, I see.

  16. I loved when Reese knocked out the guy who was on the phone giving the flight attendant a hard time

  17. This was a fabulous episode! They just keep coming up with winners this season! I too loved Finch sticking the landing, but there were a lot of great moments. Holly taking down a hitman, Owen helping Reese with the hitman in the cargo hold, Harold setting Reese up with his tailor, Holly wanting to set up a date with Reese, Shah and Hirsch, Reese telling Finch he needs a new suit for his job, and then the final moments of Harold and Reese getting back together to go home. It was terrific!

  18. Definitely a scene that was on my "long list"!

  19. "Owen takes a swing" was a scene from my long list! I'm always impressed at how this show is able to create great guest characters week in and week out - Owen and Holly were both great!

  20. That was a good one too--there were sooo many small moments throughout the episode. It was just an outstanding episode.

  21. Hey, waitaminnit: 4C. 4C?? As if "foresee"? Little joke for us all?

  22. And he was so excited about it--clearly not just because it meant Reese was back but because, goshdarnit, his atelier is just the best there is! I love Harold. Michael Emerson is a treat to watch.

  23. Wouldn't we all love to see that happen for real?

  24. Late comment but just watched the episode. It's amazing! After episodes of Reese lacking of screentime, it's refreshing to see him in action. For me, one of the most memorable scene was the realization, when Reese finally blurted it out that the "computer guys" built something powerful and never took responsibilities after that, gasping Harold. It's very emotional for me, Reese's face, Harold's face, and Owen's clueless "you seem like you're angry at someone else" face. It's clear now that Harold and Reese truly love each other.
