I liked quite a few scenes in this, but my favorite was Dean's meltdown over Kevin's phone, Dean and Cas talking about what Dean did and Cas trying to keep him focused, and Sam kicking Gadreel out.
I went with "Other". The NSA joke hit a bit too close to home for a German like me. Apart from that I very much liked all the Crowley scenes. It's good to have him back after he was literally sitting out on the last nine episodes.
No way can I pick just one. All of Crowley's dialog was amazing. All of the Dean and Cas scenes were great. Sam finally casting Gadreel out. And of course the final scene with Dean leaving and Sam letting him go without a fight. This was one of the best episodes they have had in a very long time.
My hope is that they have "saved" him to use extensively in the second half. The actor can only do so many episodes before he's automatically bumped from "recurring" to "regular"...
Honestly, folks (and I know I'm getting dogpiled for this comment), I wish Abaddon would win this battle for Hell. I enjoy a great female villain. I'd prefer to see her around for another season, causing havoc, than the predicable (obvious) end where Crowley kills her and I lose seeing amazing, gorgeous and evilly talented Alaina Huffman on my TV every week.
Too bad we can't have both! Given a choice--assuming we HAVE to, I'm on Team Crowley, not because I have anyhting against Abaddon per se, or the actress playing her (? him? it?), but I really enjoy watching Mark Sheppard. However, the general lack of ongoing strong female characters on the show could use some shaking up--if only the fandom would accept it....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
"Let me guess: Winchester trouble."

ReplyDeleteI love Cass pushes Sam/ gadeel out cold. Sad about the boys though
ReplyDeleteSam tells Dean to go.
ReplyDeleteThat was on the "long" list!
ReplyDeleteVote Crowley
ReplyDeleteI forgot about that one. I loved it too, especially the look on Cas' face afterward.
ReplyDeleteSo. Many. Great. Scenes. And lines delivered!
ReplyDeletePicking the car and shotgun fight, Cas knocking out Gadreel and basically all of Crowley's scenes.
ReplyDeleteHunter funeral, Crowley/Sam/Gadreel scene in Sam's head, and Crowley/Abaddon campaign scene. I liked the whole ep.

ReplyDeleteTotally agree!
ReplyDeleteAll of them.
ReplyDeleteDean's meltdown over Kevin's phone was definitely one of the most emotional and 'real' moments on this show.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Sam casting Gadreel out. That was so satisfying.
ReplyDeleteSam kicks Gadreel out was my favorite... The camera angle was great... I also liked just about anything with Crowley!
ReplyDeleteI loved that line and his lack of surprise.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite moment was Sam casting out Gadreel. The angle of the shot was really good, and it didn't hurt that Jared looked esp. hot. Haha :-)
ReplyDeleteA Demon and an Angel walk into my brother.....
ReplyDeleteMe too. I haven't been overly impressed by the actor playing Metatron overall, but he delivered that line with the perfect degree of deadpan.

ReplyDeleteI think Metatron expected it, honestly.
