When bride-to-be Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) revisits her past as a model on the Jan. 27 episode of ABC's Castle, she crosses paths with Modern Fashion magazine editor Matilda King (Frances Fisher) and tries on a couture wedding gown plucked from a runway show.

I really don't like it. If it makes Stana's hips look that big then God help me LOL!!
ReplyDeleteNot conventionally beautiful but weirdly I like it. Also this pic doesn't show it very well.
ReplyDeleteThe top half of the dress looks gorgeous. Don't like the puffy thing from her waist down.
ReplyDeleteI love ballgowns, but this one isn't pretty. I wished they had picked something else to tease us.
ReplyDeleteCould do without the things hanging from the sides.
ReplyDeleteUnsure how I feel about that dress. It looks too fluffy at the bottom.
ReplyDeleteWedding dress! Wedding dress! Wedding dreeess! !!! :)
ReplyDeleteNot a good look.
ReplyDeleteThis made me laugh! ;D Kind of a typical guy response (sorry, I'm just
ReplyDeleteteasing ;)) but I totally agree, I don't like it one bit (the sleeves are pretty though). But since it won't be the actual
wedding dress I'm not too put out by it lol ;) They would never show the
actual wedding dress before the wedding so..also, who knows how and
when the wedding will happen..maybe she won't even be wearing a
traditional dress.. Though I would really want that for her (and us lol)!
It's very Luke Reichle, and it's not a compliment from me. I wonder though that what's the good in spending 30k bucks to a gown (which I agree, we probably will not see as the actual wedding gown) when AM was complaining that they are on a tight budget? Do not tell me that they can't lease one from a fashion house.
ReplyDeleteWell, they can always modified this dress, to make the stuff on the hips look less 'poofy'. Or, you know, just completely get rid of it. Because other than that the rest looks great. I do wonder if the dress isn't meant to be all done and the white fabric hasn't completely been sewn on yet - in this picture. I guess we'll see.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Luke´s sketch. http://secretsoftheredcarpet.com/lukes-sketchbook-the-allegory-of-style/
ReplyDeleteHaha.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, it's very similar. Well, not all the ideas should to come true...
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!the woman has an amazing figure-she is tall and thin and curvy and the dress not only hides her endless legs but also makes her bulky, which she is NOT!
ReplyDeletei always imagined Stana in an Inbal Dror inspired dress like these (front & back):

Classy & elegant (and a little sexy...)
I don't think they will show us the final dress until the wedding day, so I guess she was just trying it on.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. I had lso pictured Beckett on sth more modern like these, specially the first one (I'm a bit tired of strapless gowns).
ReplyDeleteHorrible dress. She looks a bit like centaur in the middle mirror.
ReplyDeletehere's hoping this is just "one of the dresses she tries on"... - OR - here's hoping 'Castle' producers make their rounds of internet feedback and edit in a different dress in whatever scene this will become... aaahhhh!!!! Shocked we got a photo, and then jolted by how spectacularly ugly the bottom half was...
