    wow, I'm starting to think that Bobby's return may actually make sense and not be another resurrection because "we feel like it".plot.


    Although it was pretty obvious that Castiel will devout his life to help his fallen family, I'm glad it is confirmed. And I really hope they won't make him do sth stupid again just because they need sb to do it because it is getting old and I'd like him to actually succeed in sth for a change.


    About Sam, I'm not sure if Iike it or not that they're making him kind of give up. In a way it makes sense but I'm not sure if it won't be followed only by yet another Family Speech from Dean and nothing else since we know Sam won't know how Dean rescued him). But we will see, I hope I will be surprised in a positive way :)

    Disgusting and sickening.""There ain’t no me if there ain’t no you" seriously? Dean is much more than that and deserves better. Seeing how they're destroying his character with s8 finale and now this, well this just fuels my resolve to quit, I had a better concept of Carver but now I have no respect for him.

    Sigh. I love Dean. But why is it that Dean is usually the one telling someone how much he needs them or that, "There ain't no me if there ain't no you." It would be nice if his feelings were verbally reciprocated by his loved ones.

    That has been Dean from day 1 it is a much part of him as breathing . So I am not really sure what the disgusting and sickening is about unless you dont like the brothers relationship ? . Not going to change now .

    Well the ingredients are all there, big brother Dean,dying Sammy, Death, Abaddon, the Impala. Let's hope Carver knows how to mix them and produce the cake.

    I don't really get this stuff about curing the demons though.

    They are all in human meat suits on Earth, so is it the 'smoke' that gets cured and if so what about the human bodies, some of which will still be alive and have their soul inside

    Are you really surprised and shocked that Dean wants his little brother to live? Didn't he just stop Sam from doing the trials b/c he thought Sam was going to die? How is Dean being destroyed? This IS Dean Winchester.

    Same here :) Only part I'm excited about to be honest (well, except Abaddon!)
    We've been in Sam's head too many times. And if that's how they're bringing Bobby back I'm a little disappointed. It looks like Sam's gonna pull a Deaths' Door. That episode was fine, but repeating it will just water everything down.

    Rosa, he's got his hands full with many of fallen angels. They blame him for their fall from heaven and at least one of them tries to kill him. I'm not giving anything away it's been on a few clips and Jeremy Carver interviews. All of Team Free Will is going to have a story to tell.

    Sam is dying and Death is waiting to reap his soul. But Dean gets inside is head and tells him to fight back. And Bobby tells Sam he is leaving behind a legacy. I think Bobby is telling Sam to go with the reaper and Dean is telling Sam to fight to stay alive.

    The show was always about the brotherhood of Sam and Dean. It was and is the most cruical part of the whole show.



    "There ain't no me if there ain't no you" is actually a good way to sum up what the show is about.



    This part of Dean's characterization was always constant and I would be disgusted if it would be changed - because than I would thing the show was messed up.

    Sure Dean is more than just Sam's brothers and the other way around, but from Dean's perspective his life isn't his life without Sam. He was always protrayed like this in the show since the first episode.. If it would be different know, the showrunner would have destroyed the whole concept of the show...




    If you find it that disgusting and sickening why do you watch the show?

    Charlie told Dean she loved her.

    In the end of season 8 Sam kinda verbally reciprocated his feelings. He might not have spoken directly how much he values Dean, but telling Dean how he feels failing his brother is the biggest sin he has committed, shows how much Sam needs, values and loves Dean.

    In season 3 with the deal there where a lot of scenes with Sam voicing his need for his brothers as I remember and Sam's actions showed it too (fighting against the deal, etc.) --> and actions speak louder than words... That the person that Sam calls out for when in trouble) is always his brother and how much he needs Dean approval and trust show how much Sam needs Dean.

    I agree that Dean gets the emotional speeches more often and I would also prefer if somebody directly voices his feelings to Dean more often, but it does happen every once in a while..

    If this season concentrates on strengthening the brother bond, I'm all for it and if they brought back the Amulet, that would be the icing on the cake.:)


    I'm definitely more excited than last year but I'm still going to be cautious until Carver shows he is capable of improving on that terrible season 8.

    I don't think there will be a Deaths' Door repeat as Dean does something to save Sam as we know from spoilers, which he will keep a secret.

