    I loved this. Very nice. It also just made me realize that Ichabod says there are two witnesses theorizing that it's him and Abbie but what about Abbie's sister? After all she has seen the four tree and the demon, too...

    Didn't they say in the pilot that there was a local farmer who also saw those four trees? In 1882? Something like that...

    Good point. Still, It wasn't crearly stated what the farmer saw, only that he "claimed to see the same thing in exact same location. He believed the trees were symbols representing the four horesmen of the apocalypse, and that the demon was sent here to raise them." Could be that he only saw the trees, and only guessed that the demon was involved too. Or the two poeple can be considered 'two witnesses' only if they'd met.

    Well hopefully the writers might clear it up in further episodes. However, I kind of doubt it since it was originally a throwaway line.
