While the "driver-shotgun" quote skated to an easy victory, we had a few close ones yesterday. Sam's confusion about yesterday being Tuesday and today being Tuesday as well lost by a mere 4 votes. With 47% of the votes each, Dean's quotes about Mary being a babe and "Pudding!" also exit the contest. Today's poll will be tough for me thanks to the cursed rankings in this contest. The remaining quotes I can't stand are going against each other, while several truly awesome quotes will be eliminated since they face-off against each other too. Here's hoping voting is easier for you! Happy voting!

29. Argh! I don't even know how "fight the fairies" is still in this. Kicking butt is definitely preferable.
30. I know it is sacrosanct but I am not a big fan of the AHBL1 speech. I much prefer the one in AHBL2. Besides, if we are really going to lose the panic room over a long, somewhat incoherent sob fest I want to show it my support at least. I owe to Bobby and his awesome weekend project.

I don't know know about other people, but for me, the fairy line was all in the delivery. It stuck in my head and I smile. Like the scream when Dean opens the locker in Yellow Fever. However, I'm definitely guilty of voting funny over serious or dramatic lines most of the time. I quote funny, I remember funny. I appreciate the drama on more of a scene level.
ReplyDeleteI agree that sometimes delivery can really sell a dud line. I just didn't care for this one despite Jensen's best effort. Or more accurately, I liked it find enough the first time but have disliked it more in every rewatch. I also don't find the scream that spectacular so different strokes for different folks and all.

3.29) I love Dean's bravado here. Beats fairies any day!
3.30) I think Bobby was awesome in building a panic room in a weekend!? But Dean's pain over Sam's death moves me every time.It gets my vote.
3.31) I love Sam's brooding shoulders. That scene in the laundrette was so funny.
The less said about the other, the better!
3.32) I like both, but the way the clown/ plane quote was delivered was so spot-on and gets my vote.

Congrats on the rewatch. That's quite the commitment given how many episodes there are now. This is the first summer in which I have not rewatched the entire series.
ReplyDeleteI pretty much watch an episode a day at the gym during my lunch hour, so I expect I'll still be at it around Christmas, but whatever, I've forgotten a lot in the last 8 years.
ReplyDeleteI usually start with s4, go to the end, then start with one and go to the end again, but this year I have not. Season 8 broke my heart and I have not even gotten thru S2 yet.
