I really feel bad for Caroline. She's a good person and people just keep hurting her. But at the same time, I'm a steroline shipper and they just opened up the door. I mean seriously, it's WIDE open! At least give me something so I don't have to worry about the love triangle anymore!
The last time the door was this open, Jack and Lupo were single and living together in Eureka. They let the opportunity pass RIGHT by them. Don't make the same mistake!
Didn't see Nadia as Katherine's daughter coming. Also, didn't expect Salis to get the cure so fast and without much consequence (or at least for now?), but glad Katherine didn't die.
Why this ep didn't work for me. In a word, Silas. I'm beyond sick of the character. I'm also sick of the doppelganger stories. This show is feeling played out. I felt bad for Caroline, but she and Tyler have been doing this same thing for so long now. Is it over for good or what?
The only semi interesting story, for me, was Nadia and Katherine.
I used to love this show. It used to be that I couldn't wait for the next ep. And now, almost at the couldn't care less stage here. Played out, is played out.
Yep, I think this is it for Tyler/Caroline. She's probably going to move onto Jesse next to help him adapt to being a vampire (just like she helped Tyler when he triggered the curse).
I used to really like this show but this season is irritating me more than entertaining me. The storylines are so repetitive and Silas as the newest main "villain" never worked. His character felt like a rush job ("Uh-oh, we need a new baddie... I know, let's just make another doppelganger!") once they got the green-light that Klaus would have his own spin-off and would therefore be leaving.
Each week I watch this, the more I am preferring The Originals.
This season has been disappointing I have to say. :/
I think a big part of it is because I really don't like how Elena is acting (and Damon too). Elena used to not just stand by as Damon was possibly killing someone. Yes, it's Katherine and she's been a *itch, but old Elena would not have just watched, not with Katherine now human.
And Damon so deserved that neck snap from Stefan (even if Damon was snapping Stefan's for a cause). I don't want Stefan to have his memories lost forever, but right now it's good for him. Without his memories, he doesn't take *rap.
I'm glad the Originals have their own show now. At first I just wanted them off the show cause I was tired of Klaus ruining everything and wanted to focus on the show's main characters, but now I'm glad the Originals have their own show because their story on it is much more interesting and mature than it was on this show (and I now love The Originals).
Really hope if Tyler shows up on The Originals it is not for long. I don't want Tyler to die but am annoyed by his persistence. I understand Klaus killed his mother but Tyler is destroying his life by going after him for revenge. And a Tyler revenge plot would weaken The Originals, in my opinion. I was hoping to keep the 2 shows distant from each other.
they murdered Tyler's character a long time ago by never giving him a real chance to grow....sending him off for half a season every season doesn't do well for character development...I really like him & Caroline/ loved Candice & Michael's chemistry, but the writers have not done them justice AT ALL.
I'm glad they got it over with though and had them break up...it's just how they did it...I understand people change but it was less than a season ago these two were spouting "until we find a way"....more like "until klaus gets a spinoff...then we can part ways cause I can probably get more screen time over there"....they're terrible with Caroline's character as well & she'll fall for Jesse while helping him be a vampire until she realizes he's probably spying for the council or some lame crap like that
& yes I'm bitter but it's only because I used to look forward to watching this show & now it's a chore to watch and try to stay interested
Didn't like Naida at all until I found out she's Katherine's daughter, now she's awesome. I'm surprised she was actually nice to her when she found considering how she treated Isabelle and Elena. I like that arc I think it's refreshing but the rest of this episode was yawn, I liked witch bitch coming back but I don't like the professor's arc at all
hopefully, when Stefan gets his memory back his new personality traits stick around, as it helped the love triangle aspect not be as centered as per usual. But other than that his character seems almost pointless this season. He's almost practically the moonstone like Katherine. It does seem like Silas is on his way out, but I doubt it. However, this show seems like it's wanting to end soon to me after starting to watch the originals in comparison, and it also seems like Tyler will make to New Orleans at some point.
If Katherina would have died, I would have been SO over with the show.
I used to love TVD, at the time when season 2 was aired I couldn't wait for the next episode, 7 days were like torture, I loved that show and everytime I came Fridays at home, first thing I did: Watch TVD.
But now? Season 5 is crap! TVD had such a great mythology, but since season 4 they destroy that with each episode (Season 2: Tatianna was the first Petrova, her blood was used to make the hybrid-cure, so nature, who needed to keep everything in balance, created the Petrova-Doppelgaenger-line so that the curse could be undone / Season 5: "Oh yeah right, now that we have Delena and Elena rejected Stefan, the love-triangle is dying... How about we drag the triangle until the series-finale, so let's forget the rules we made in season 2, Amara is now the first Petrova, Stefan is a doppelgaenger, the universe wants Stelena..." --> Seriously?! What are the writers smoking? Which fucking drug they take while writing the scripts?! It's so fucked up, I want the same stuff too...
Now since TVD is going so uphill with every single episode, I love The Originals so much more,
Katherina is the only character I still love on TVD. Elena is a little overwhelming b*tch, Damon losed his edge, Stefan is boring, Caroline sucks, she got so annoying (since season 4), Tyler is like a extra the producers don't know what to do with, Silas is just nerv-wracking and Jeremy is kind of "useless". I seriously don't know why he had to come back to life. Bonnie should have stayed alive and Jeremy should have stayed dead.
Katherine, the only person most fans (including me) still love, together with Nadia and Matt have a great storyline (well, it's just took 5 years for Matt to have a good storyline), while Bonnie's storyline is fun to watch.
The rest? Meh.
If Katherine would have died this episode, I would have said f*ck you to TVD and would have shifted completly to The Originals, right now is 100000x better than TVD.
Am I the only one that still hates Katherine? Her character is, and always has been, completely insufferable. The way she carries herself is so obnoxious and unrealistic, i.e. her constantly trying to use her 'sex appeal' and her deep, sultry voice like that's a thing people actually do. It's tired and now that she's human I wish she'd figure out that it just doesn't work anymore. So many things about this show irk me, but Katherine is probably at the top of my list.
I think it's funny how Klaus is willing to let go of his bitterness for Tyler for Caroline and yet Tyler isn't able to make the same sacrifice for her. Now who is the better hybrid?
I wonder how Tyler will react to the news of Hayley having Klaus's baby when he goes to NO and if that will factor into his revenge plot.
I make it short today, I didn´t like this episode that much, because I expected at least half things that happened here (Nadia is Katherine´s daughter, fooling Tessa, Elena running around asking questions). I was surprised only at the end. How is she still alive? I knew she´s going to be alive (promo pics) but the reason behind it?
I agree, TO is the much better show and it has surprised me since I never liked Klaus, Hayley or the baby story, but have grown to look forward to more of their stories. Elijah is still my favorite original and the reason I started watching.
I don't like her either, but I did find her story interesting this episode and was glad she lived, if not to get to know her daughter more, to annoy Elena and Damon more.
Really Tyler, really? How low can one be to come back, sleep with his girlfriend, attend a party with her and then tell her he was leaving? A goodbye text would have been cruel but not nearly a cruel as this bullshit. Not really eager to see him on TO.
'it was less than a season ago these two were spouting "until we find a way"....more like "until klaus gets a spinoff...then we can part ways cause I can probably get more screen time over there" ' LOL. I agree it really became a chore, sometimes I have to force myself to stay focused when I'm watching and not let my mind drift.
I never liked him especially since I was a huge fan of Caroline and Matt and he sort of ruined their relationship in my opinion when he turned and Caroline started spending time helping him.
I honestly have nothing nice to say about this episode except that I liked the Nadia\Kathrine scenes and when Stefan snapped Damon's neck I was glad even if Damon was killing Stefan for a reason he was a jerk for doing so and enjoying it, ugh.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
It certainly looks like Silas won't be sticking around long. It also looks like Tyler is headed off to NO. I sort of hope he gets killed off.
ReplyDeleteI really feel bad for Caroline. She's a good person and people just keep hurting her. But at the same time, I'm a steroline shipper and they just opened up the door. I mean seriously, it's WIDE open! At least give me something so I don't have to worry about the love triangle anymore!

