BRB just freaking out right now!!! Derek's phone call, Jo and Alex, Shane, and then Jackson professing his love for April?!?! FINALLY!!! only bad thing is that we now have to wait until February :(
Great moments for all characters! LOVED the Cristina/Meredith fighting/resolution.
The final minutes? Totally oversold, we all knew what was going to happen at that wedding... And didn't Patrick Demspey tell us that Derek is going to go into brain mapping and bring it to the president before season 10 even started?
Did not see Jimmy going down. But loved the Alex scenes where he yelled at his father. Shane is out of control!
YAY Jackson declared his love for April!!!!! (i just knew it!),now does she,oh hell yeah,i think she does!
Knew Shane wasn't over his guilt, but i didn't think he was going to kill a patient over this...Shane just walk away and get some help......i never liked him anyway!
Man, poor Arizona,my heart aches for her. They really need therapy, there is no way in hell where they can fix this marriage themselves, especially since Callie doesn't want to talk..
Finally Mer and Cris had it out,now the talking will take over and they will work it out! Even best friends have fights...
And whoa!!! So Patrick gets a call from the president.....is he leaving???
Fabulous episode and i can't wait for it to come back!!!!
Jackson is officially the douce of 2013 on TV, poor Stephanie and Matthew and how rude to do that at the wedding, they were both given plenty of chances beforehand and they chose the person they were with. Other than that excellent episode! I will not enjoy the wait :(
why couldnt he just let them get married and move on. This all sucks. This story line with Jacksona nd April is the worst. Hate it. Just hate it. Wilson is so much better for him, and these two religious fanatics are made for each other. Hate it! Though happy for Mer and Christina, and Alex, as always, is the best of the best
I loved it, you know, it's classic Grey's drama-for-chicks tv... but come one, the season started with April professing her love for Jackson and pretty much telling she'll dump the other dude if he said the word, and the guy blew her off. He suddenly decides to break them apart on the altar? Douchiest move, ever.
How selfish was that of Jackson, to wait till her wedding day. Not a good move. She is happy with Matthew and by telling her that he is only upsetting her. He's only doing it for himself, if he really loved her he would let her be happy with Matthew and not spoil her big day.
It was all going well until Jackson stood up and opened his mouth. What a douche. April told him that she wanted him in the premiere, but he pushed her away, and he HAD to wait till her wedding day. I knew he would do it after he quoted Mark, but still. Screw you, Jackson. And poor Stephanie, she almost told him that she loved him.
Still not feeling it for Shane, this made me dislike him more. I kinda expected Jimmy to die when Alex said goodbye to him,
I am glad that Cristina and Mer are talking it out, hope Cristina leaves with things mended b/w them.
I loved the Alex moments in the episode, he wast great this episode.
I have two gripes about the wedding scene; firstly, a wedding declaration is SUPER tacky and overplayed. It was predictable,
Secondly -- Stephanie still has to go to work tomorrow. lmao. I hope April says no. Man today should've been Stephanie's last day at GSM lol -- she coulda went to work with Owen's gf. That'l be hell to live down.
Firstly, he stood up TWICE. Like we couldn't get the message the first time? Secondly...Stephanie still has to go to work tomorrow lmao. That's just the worst. A wedding declaration is super tacky and played out, but all the Japril fans are like "...ion care." I hope April says no. Jackson's gotta suffer, man.
But I'm just here to see Stephanie read Jackson like braille on level hard for the Sunday paper for the blind. I'll get popcorn ready for that.
Awesome episode. This multiple disasters is really the best part of Grey's (although a bit unrealistic and exagerated). I can't wait to see what is going to happen to Shane and Alex's dad (I hope the Chief can fix it). And yey at Jackson interrupting the wedding. I was expecting him to say something at some point, but I loved the getting up and then shutting up, and then getting up again. Can't wait for April's reaction.
You should watch the show. It's in syndication (only the first season is on DVD so far, and it's the worst one) on a few channels. A Different World is actually a spin-off of The Cosby Show and I think it's better.
What does that last line mean? "like braille on level hard" second time you used it but i can't make out what it means? I know what braille is but i'm at a loss here.?
