After the panel, reporters asked Reilly if he anticipates the next season will be Bones‘ final season and the executive confirmed that, yes, that’s the expectation.

I figured we'd get a renewal announcement today. Hoping we hear soon.

Thanks, I'll add it.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
ReplyDeleteThese are great albeit expected news!

Make the 10th season it's last. In my personal opinion no show should go beyond ten seasons. If you can't tell the story you want to tell in ten seasons then you're doing something wrong.
ReplyDeleteI like how we're getting FINAL seasons quite often lately, it gives the show a great chance to really prepare to say goodbye.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind that S10 will be its last. That means it will get the great finish it deserves!!
ReplyDeleteNo surprise here, Bones is a reliable player and their best friday experiment in a long time.
ReplyDeleteThe question is if it's going to be the final season, because I don't know if the channel is prepared to say goodbye to them (look at ABC with Grey's Anatomy).
Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteFinal season? Considering how good it has done in Fridays I would at least give it two years so there is time to find another successful Friday show. After Bones is gone,
ReplyDeleteFinal Fridays with Bones and Glee.
ReplyDeleteI am sad, bones is my Netflix show right now. So hopefully I am caught up to watch the final season live.
I think this should be the last season. But 10 I guess is a nice round number.
ReplyDeleteAs long as it's ending on its' own terms and 10 seasons is amazing.
ReplyDeleteGood for Bones and for FOX, 10 years is an amazing achievement.
ReplyDeleteI love "Bones" but it's high time for it to come to an end.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. 10 seasons is an impressive run and gives the show ample time to wrap things up.
ReplyDeleteI figured so, too, but it still makes me want to cry a little.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise here. Ten years is a long time for any show to go on for.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is sad--only one more season for Bones? I could watch that show forever!
ReplyDeleteCry a lot for me...
ReplyDeleteMe too, more than likely.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time coming. The show had a good run and planning ahead for a final season will give the series a proper sendoff. Well done, FOX and Bones.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad to let go of an amazing show even though it's been running for 9 years already. I'm glad they get to wrap it up without any rush. I hope the writers and producers make an excellent finale!
ReplyDeleteI wanted Fringe to end in 10 seasons :( lol
ReplyDeleteFringe should of lasted 10 seasons too lol
ReplyDeleteAfter the 10 season i'm dying to learn how many Skeletons were used for the entire 10 yrs lol
ReplyDeleteLet's resurrect Fringe!! lol
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think it usually works better when they know ahead when a show is ending so they can wrap it up properly. I hate when shows end on cliff-hangers and there's a bunch of unresolved issues.
ReplyDeleteAw, but I kind of saw it coming I don't want the show to end yet but I think it has to. It's hard to find a good spot for it and even though I love this show it's going on 10 seasons so I actually don't mind it ending.
ReplyDeleteOh I had not seen the final season thing when I first commented. Well, it was quite expected because costs ought to be unsustainable at some point, they haven't rotated the cast at all apart from Zack in Season 3. It's kind of bittersweet but I can live with 10 seasons. Plus, we still have 1.5 seasons to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteNot having a slot for it is FOX's last problem IMO, they have plenty of slots in which they could use Bones (basically every single day of the week lol). Their problem are the costs because the show is 10 years old.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Well done!
ReplyDeleteTen years will be a fine time to end the show. This gives them enough time to give them and us fans a great send off!
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's the way it should be!
