ReplyDeleteI voted for Izzie. I like Addison a tad more but she had her happy ending so even though I am all for guest stints and such I don't want her back full time to mess up with that. I would vote for Amelia if she was an option though. I don't want Burke back at all, I never cared for his character and I don't see what he would add at this point. Teddy I would kind of like.

ReplyDeleteI swore on everything that their little tryst in the first season would lead to something and Alex had MAJOR growth development throughout he and Izzie's time together. He stopped playing games and got married, and took care of his wife ... and then she went batshit crazy. Other than that, I loved the two of them together.
Burke! I'd love for you to show your face, man, but there's no room at the inn. I enjoyed his character. Isaiah Washington is amazingly talented. Just think the type of story lines that could've derived if he'd still been a cast member; the shooting, the storm/electrocution, he, owen and christina in a triangle of some sorts, etc. He can act.
Derek's sisters. Or his mother. Or All of them.

ReplyDeleteIt only makes sense for a character to come back if they can add something to the show, otherwise let them be. In that sense, I'd like to see Addison back because I think she's the only one who can actually bring interesting stories back to Grey's.
ReplyDeleteWhat would Izzie come back for? George is dead, she has no real connections to anyone else. Her coming back would be useful simply to fulfil viewer's wishes. That's, IMO, not a good enough reason.
I loved Teddy and since Sandra is leaving maybe we can have her as Owens love interests again.

ReplyDeleteShe has plenty of connections with Meredith, Christina, Bailey, and even Derek (who saved her life) and the Chief, not to mention, of course, Alex. She is also no stranger to Callie with all the history there. That's more than enough!
ReplyDeleteI doubt they would have introduced Owen if Burke was still around. Which was a good thing in my book because Owen>>>Burke (and not even in a Christina related kind of way)

ReplyDeleteIt's one thing to have a flashback episode or a dream; but Ghost Denny took up half a season...
ReplyDeleteI see you point, but I think the problem with Izzie is that she has nothing substantial to bring to the show at this point. Let's face it, in Grey's everyone saved your life at some point, so that wouldn't be much of a surprise, Alex has had several significant others after she left, and Callie is now married to a woman, so not even that would create much of a plot.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, my only point is that Addison could create some different dynamics. I'm not saying she should steal Derek from Meredith, this would be ridiculous. But maybe she'd freshen things up a bit and, who knows, even fill in on Christina's shoes as another attending, considering Sandra Oh's exit has been confirmed. I doubt it will happen, but as I said, she's the only one I see as a possible smart come-back.

ReplyDeleteIzzie of course! Addi too, but she had her own show in the meantime. I stopped watching GA after both Addison and Izzie were gone and started watching Private Practice. So the only thing that would get me back to GA is Izzie or Addi.
ReplyDeleteWish Teddy had got some more votes - I feel like everyone just forgot she existed. I loved her! I have to admit I voted for Addison (regretting the choice a bit now)simply because she's my all time favourite GA character, I'd love, love, love to see her back but I feel that with PP her storyline has been pretty well wrapped up. I sort of felt like Teddy just disappeared, her leaving was so utterly overshadowed by everything else that was going on :(

ReplyDeleteI liked Teddy too. I didn't love her or anything but I liked her just fine and I thought that she ended up fitting very well, having developed relationships with several characters on the show. I think they could get her back for next season.
