The Walking Dead - Episode 4.04 - Indifference - Preview

3 Nov 2013

The Walking Dead continues its 4th season this week with “Indifference”. In this week episode, Daryl and its group try to find a way back to prison after losing their car to the zombies attack last week and Rick deals with the aftermath of Carol’s shocker revelation : she killed Karen and David because they had the flu.

So, what can you expect from this episode ?

• Expect to be scared : Daryl, Michonne and their friends are lost in the country, with no car, no supplies but guns and knives. Of course, they are badass killers so many walkers are going down but, some of them are quite scary and still dangerous. There is real danger for everyone out there. I jumped my seat twice at least watching it.
Also, Rick and Carol decide to take a trip to the city so they could grab food (they lost some in the block D) and some medicines (so Carol doesn’t have to kill everybody who is sick). Sure, they won’t be alone and peaceful much longer in this small town. Walkers are everywhere !

• Expect to laugh a little : I’m not saying much but watch out for the stairs !

• Expect to cry a little : One the scene is really peaceful and moving. It really shows the bond between those two characters and it’s quite touching. Specially when you think about that someone’s past and what happened to her. There is still hope in the apocalyptic world.

• Expect to be annoyed : One character turns out to have a Shan-y attitude. Remember Shane and how annoying he was in season 2, well, I think one of them is developing the same thing. He is reckless, stubborn, obsessed and angry all the time…. I’m not liking this, It feels like they done it before so we get it. Luckily, one of the characters makes a great speech to him, I’m sure it will help him change… Or he just gonna have to die like Shane did.

• Expect to be sad : One character dies and is eaten by walkers. It’s always disgusting and sad. Bye bye you

• Expect to be shocked : One character doesn’t make it back to the prison. It’s sad and heart breaking. I did not see it coming, it was a real shocker. and clearly I’m still not happy about it (I'm sure you won't when you watch it too) but I will discuss that on my full review !

So, in a word, don’t misss the crazy episode of The Walking Dead. The season proves to be one of the best of the show. I had my concerns since it was a new showrunner but he found his peace and it clearly shows he knows he is doing and where he wants to go. And I’m following him where it takes me.
The characters keep on evolving, they are still surprising after 4 years and new survivors come to give new dynamics to the group. It’s really entertaining.

This episode of The Walking Dead will air in the UK on Friday 8th November on FOX, don’t miss it ! And don't miss my full review after the episode airs !

  1. Thanks for the preview Romain, nice one. Sounds like another good episode.

  2. Thanks for that preview dude. So Carol is finally going to die eh!? Was expecting it last season, about time.
If Tyrese bites the dust, so Bob can take over as the token black guy, there will be alot of uproar among fans

  3. I'm not saying Carol will die in this episode... And why do you want to see her dead ? She is an amazing character, she has grown so much, from beaten and silent wife from season 1 to cold murderer (but still human) in season 4. And she has this thing with Daryl, it's so cute.

As for Tyreese and Bob, their attitude will put them in real danger...

  4. One of the characters makes a great speech. That would probably be Herschel. He's the king of great speeches.

  5. I doubt it'll be Hershel since he's not one of the six out and about. I see Tyreese being the Shane like character and either Daryl or Bob being the speech giver. As far as the shocking death I expect it to be Bob. There's just too many stories going on with the others. Rick and Daryl could die but they're two of the main characters especially Daryl. If Daryl dies there will be a riot lol. Rick's the main character but as we've seen everyone's expendable. Killing Carol or Tyreese off would ruin a great future storyline. What would happen between the two if Tyreese found out she killed Karen? Michonne has the baby storyline that we still have unanswered questions about. The only one who I feel is expendable is Bob. We know little about him but enough. He suffers from PTSD and he's a recovering alcoholic. That's all we really need to know about him honestly although I'm sure they could add more but he's (at this point) expendable.

I don't want her dead but I hope she doesn't get off scotch free either from what she did. She did the wrong thing for the right reasons.

Out of curiosity, many people are saying Carol was covering for someone else with Karen and David's deaths. Is that question answered this week?

  8. Thanks for telling us bob dies! it sucks, he was one of my favorite actors on the wire and we barely got to know him

  9. Nobody is syaing Bob will die. Timbolio is just guessing.

  10. No, the question is not even raised ;) She totally assumed what she did. She is a strong woman now !

Oh I get that, it's just some fans don't want it to really be her that did it and are saying she's covering for someone else.

  12. I can understand but I like the fact that she did that. It showed how her character have evolved, she has been through a lot, and that changed her. It would haven been out of character for Carol in season 1 but for Carol now, it's logical.

I totally agree with you on that, for sure.

  14. Thanks JulianDenton. I am just guessing. I have not seen the episode nor have I read any spoilers. I'm just weighing the options. I've read all the comics and Bob wasn't a big character. He wasn't a part of the prison group either and his fate's unknown. Michonne showed emotion whilst holding Judith and that emotion has yet to be explained so I'm guessing she's safe. Rick and Daryl are major fan favorites especially Daryl. My guesses are as follows. 1. Bob 2. Carol 3. Tyreese 4. Michonne 5. Rick 6. Daryl.

Dark, it's been awhile, I used to be on here a ton during the days of LOST. Hope all is well.

  16. Hey @Chandra M. Jordan Good to see some of the old crowd ;) All is well thank you :)

  17. Yes, I understand your guess. But after watching the episode, you'll understand you missed something.

But I agree with you, Bob is the most likely to die. They better not touch Michonne or Daryl ! lol

  18. yeah i overreacted. Bob is gonna be around for awhile. One of the two new characters introduced this episode will die

    That's great!

  20. It was the only choice she could've made; Carol had already been exposed to Patrick so, if she got sick handling the bodies, no one would be the wiser.

Karen and David were already dead, it was a matter of time for them, but it was a race against the clock to kill the virus before the sickness got spread. And this was the only way to make sure before Sasha and Glenn got sick.

  21. I don't think it would've been out of character in season 1, after all, she did hold on to one of Rick's granades at the CDC and she smashed her husband's skull to prevent Ed would turn.

Its a natural progression going from her daughter to the children to the whole group: Carol is still the same nurturing, caring presence, it's just that the people she protects are everywhere now.

  22. Yes, I totally understand her point but sure, it's a bit extreme. She could have waited for some medicines to help them or she could have raised the question to their council. She acted alone.

Yes, she did and it wasn't right. I've said since last week it was the wrong decision with the right reason.

  24. I dunno man. It is described as heart breaking. Bob has not been around enough and seems to have something to build to. I don't think I could be heart broken over a new characters either. Part of me says it may be Daryl. I don't want it to be. He's probably my favorite character. I'm almost in agreement with Timbolio's comment. Only I'd put it 1. Michonne 2. Daryl 3. Carol 4.Tyreese.

  25. There were no medicines, Daryl and Michonne left after Sasha went into quarantine, no matter how fast they would make that run: Karen and David were already dead.

  26. This article was somewhat misleading. I kind of thought it would be a main character. But yeah it was indeed a great show.

  27. I was expecting her to die in season 1, don't know why they keep trying to keep her alive. She may have a vocal online fanbase, (b/c hell would freeze over before I believe she has a popular one), but the general audience don't care about characters like her, Beth, Bob etc.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I just don't see it being Michonne. They started a story with her when she was holding Judith leaving us all wondering what that was all about. Only she can tell that story and she can't if she's gone. We'll see. Should be a great show.
