The first 6 episodes was perfect but after that I just lost my interest.. Hope season 2 will be good! 'cause IMO, James Purefoy is an amazing actor and definitely wanna see him more!
Hope the 'FBI is comprised of complete idiots and a cult of unstable and psychopathic people works like a well oiled machine' thing is not there this time around.
The last season's only good aspect was each episode's fast-paced structure along with two main actors. FBI was totally awkward, hilarious and irritating. This really hurt the show's realism and lowered its quality a lot. The writers gave too much credit to the cult and that was also a bullet to the show's realism. So I really thought to quit watching the show but couldn't do that for being optimistic about the upcoming episodes. I want to say that the first 10 episodes of "Revolution"s first season was a disappointment but in the second half of the season it improved a bit, not much. Now, it's second season is really great! I can't believe every episode is riveting, fast-paced, exciting and mysterious. A huge improvement over the first season. Hope "The Following"s second season can be as succesful and fixed as "Revolution"s second season!
This really was what turned me off this show. I get that they wanted the cult to be dangerous and savvy, but making the FBI so unbelievable incompetent just cheapened the whole thing.
But that's the catch, how interesting can you make such a vapid cult?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteMe too. In fact, I will not watch until people can assure me this has been fixed. It was way too annoying last season.

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this. Sure it had flaws, but I loved the ride last season!