    Secondly, I don't think we've been in Sam's head too many times. Yes, we have been in Sams head before, but I never felt like getting real insight on Sam's feeling and never had Dean insight on what is really going on inside of Sam. So this is different - Dean will see what is going on in his brother's head.

    Um....Perhaps you need to watch season one again, where Dean goes to Sam's dorm and practically begs Sam to come with him. Dean stated he can't and don't wanna do this without Sam. Dean has and will always be a family guy first, then a hunter.

    When I talk about their brotherhood, I always have in mind that this brotherhood is a very special brotherhood different and stronger than normal siblings - no suprise after everything that has happened.

    I feel the same way as you do :-)

    I would love for the brother bond to be strengthened and cemented. I would also love to see Sam fighting for Dean's life or showing his love for Dean in a grand way as Dean gets to do every year w/Sam. I know Sam loves Dean as much as Dean loves him, but I would love to see some grand gesture of it. We've seen a little in the past, but it would be nice to see again.

    I don't know why these previews sparked my interest but they certainly have. I guess it's b/c of the brothers. I'm really interested in the premiere. I wish it was on tonight. Hahaha!

    But like you I'm still reserved when it comes to the season. S8 was such a tragedy to me that I want to keep my expectations very low!

    This doesn't appear like it will be like Death's Door. This looks more like In My TIme of Dying when Dean was dealing with his reaper only Dean is along for the ride. We don't see any flashbacks that I can tell of Sam nor does this seem to be retelling of his life.

    The only other time I can recall the audience being in Sam's head was in S6 when Cas dropped the wall. I don't consider the Lucifer hallucinations to have been moments inside Sam's mind.

    Perhaps they kind blend in with the demon. You know how demons know everything about the person because they possess the mind? Perhaps it is the same thing. Very interesting metaphysical question. Kind of the same thing you have to ask about Cas and Jimmy. Although Jimmy has to be a drooling mess by this point or dead. But you know what I mean.

    Sam just died like that?, gets more interesting. I still stick to the theory of Death curing him or yanking that trial out of him, with the help of Dean. Glad Dean punched Crowley!, I do hope Crowley will be chained up for a while so he can suffer a little lol :)
    Again it looks like Cas had pissed off his own kind, I hope he'll be ok though..his head will hurt after being knocked. Despite what it looks like I think that she and Cas may actually get along probably unwillingly lol.
    Very excited for the premiere, its really unfair to wait for so long, but it adds to the excitement!.

    That amulet should of had a better funeral than be dumped in the trash. I would like it back though.
    I believe the brothers' bond will be very much stronger, only if the secret is so serious, yikes!. Regardless they'll have to get along because of heaven and hell.
    Its good about heaven being the next hellish generation, because they been at the sidelines for too long lol. I'm very excited, I do have precautions like you but joy taken over because its been tough without SPN.

    Yup.

    Well, the fact that many possessed bodies recover 100% when the Demon is exorcised leaves a big question mark for me which needs an explanation.

    When a body is possessed the real person is still in there, see Sam himself when possessed by Meg, and it can't be fair to them if the occupying demon gets to take over, or affect that body and soul.

    Sam in the clip asks Crowley for the names of all the demons on Earth; so if the bros are going to do some world-wide curing, the only fair thing would be a resurrection of the demons' original bodies; dead bodies rising from the ground all around the Earth as in opposition to the angels having fallen from heaven.

    It would be a nice scene seeing them all rise. :)

    canon-trashing was a big part of why the season was so bad for me, so if
    they are going to give us new canon they must explain it

    The angel/ vessel stuff was much better mapped out; we were told about the blood-lines, that the vessel had to give its consent; Castiel himself I believe said that they were better than demons because they asked first.

    Jimmy is probably dead. Castiel came back to life in SSong, I doubt JImmy's soul was put back into his body, but who knows.

    I partially agree. If Bobby was to come back which he is his soul may be leaked through Sam by Death. Does that make sense? lol. Probably unlikely though. I think Bobby may have never left in the first place. To be more advanced he could of been dragged down from the Heaven like Ash and Pamela's.
    I think when Dean prayed either to Death or not, Death came and took action. The Bobby and Dean opinions sounds very true so I agree on that. I think the format Sam is could be semi-unconsciousness. He wakes up briefly and then back to sleep so Dean can physically say fight on.
    We pretty much have same theories but yours was great and logical.

