Where did tonight's Mellisa and Joey take place in the series timeline? I came in about 7 minutes late so I didn't see if this was pre or post-midseason finale.
I think it's pretty safe to say that this episode is meant to be standalone/out of cannon since it completely ignored the events of the summer finale, i.e. Austin coming back and telling Mel that he wants to get back together with her just as Joe was coming home to tell her that he thinks they should explore the possibility of a romantic relationship. I think all that matters in terms of the episode's timeline is that it took place at Christmas time.
I like to look at it like this: Riley has this fantasy in her head of what being with Ben would be like. This fantasy has built up over many years of crushing on him. Before she ever gives Danny a chance, she needs to find out that reality doesn't match up to the fantasy she has of Ben. If Danny and Riley are endgame, and I believe they are, then dating Ben will lead them to that.
Ya for once I want the sub main character Danny to get the girl Riley. the question in the end is what is more important a man's or a women's love for the others.
Can't wait!! I think this takes place after the Austin issue is taken care of. We didn't see a promo dealing with the cliffhanger so, I think it's safe to assume it's a week or two AFTER they decide what to do with their relationship. Obviously, we will be pleased with their decision. AGAIN, I can't wait! Joe is the best guy for Mel, he gets her quirks and is patient with her & the quirks. :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Ew to Ben/Riley. Glad it looks like they won't last very long.
ReplyDeleteYay to Mel/Joe!
Please help i cant find the new episode online :(
ReplyDeleteI think I threw up in my mouth a little bit watching Ben and Riley kiss.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a horrible idea and he's my least favorite character. Danny/Riley are so much better and God,

ReplyDeleteNot entirely sure, but going with post midseason finale.

ReplyDeleteI'd say sometime before the mid-season finale. That's where it fits anyways.