Knew Jackson stopping the wedding was coming but it was still cheesey as fuck. Seriously though. This is the most cliche thing to do! Argh!
I feel sorry for Steph and Matthew though. Very selfish of Jackson. There were many times he could tell her not to marry Matthew but he had to choose the wedding.
lol braille on level hard is short for 'reading' somebody; reading someone is when you go off on someone, how Eli went off (read) Fitz in the "Boy" monologue on Scandal. There are plenty of ways to say/describe reading people, like "read like the Sunday paper", etc.
Just my way of saying Stephanie better go off on Jackson because there are so many ways this could've been done, according to how things operate in Shondaland lol
I know she will say yes, I just hate the wedding crashing plot Shonda should of did something different way to predictable. I think April knew he was going to do that, That's why she pressured him to come.
Finally Jackson stepped up! I knew it was coming but I liked the way he doubted and the way he invoked Sloan, I've been rooting for them for a while so I'm glad it happened, it wouldn't be that good if the yes was simple but I hope they don't follow though with the wedding cuase once April's married it's definitely over for them. I really like Mathew but there's no competing with Jackson, sorry.
Grey's is becoming so predictable now. Everyone guessed that "shocking ending" weeks ago. I would have rather seen Jackson tell April before the wedding or April become a runaway bride (runaway bride was the storyline I was personally hoping for). BUT with that said, it made my Japril heart happy to see Jackson say what we already knew. His timing was all kinds of wrong but better late than never I guess. Poor, poor Stephanie lol and then she had to just sit there while he made his profession. That was fucked up. He definitely misled her and played with April's emotions. The way he shot her down in the premiere was cold and now he waits until the day of her wedding to say I love you? I will always be team Japril but that could have been better written. Alex's storyline was my favorite this episode and I think that was some of the best acting Justin Chambers has ever done. Reminded me of his dramatic monologues during the time of Izzie's cancer saga. Finally (hopefully) the Meredith/Cristina fight is done. It was so funny as soon as Meredith admitted she was jealous (which we already knew), the people who so called hated Cristina on my twitter TL loved her. GTFOH. I can't stand wishy-washy ppl. Shane was the person I could have cared least abt and would have rather seen Webber do his first surgery or Bailey and Ben work things out. The interns are really a waste of space. Webber is looking good and honestly I would love to see him be chief again. The episode wasn't the greatest but it was one of the better ones in this season. They told us we would cry and I didn't shed one tear. I want to cry when I watch Grey's. There were scenes that could have been sad but they fell short. I pray 10B is better. Sandra Oh only has 12 episodes left and then it's over for Cristina Yang. She deserves better in her final season.
Definitely the best episode of the season, solid acting, well writing and full of emotions.
My favorite scens are:
Alex with Jo and Alex with his dad. Jackson interrupting the wedding (was clichê, was predictable, but was great and Grey's knows how doing this moments) Shane twist tied with Derek receive the call from the president. And the last Mer and Christina talk *-*
Yeah! It really was a bit reminiscent to the "I'm scared to move, I'm scared to touch you" scene back in S5, at least in terms of acting quality, now that you bring it up.
The writers really need to step up their game in the second half. The only saving grace in this first half was Alex's storyline with his dad.
Also, I hope this stupid Cristina and Meredith argument is over and the writers can focus on giving Cristina/Sandra a proper send off (i.e. winning that Harper Avery award).
Oh and can we have President Grant be the president calling Derek! PLEASE!!!
- Alex has been so incredibly underused throughout the entire show, Alex was amazing in this episode and I hope Jimmy won't be killed off anytime soon 'cauase that would probably mean Alex goes back to having no storyline. And how cute were Alex and Jo outside the barn? - I didn't see Bailey blaming Ben coming. It seems like this marriage is suffering from a lack of communication as well, the other being Callie/Arizona.
- Arizona's meltdown was long overdue. Now she just needs to tell Callie the exact same things she told April. - Derek getting a direct call from the President was unexpected. I knew that Shonda couldn't just let Derek & Meredith be happy. Would have been to good to be true. - As much as I want Jackson and April together, that was such a douchy move of Jackson. I was never a big fan of Jackson and Stephanie but I feel really sorry for her.