    I agree about Sam. It would be great once and for all for Dean to see how Sam loves and cares for Dean as much as Dean cares for him.


    Being inside Sam's head would be the perfect time for the whole thing to be put to rest ( ie the bro bond is equally stroong for both bros, ) and we can get on with their adventures.

    What I feel is missing is that there is no reference to killing monsters, saving peoople because while getting rid of demons is all well and good, there is an army of other monsters walking the Earth and it would be nice to see the bros getting back to basics without the angel/demon stuff now and then.

    Well the amulet was supposed to signal God's presence, so I believe it might eventually show up in one way or another, sooner or later.

    I do hope that the bros don't argue any more.
    Maybe the writers love to mak them punch each other out, but I'm sure many fans prefer them to be good with each other.
    Dean himself said that they were stronger when they were together and that they kept each other human. :)

    Let's hope s9 manages to redeem the horrible s8.

    Well said! I hope for something like "IMTOD" with SamPOV! I didn't post here for a long time, but this new promo also some new spoilers are really encouraging and makes me happy right now! IMTOD was one of the best brother-centric episodes with the POV from both Sam and Dean! Seems this time its Sam's turn, and Dean finally finding out what is inside of Sam's head, the "close-to-the-west" one of the two

    Well, one thing about this is the solution doesn't necessarily have to be "fair". It isn't "fair" that Adam is stuck in the cage for God knows how long now. It isn't "fair" that the angels(and I guess demons played a big part in it too) that Sam and Dean were thrust in to being the true vessels of two archangels.


    The Supernatural universe isn't fair. It can be down right dark and saddening(Like Swan Song when Sam made the jump) or the fact Crowley killed Kevin's girlfriend and Mother. Perhaps the demons will just inhabit the body of the human. But perhaps it's a weird subconscious melding of the two with the demon being the more dominate part. But who knows?


    I agree about Season 8 though. Although most of my disappointment there came from Amelia story line. I would have accepted Sam not looking for Dean IF(and I know it's unpopular view) the Amelia thing had been done better. IF we saw Sam struggle with being alone with no way to even START looking. It would have brought the "I let you down so much, that was my biggest sin I confessed in there, Dean" thing. I also hated the whole Metatron saying "Yeah the archangels all wanted to take over the universe." thing.


    I agree that it would be an awesome scene to see demons rise. It would by like poetry in motions. Angels falling from the sky. Demons rising from the ground.(Although who else but Mark could play Crowley? It's like recasting Cas to me. I think this would be my ONLY problem with that happening)

    I think what more disturbing about this comment is it's 50% approval rating. I get why you react that way. Kinda. But seriously this theme has been around since 9 years ago. They are two sides of a coin. You can't have Yin with Yang. You can't have Sam without Dean. It's not that Dean can't function without Sam and will just die. It's that Sam and Dean complete each other.

    I think the curing of the demons was simply a step in the trials so they could learn how to do it and have a mass cure-a-thon once Hell is sealed off.

    Yes, but I hope the writers do go into the mechanics of it.

    I know there is not time to explain everything on the show, but something as big as a mass cure of demons needs a minimum of exposition and not just be taken at face-value.

    However, any closing of Hell seems very complicated to me; it brings up all kinds of problems, not least theological.

    I must have missed spoilers. How do we know Dean gets any insight into what's happening in Sam's head (more than say, season 7 insight), or that this isn't going to be exactly like Death's Door with Sam replaying memories? Presumably memories not seen before by the audience, but memories all the same?
    Seriously did I miss something in the video because I don't get how this is different from what we've seen before.

    Sure, and I would say the same had it seemed like we'd be in Dean's head because I agree, too much for Dean as well.

    I don't think it looks like In My Time Of Dying, on reminder from another post, it looks more like season 6 The Man Who Knew Too Much where Sam's head could just be making crap up (which would be even worse than memories imo). It doesn't seem like he's acting ghostly or whatever like Dean did.

    But you know, whatever, it's a preview and in the end we'll probably both be wrong. :) I only hope it'll be something more unique or at least not last long as I just don't care for in the head episodes. Obviously. Too much for Sam. Too much for Dean. Too much for Bobby. Too much period.
