I ticked Lana, only because Lois and Clark was a given and I didn't really feel the chemistry. At times Lana and Clark had good chemistry. They sort of had no idea what to do with Lana after they turned her dark and she finally got with Clark
In the end Alicia saw reason and I think I found her dead one of the most tragic of the whole series. She was perfect in my eyes for Clark because she had powers as well and understood Clark in a way noone else did at that time. Lana never did while she was dating Clark. Lois understood it in the end (but it took the writers like 5 seasons to get there, not really a pro for Lois). Chloe was never a real love interest so not sure what she is doing up in that list.
Lois. Lois always. But if hadn't been Lois for whatever reason, then my picks go Chloe, then Alicia, and Lana in last place. Not as a character, but as a love interest to Clark, I have no interest in Lana Lang.
I disagree there were feelings surfacing before Lana turned his head. Go back to the first few episodes. You will see what I mean. After Lana showed up Chloe was permanently placed in the Friends zone.
Yes, Alicia was Awesome, her death was the saddest moment of the series for me, and I loathe the fact that it was never mentioned again. that, to me, was one of the biggest disappointments of the rest of the series. ignoring Alicia's existence, when she was the one who Chloe the truth about Clark, to the point that people who have watched the series have no idea who she was, is an absurd disservice to the character And the storyline.
You are so right. Also, Clark cried for her and he didn't cry for any of the others. I personally think she was hotter than the rest of them too. The 3 episodes that she is in are some of my favorites. She is one of my favorite characters so much so that I have sought out many other things that Sarah Carter has been in.
I'm sorry, because I do like Chloe a lot. But this is wrong. She was not the first 'to determine his powers'. She learned of his powers only because Alicia flat out showed them to her. It's not like Chloe somehow puzzled out the truth on her own with no help.
But don't get me wrong, I love Chloe and I love that she learned the truth. I just don't see her as a love interest for Clark, and I don't think she should be given credit for something she didn't actually do.
Totally agree with you -- they had amazing chemistry even if it was never really acted on. Super interesting dynamic and always enjoyed their scenes together.
I'll admit, I loved and still love the idea of Clark/Chloe, even if nothing ever really came of it. Really disliked her character in the last like 2 seasons with Oliver, though. I liked Clark and Lana as well. As for Clark and Lois...I never really had a problem with them, but I didn't see the chemistry that Clark had with other people. That combined with the "consolation prize" feel of things after Clark was forced to give up Lana kind of tampered any enthusiasm I might have felt for them.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
When was Chloe ever a love interest of Clark? I know she had feelings for him at one point but I don't recall him ever having those feelings for her.
ReplyDeleteClark and Lois always.
ReplyDeleteChloe shouldn't be on this list.
ReplyDeleteLois. And probably Lois. Oh, and wait, yep, Lois.
ReplyDeleteLois Lane without a doubt!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlicia, always Alicia forever.
ReplyDeleteLois, because season 8 was my favorite season :) Who's Alicia anyway?
ReplyDeleteDid you watch the entire series? If not Alicia was Clark's crazy ex she wasn't shown that much though.
ReplyDeletechloe was in love to clark and they kissng some epsodes
ReplyDeleteI ticked Lana, only because Lois and Clark was a given and I didn't really feel the chemistry. At times Lana and Clark had good chemistry. They sort of had no idea what to do with Lana after they turned her dark and she finally got with Clark
ReplyDeleteLois Lane, definitely. It's nice to see a new Smallville poll around here. I miss this show so much.
ReplyDeleteit was never really confirmed but they went to a dance together though he left her to save Lana but I guess it still counts
ReplyDeleteAlicia was crazy but I liked the episodes she was in
ReplyDeleteIn the end Alicia saw reason and I think I found her dead one of the most tragic of the whole series.

Yes, she should.
ReplyDeleteChloe, always. I liked Alicia, disliked Lana and hate Lois with the passion of a tousands suns.
ReplyDeleteChloe was the first to determine his powers. She always kept his secret. She was there to the end too.
ReplyDeleteLois. Lois always. But if hadn't been Lois for whatever reason, then my picks go Chloe, then Alicia, and Lana in last place. Not as a character, but as a love interest to Clark, I have no interest in Lana Lang.
ReplyDeleteObviously you live in a dream world where Clark had feelings for Chloe. This poll is not the other way around.
ReplyDeleteWhat's that got to do with this poll?
ReplyDeleteSo if you're brainwashed it's still love? ;)
ReplyDeleteObviously you are a very rude person.
ReplyDeleteI watched the series from day one and i can say Lois always. From the moment that she showed up in his life the show just changed for the better.
ReplyDeleteshe was the one that could teleport, that is killed in season 4. Probably my favourite scene of the series where Clark confronts the sandman
ReplyDeleteLois Lane. Lois and Clark are always THE OTP, no matter the medium!
ReplyDeleteShe was his first love interest but she was too shy to take advantage. Then Lana took over. I still consider her Clark's first.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm the minority I went with Lana probably because I also preferred the earlier seasons too.
ReplyDeleteI am on Team ABL - Anyone but Lana. I disliked her so much I had to stop watching the show.
ReplyDeleteLois Lane & Alicia Baker
ReplyDeleteawsome ... so Alicia fan's do exist :)
ReplyDeletemine 2 loved that episode one of my fav's
ReplyDeleteThe poll is referring to HIS love interests not HERS.
ReplyDeleteI disagree there were feelings surfacing before Lana turned his head. Go back to the first few episodes. You will see what I mean. After Lana showed up Chloe was permanently placed in the Friends zone.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid you're searching for something that's not actually there.

ReplyDeleteTess Mercer.
ReplyDeleteI agree with a previous statement.
ReplyDeleteAlthough it was never real, it was always hinted at (in my opinion) that Tess and Clark had some real chemistry.
I loved reading that THANK YOU
ReplyDeleteLOVED TESS but with Clark hell no
ReplyDeleteThey had the best chemistry and very interesting/ambiguous dynamics. So, yeah Cless ftw.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. Also, Clark cried for her and he didn't cry for any of the others. I personally think she was hotter than the rest of them too. Lois hands down!
ReplyDeleteLana!!!
ReplyDeleteI know its a minority opinion but I wanted them to be together no matter how the original comics go. I liked Lois much more without Clark.

ReplyDeleteI did, I just don't remember the small details, it was a while ago
ReplyDeleteAll I see is Red Olivia. I got emotional :(