I wouldn't want Cristina to win an award for something she didn't do.
And technically, a Grey's Anatomy/Scandal crossover is impossible since many actors have been on both shows. Example: Meredith's dead mother is the Vice President on Scandal. It wouldn't make sense.
Why not? She could have fake her death and take on a new identity! Thatcher found out and decided to do the same after Lexie's death. Too far-fetched? :P
Cristina did come up with the idea. She did the surgery. And I'm sure - with 12 eps left - she'll find out what she did to make it work. ;)
"Cristina did come up with the idea. She did the surgery. And I'm sure - with 12 eps left - she'll find out what she did to make it work. ;)"
You're missing the point. Everybody thinks the device Cristina created with the 3D-Printer saved the baby's life but it didn't - The device failed but somehow the baby is still alive. Even if she were to figure out how she did it, it would be unrelated to the 3D-Printer device and she'd still be a fraud for claiming to save the baby with device when it actually failed.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

I wonder what the president wants with Derek.
I totally agree. What a douche.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they did kinda oversold the last five minutes.
ReplyDeleteNO ONE will ever top Dwayne Wayne's interruption. Ever.
ReplyDeleteI have two gripes about the wedding scene; firstly, a wedding declaration is SUPER tacky and overplayed. It was predictable,
ReplyDeleteSecondly -- Stephanie still has to go to work tomorrow. lmao. I hope April says no. Man today should've been Stephanie's last day at GSM lol -- she coulda went to work with Owen's gf. That'l be hell to live down.

I think April will say no, but Matthew will back down.
ReplyDeleteIf Shane is allowed to operate again it will be the most unrealistic thing since the bomb/shooting/crash combined.
ReplyDeleteAmazing and shocking and the acting was just superb and I just ah!!! Loved every second of it and that ending... wow.
ReplyDeleteI didn't understand that reference, so I searched for it on youtube. And I must agree that interruption was amazing.
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode. This multiple disasters is really the best part of Grey's (although a bit unrealistic and exagerated). ReplyDeleteThis! "Baby, please" is forever stuck in my head!

ReplyDeleteWell, Izzie was still allowed to after the LVAD fiasco, so this wouldn't be a shock, tbh.
ReplyDeleteWhat does that last line mean? "like braille on level hard" second time you used it but i can't make out what it means? I know what braille is but i'm at a loss here.?
ReplyDeleteKnew Jackson stopping the wedding was coming but it was still cheesey as fuck. Seriously though. This is the most cliche thing to do! Argh!
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for Steph and Matthew though. Very selfish of Jackson. There were many times he could tell her not to marry Matthew but he had to choose the wedding.
I think so too. That wedding would've been online for the fights if I were Stephanie and Matthew. That's THE worst.
ReplyDeletelol braille on level hard is short for 'reading' somebody; reading someone is when you go off on someone, how Eli went off (read) Fitz in the "Boy" monologue on Scandal. There are plenty of ways to say/describe reading people, like "read like the Sunday paper", etc.

you said Jo is better for Jackson? You meant Stephanie? O_o -- just asking.
ReplyDelete"YES!" "Did you hear that Reverend? She said yes!" "But to whom?" "...I'm sorry Byron." <---- I'm so mad I know that by heart lmaoo
ReplyDeleteLOL, I have it memorized too! And I keep watching it over and over again (thanks, YouTube) because I can never get enough of it.
ReplyDeleteDwayne and Whitley's wedding is definitely my favorite TV wedding.
omg, of course) I got too emotional and confused their last names)
ReplyDeleteI know she will say yes, I just hate the wedding crashing plot Shonda should of did something different way to predictable. I think April knew he was going to do that, That's why she pressured him to come.
ReplyDeleteI agree I would of settled for a runaway bride, Or even a fake pass out lol..
ReplyDeleteTotally agree.
ReplyDeleteYes, but those were different circumstances.
ReplyDeleteI do hope that Shane is sent in for a psych evaluation.
lol i was like alex would kill him
ReplyDeleteFinally Jackson stepped up!