O M G. Katherine pierce is the best. That is all

No I agree with what you're saying. I once loved Caroline & Tyler as a couple too until the writers wrecked their relationship.
ReplyDeleteDidn't like Naida at all until I found out she's Katherine's daughter, now she's awesome. ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that Marcel and his vampires kill Tyler because he ventures into vampire territory (and he's a werewolf).
ReplyDeleteKatherine was friends with Isobel though.
ReplyDeleteAgree with a lot of what you said! And oh god, I hope they don't bring Tyler onto The Originals.
ReplyDeleteIf Katherina would have died, I would have been SO over with the show.

Does anyone else think Katherine is back to being a vampire? Since the curse was removed from her body.
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode. It had surprise after surprise, and what unbelievable ending.
ReplyDeleteI make it short today, I didn´t like this episode that much, because I expected at least half things that happened here (Nadia is Katherine´s daughter, fooling Tessa, Elena running around asking questions). ReplyDeleteFinally an ep I liked from start to finish..hate to see Tyler go, but would love him on TO going after Klaus.

ReplyDeleteTyler is a hybrid not a werewolf anymore he lost that when Klaus forced him to drink his blood and then snap his neck bringing him back as a Hybrid
ReplyDeleteFor a minute i thought Stefan regained his memory when he started saying something smart when he was coming back lol.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine how the x-ray of his neck would look like lol
You said everything I was thinking about when I was watching this episode.
ReplyDelete'it was less than a season ago these two were spouting "until we find a way"....more like "until klaus gets a spinoff...then we can part ways cause I can probably get more screen time over there" ' LOL. ReplyDeleteI want Stefan and Caroline to get together really bad and I'm glad that she is the only person he trusted and opened up to when he lost his memories.
ReplyDeleteI never liked him especially since I was a huge fan of Caroline and Matt and he sort of ruined their relationship in my opinion when he turned and Caroline started spending time helping him.

ReplyDeleteI hope not, I want her to be human, even if she is like never dying
ReplyDelete
