I am going with the Grimm Gang taking down Zombie Nick because they all had a vital role in the scene. I like when the Grimm Gang works together and this time saved Nick. I will say that I am NOT excited by yet another round of the amnesia game. Here's hoping that isn't dragged out as long as it was last season.
Nah, he got some memories back in the last couple of minutes of the episode. And besides, it's not like there's a WHOLE lot he needs to remember as in the case with Juliette.
I had to go with the gang taking down Zombie Nick. Maybe I watched too much Shrek, but the fact that Monroe grabbed a pitchfork to defend himself was such a lovely twist.
:-) Glad you are okay. I agree that Mostly Dead Nick isn't going away anytime soon. I am very curious as to what other side effects Nick is going to have. Pretty sure I wouldn't like sleeping next to a corpse every night though.
Ha! That was one of my favorite quotes this week. My other favorites include:
***Hank: "I wish I could do that." ***News: "All of Vienna is in mourning." Renard: "All of Portland, isn't." ***Monroe: "But it wasn't his fault. I mean you saw him. He was trying to kill us. I mean not us personally, generally speaking…" Hank: "Not a great defense." ***Juliette: "Are you sure you feel okay?" Nick: "Well I did until you told me I was dead." ***Monroe: "One zombie romp every generation or so is plenty."
Honestly, the Vienna thing was an eye rolling moment...as if anybody would care for some random guy, royal blood or not. As long as he isn't part of the reigning family, they fact that there was an explosion would be the more interesting part. .
Renard is the most intriguing character on teh show for me so I am always up for him having more screen time. I also like the way Renard got through to Nick in a way his friends could not. I just hope he destroys the security footage now that Nick has seen it. Won't do for it to be hanging over their heads.
I think the reason it was big news is because it was an assassination. Even lesser royalty becomes beloved in the media when something like that happens. I could very well imagine people and the press making him into something bigger than he is. However, I also believe in the Grimm world that Prince Eric was probably a media darling in a lot of ways. I could see him growing up in the spotlight for being the bad boy and he obviously came from a lot of money, which in many ways can be more enticing to media attention than royalty itself.
Not because it was big news...the "whole Vienna is in mourning" line...that is something the media would say when either someone very popular and well known died or when something really tragic happens. I just don't see Eric as media darling especially not in Vienna. Of all the European countries, Germany, France and Austria are the once with the last interest in royal blood, because there isn't such thing as a reigning family, unlike in countries like the UK, Denmark aso.
And the obsession plot...I don't want to see anyone of the main cast obsessed or sexually out of control ever again. It is practically a rite of passage in the show.
I chose the gang discusses how to lie so they all say the same thing. Actually anything with the gang would be my choice, and the addition of Juliette just sparks it up. TPTB really, really waiting too long to get that going.
I would suspect so too. After all the last time he had residual power from a Wesen, it was never heard of again. I suspect that he will only have special powers when the plot calls for it.
I am glad that Juliette is in the gang and had something to do in this one. She drove me nuts in the premiere and a good portion of last season. Of course, anyone whose character arc was coma-obsession-amnesia would not be winning any prizes from me. I hope they find a way to keep her integrated this season without the daytime soap tactics.
I sure hope there's no pictures of Nick somewhere in an online file on the fake identity Eric created for Nick....seeing a file of ''Thomas'' with NicKs, picture *might* raise question....And i'm wondering how long before the 2 cops saw that 'thomas' was dead and in a plane crash *before* he attacked the bar and the family
There are definitely major plot holes they are going to have to gloss over or ignore here. If they connect the plane crash to Thomas, which they almost have to since he was on the flight manifest and this is not The Following, then like you said they are going to have to wonder how a dead guy caused so much destruction. Looking at the coffin and the fist marks in the metal ought to cause suspicions as well. Then you have the problem that the homeowner saw Captain Renard so the next time he holds a press conference, the guy is going to know Renard was at his house. It's a short step from there to get all of them identified.
I'll accept if there's noc pics online cause Renard and his partner in Europe didn't find any and since the Royals had the good connections they didn't need too much paperwork to get their flight approved...but if the cops never find out about Thomas being dead....it's gonna be a big plot hole
i am actually okay with them dropping this pretty quickly as well. It means less suspension of disbelief on my part and less emoangsting on Nick's. both would be good things.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteFrom your lips to the writers' ears. Amnesia as a whole has been played out, but especially on this show.
ReplyDeleteOverall a great episode, zombie Nick was something else, it was good seeing Juliette more involved with the Grimm gang :)
ReplyDeleteI had to go with the gang taking down Zombie Nick. Maybe I watched too much Shrek, but the fact that Monroe grabbed a pitchfork to defend himself was such a lovely twist.
ReplyDeleteJuliette is getting my Most Improved award this week.
ReplyDeleteBwah! I loved that part too. Such a great moment.
ReplyDeleteGreat, call I totally agree, she really did shine, I hope she keeps it up:)
ReplyDeletedead Pech stew....bwahahaha. I'm almost choked.
ReplyDeleteI picked the mostly dead Nick scene. That was creepy. Not the last we've seen of that.
I liked "I feel fine... except my face kind of hurts."

ReplyDeleteI'm for renard talking with Nick...but I admit, I always dig scenes between those two. They have currently the most interesting dynamic in the show.

ReplyDeletewith him turning in to Zombie mode it seems like his power ups will be temporary, tho would hope its permanent.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote was the ''Plan not working'' after Monroe knocked down the lamp xD Great job there buddy!

ReplyDeleteVery true. They have run both plots into the ground already.
ReplyDeleteI think it is typical media hyperbole.
ReplyDeleteThat one was really funny too. Monroe usually gets the good lines.
ReplyDeleteI would suspect so too. After all the last time he had residual power from a Wesen, it was never heard of again. I suspect that he will only have special powers when the plot calls for it.

ReplyDeleteI have a bad feeling about that investigation.

ReplyDeleteI hope is IS a big plot hole. I don't ever want to hear about this storyline again unless it's absolutely necessary.
